Abstract

A prevulcanised tread (2) is applied to the inner surface of a circular mould (1), a subtread (12) is applied to the inner surface of the tread, a non-vulcanised carcass (4) mounted on a drum (3) is inserted axially and superheated steam is injected into a casing (7) placed inside the carcass in order to apply the carcass against the subtread (12) and, at the same time, to render the whole assembly integral by vulcanisation. <IMAGE>
