Abstract

Tyre with an outer part and an inner part is produced by forming and vulcanising an outer part (1) having several cord layers (2) and a structure of tread (3) and sidewall rubber (4) with heels (5), winding an inner tyre (6) with carcase threads, and vulcanising the structure. The carcase, which forms part of the inner tyre, is less exposed to outside impacts and forces, and thus is less subject to damage. Both the outer tyre and the inner tyre can be more easily repaired, or replaced by a new part. A thickened part is formed at the place where the inner tyre lies against the rim of the wheel.
