Abstract

This power supply monitoring device disconnects the domestic system at a predetermined minimum load in order thus to ensure improved personal safety and also to remedy interfering electromagnetic fields which can adversely affect the wellbeing or the sleep of inhabitants of a house. A current relay (8) causes a contactor (5) to changeover into a standby mode when the power supply load falls below a specific value, in which standby mode a weak direct current is applied to the circuit to be monitored. When a load is switched on, the contactor (5) is caused to respond and connects the domestic supply to the power supply voltage again. <IMAGE>
