Fig. 2 eine perspektivische Darstellung der Fenstereinfassung.

Window surround for renovating old buildings, characterized by a full-walled window sill (1) made of artificial stone with a Z-shaped cross-sectional shape, on which a vertical wall (5) made of artificial stone rests on both sides, the width of which is shorter than the width of the window sill ( 1), and that a cover plate (9) rests on the upper ends of the vertical enclosure walls (5).
2. Window surround according to claim 1, characterized in that the window sill (1) contains a water inlet groove (7) inclined towards the free end on both end faces.
3. Window frame according to claim 1, characterized in that both vertical frame walls (5) each have an angular shape in cross section.
4. Window border according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower end face of the vertical border walls (5) runs obliquely in accordance with the inclination of the central part (2) of the window sill (1) and a recess (8) for receiving the web (4) on the building side the window sill (1).
5. Window frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the end of the window sill (1) directed towards the inside of the building is flush with the edge of the vertical frame wall (5) (Fig. 1).
The invention relates to a window frame for renovating old buildings.
It turns out that in old buildings the wooden window frames including the window sill are often rotten and need renovation. In order to avoid unsatisfactory conditions after a short time after a repair, for example because rainwater cannot drain off easily, other solutions are sought that can be adapted to given structural conditions.
The invention aims to achieve the object of creating a permanent window frame that can be used in old buildings, that is not subject to rotting, that takes up little space and that drains well.
The invention with which this object is achieved is characterized by a full-walled window sill made of artificial stone with a Z-shaped cross-sectional shape, on which a vertical edging wall made of artificial stone rests on both sides, the width of which is shorter than the width of the window sill, and that a cover plate rests on the upper ends of the vertical enclosure walls.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a side view of the window sill including a vertical side wall,
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the window frame.
The window frame, which is made of artificial stone, is intended to be used in existing buildings after removing the earlier frame - mostly made of wood. The full-walled window sill 1 contains a central part 2, which is slightly inclined towards the outside of the building, a web 3 located on the outside of the building, protruding downward from the central part 2, and one from the other end
Central web of upwardly protruding further web 4, so that a Z-shaped cross section results.
Both end areas of the window sill 1 are vertical
Placed side walls 5, which rest loosely on the window sill 1 using putty or are rigidly connected to it. A cover plate 9 rests loosely on the upper ends of the side walls 5 or is rigidly connected to the side walls 5. This cover plate 9 consists of artificial stone. The cover plate 9 can contain a recess for receiving a roller shutter.
The vertical side walls 5 preferably have an angular cross section, the shorter leg 6 being located on the outside of the building and protruding in the direction of the building wall.
The lower end face of the vertical side walls 5 are inclined in the same way as the middle part 3 of the window sill 1, so that the side walls 5 are exactly vertical. Furthermore, the rear area of the side walls 5 is provided with a cutout 8 for receiving the web 4. The rear end of the vertical side walls 5 runs flush with the rear edge of the window sill 1. The width of the window sill 1 is greater than the width of the vertical side walls 5. The web 3 is at a certain horizontal distance from the building wall, so that Rainwater can drain well. On the front sides of the window sill 1 there is a molded, inclined water drainage groove 7 inclined towards the free end, which protrudes as far as the area of the leg 6.
To produce the artificial stone, customary mineral materials such as quartz sand and. Like. And a cold-curing, thermosetting plastic used as a binder.
