EMI1.2
wonn
a) eine Verbindung der Formel II
EMI1.3
EMI2.1
worin X ein Halogenatom, vorzugsweise ein Chlor- oder Bromatom, bedeutet;
Umsetzung des erhaltenen Reaktionsproduktes der Formel Ix
EMI2.2
Acrididae, Blattidae, Gryllidae, Gryllotalpidae, Tettigoniidae, Cimicidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Reduviidae, Aphididae, Delphacidae, Diaspididae, Pseudococcidae, Chrysomelidae, Coccinellidae, Bruchidae, Scarabaeidae, Dermestidae, Tenebrionidae, Curculionidae, Tineidae, Noctuidae, Lymantriidae, Pyralidae, Galleriidae, Culicidae, Tipulidae, Stomoxydae, Muscidae, Calliphoridae, Trypetidae und Pulicidae.

EMI3.1

M stands for a metal ion of main group I or II of the periodic table, in particular a sodium, potassium or lithium ion,
X is a halogen atom, in particular a chlorine or bromine atom, and R1, R2 and n have the meanings given under formula I.
These procedures can, depending on the reactivity of the
Applied halide of the formulas II, V and VII, are carried out in various solvents and at different reaction temperatures, preferably in the presence of at least one mole of a base.
Particularly suitable solvents are 1,2-dimethoxyethane, tetrahydrofuran, dioxane, dialkyl ethers, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide, sulfolane. However, other solvents can also be used.
Examples of suitable bases are alkali metal hydroxides, carbonates and hydrides and also alkali metal alkoxides.
The reaction temperatures for processes (a) and (b) are between 0 and 100 "C, mostly between 10 and 80" C, and for process (c) between room temperature and 1200 C, mostly between 20 and 100 "C.
In certain cases, the reactions can advantageously be carried out in a protective gas atmosphere, e.g. B. a nitrogen atmosphere.
The starting materials of the formulas III and V to VII are known from the literature, while those of the formulas II and IV are readily available from also known intermediates, e.g. B. by

Compounds of the formula I in which R2 is a methyl radical can exist in various optically active isomers. Therefore, if no optically active starting materials are used in the preparation in such cases, racemic mixtures are obtained. Cis / trans isomer mixtures are also available if R1 is a substituted alkenyl radical, e.g. B. represents a haloallyl radical.
The various isomer mixtures can, for. B. be separated into the isomeric forms with the aid of chromatographic separation methods, e.g. B. by adsorption on a separating material with selective adsorption activity, such as. B.

In certain cases, an isomer mixture can also be separated by fractional distillation or fractional crystallization.
The compounds of the formula I in the context of the present invention can be understood to mean both the individual stereoisomers or cis / trans isomers and also their unseparated mixtures.
The agents containing the active ingredients of the formula I are suitable for combating pests, especially for combating insects in fruit growing, especially on citrus fruits, cotton, in the forest, and against hygiene pests; they are particularly effective against eggs, larvae and pupae of insects and against representatives of the order Acarina. Example 1 A. Preparation of 1- (4-phenoxy) -phenoxy-3-propargyloxy-butane of the formula:
EMI3.1
3.2 g of sodium hydride dispersion in mineral oil (60% NaH) are washed repeatedly with hexane and tetrahydrofuran and then covered with 60 ml of pure tetrahydrofuran and 60 ml of hexamethylphosphoric triamide. The solution of 20.6 g of 1- (4-phenoxy) -phenoxy-butan-3-ol in 20 ml of tetrahydrofuran is then added dropwise to this suspension, which is under an N2 protective gas atmosphere, and the mixture is then heated - always while stirring 5 hours to 40-45 ° C. 14.5 g of propargyl bromide are then added dropwise to the reaction mixture over the course of one hour while cooling with ice (internal temperature approx. 5 ° C.) and the mixture is stirred for a further 15 hours at room temperature.
For work-up, the tetrahydrofuran is largely distilled off in vacuo at a maximum of 35 ° C. The reaction mixture is then poured into 600 ml of ice water and extracted repeatedly with ether. The combined ether phases are washed repeatedly with saturated sodium chloride solution, dried over sodium sulfate and freed from solvent.
For further purification, the oily residue is chromatographed on silica gel (eluent: diethyl ether / hexane 1: 4) whereby 1- (4-phenoxy) -phenoxy-3-propargyloxy-butane (compound no. 1) is obtained; Refractive index of the product: nD20 = 1.5510.
B. Preparation of the starting product: 1- (4-phenoxy) phenoxy-butan-3-ol
The solution of 38 g of 1- (4-phenoxy) phenoxy-2-butene (melting point 43-44) is added to a solution of 63.6 g of mercury (II) acetate in 200 ml of water at room temperature within 30 minutes with stirring C) added dropwise to 140 ml of pure tetrahydrofuran. The resulting yellow emulsion is stirred for a further 7 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture is then cooled to 0 ° C. and 200 ml of 3N sodium hydroxide solution are added dropwise over the course of about 15 minutes and then 200 ml of a 0.5N sodium borohydride solution in 3N sodium hydroxide solution also at 0-5 ° C. over the course of about 40 minutes.
The reaction mixture is then stirred for a further 18 hours at room temperature.
For work-up, the reaction solution is decanted from the quantitatively separated metallic mercury and extracted repeatedly with ether. After repeated washing with saturated sodium chloride solution, the combined ether phases are dried over sodium sulfate and freed from the solvent in vacuo. The largely crystalline solidifying residue is further purified by chromatography on silica gel (eluent: methyl acetate / hexane 2: 3), whereby pure 1- (4-phenoxy) -phenoxy-butan-3-ol with a melting point of 43-45 ° C. is obtained.
