Abstract

A circuit arrangement for feeding a circuit (8) and a load (1) controlled by the circuit pulse by pulse, for example a clock timer. An input voltage (Ue) feeds the load (1) via a voltage divider (23, 24, 25, 26) and a line (4a) feeds a NiCad cell (5) via a diode (9) and a series resistor (10), for maintaining operation in the event of voltage failure, in which case a buffer capacitor (18) charged up by the NiCad cell (5) during the pulse intervals then supplies the pulse energy. The NiCad cell (5) stabilizes the feed voltage at connection (7) of the circuit (8). In the event of a short circuit of the NiCad cell (5), the feed voltage for the circuit (8) is picked up at the voltage divider consisting of a resistor (21) and a diode (19) whilst in the case of an interruption, a stabilizing diode (20), the series circuit of which with the diode (19) is connected to the voltage of the line (4a) stabilizes the feed voltage of the circuit (8). GaAsP light-emitting diodes are used as stabilizing diodes (20, 26), one (20) of which is used for visually indicating a short circuit of the NiCad cell (5) whilst its interruption can be indicated by a further light-emitting diode (32). <IMAGE>
