worin Rz einen C3-Cs-Alkenyl-, C3-Cs-Chloralkenyl- oder C3-C5-
Alkinylrest,
der 1 -Chlorallyl-, 2-Chlorallyl-, 2-Chlormethylallyl- oder 1
Methyl-2-Chlorallylrest in Betracht.

a) eine Verbindung der Formel II
EMI1.3
M ein Metallion der I. oder II. Hauptgruppe des Periodensystems, insbesondere ein Natrium-, Kalium- oder Lithiumion;
14 g of propargyl alcohol in 10 ml of tetrahydrofuran are added dropwise to this suspension, which is under an N2 inert gas atmosphere, at room temperature with stirring over the course of about 15 minutes, and the mixture is heated to 30-35 ° C. for a further 3 hours while stirring.
The solution of 45.8 g of 1- (4-benzyl) -phenoxy-3-bromopropane [nD20 = 1.5820; produced from 4-benzylphenol and 1,3-dibromopropane, analogously to the instructions of C. S. Marvel et al. (J. Amer. Chem. Soc. 44, 2647 (1922) for 3-bromo-1-phenoxypropane] in 50 ml of dimethylformamide to the reaction mixture and stir for a further 8 hours at room temperature and 4 hours at 60-65 "C. the reaction mixture is carefully mixed with ice water and extracted repeatedly with hexane and ether. The combined organic phases are then washed several times with water and saturated sodium chloride solution, dried over sodium sulfate and freed from the solvents in vacuo.
The oil-like crude product is chromatographed on silica gel for further purification (eluent: diethyl ether-hexane 1: 6), whereby pure 1- (4-benzyl) phenoxy-3-propargyloxypropane (compound no. 1) with a refractive index of nD20: 1 , 5574 is obtained.
