Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent defective operation due to environmental change by changing over automatically the use of an electronic system ignition control means with excellent performance and mechanical system ignition system means with few fatal failure in respose to the environmental condition and presense of fialure. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical ignition control means 1 consisting of a cam 8 interlocked with a crankshaft and a contact point 9 and an electronic ignition control means 2 consisting of a semitransistor ignitor are provided. When a transistor Q4 in a environmental condition deciding circuit 3 is turned on, current passes through a coil of a relay 10 in a switching circuit 4 to turn on a normally opened contact point P1. When the transistor Q4 is turned off by a given starter signal S2 current to the relay 10 is interrupted to turn on a normally closed contact point P2. Thus, the normally opened contact point P1 is normally turned on to send ignition signals T2 to an ignition device 5 and, in starting, send changed-over ignition signals T1.
