Abstract
The control circuit is intended for a coil ignition system in which the primary winding of an ignition coil is connected to a direct current source via a switching transistor and the flow of current across the primary winding is interrupted by the switching transistor which is disabled when the contacts of the contact breaker are opened and high-voltage for an ignition spark is induced in the secondary winding. The control circuit has a control transistor (T2) which is connected to an electric timing circuit (ZK) connected to the movable contact (7) of the contact breaker and is controlled by the electric timing circuit (ZK) to go into the switching state for disabling the switching transistor (T4) when the contacts (7, 8) of the contact breaker open and is controlled so as to go into the switching state to enable the switching transistor (T4) after the switching time of the timing circuit (ZK) has expired. The electric timing circuit (ZK) is excited by the opening of the contacts (7, 8) of the contact breaker and, even at the maximum speed of revolution of the engine, its switching time is shorter than the opening time of the contacts of the contact breaker in order to increase the dwell angle. <IMAGE>
