EMI1.2
mit einer Verbindung der Formel III M - Z - R1 (III) umsetzt; b) eine Verbindung der Formel IV
EMI1.3

Furthermore, organic bases such as triethylamine and pyridine can also be used. The reaction temperatures for processes a) and b) are between 0 "and 100" C, mostly between 10 and 80 "C, and for process c) between room temperature and 100" C, mostly between 20 and 100 "C.

Example 1 A) Production of 1- (4-phenoxytphenoxy-3-propargyloxybutane:
3.2 g of sodium hydride dispersion in mineral oil (60% NaH) are washed repeatedly with hexane and tetrahydrofuran and then covered with 60 ml of pure tetrahydrofuran and 60 ml of hexamethylphosphoric triamide. The solution of 20.6 g of 144-phenoxy-phenoxy-butan-3-ol in 20 ml of tetrahydrofuran is then added dropwise to this suspension, which is under an N2 protective gas atmosphere, over the course of one hour and the mixture is then heated to 40-45 for 5 hours, always with stirring C. 14.5 g of propargyl bromide are then added dropwise to the reaction mixture over the course of one hour while cooling with ice (internal temperature approx. 5 ° C.) and the mixture is stirred for a further 15 hours at room temperature.
For working up, the tetrahydrofuran is largely distilled off in vacuo at a maximum of 35 ° C. The reaction mixture is then poured into 600 ml of ice water and extracted repeatedly with ether. The combined ether phases are washed repeatedly with saturated sodium chloride solution, dried over sodium sulfate and freed from the solvent. The oily residue is chromatographed on silica gel for further purification (eluent: diethyl ether / hexane 1: 4>, whereby the 144-phenoxy-phenoxy-3-propargyloxy-butane (compound no. 1) is obtained; refractive index of the product: nD = 1, 5510.
b) Preparation of the starting product: I- (4-phenoxy> phenoxy-butan-3-ol.
To a solution of 63.6 g of mercury (IIpacetat in 200 ml of water at room temperature within 30 minutes with stirring the solution of 38 g of 1- (4-phenoxy> phenoxy-2-butene (melting point 43-44 "C) The resulting yellow emulsion is stirred for a further 7 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture is then cooled to 0 ° C. and 200 ml of 3N sodium hydroxide solution is added dropwise over a period of about 15 minutes and then at 0-5 "C. 200 ml of a 0.5 N sodium borohydride solution in 3 N sodium hydroxide solution are added over the course of about 40 minutes. The reaction mixture is then stirred for a further 18 hours at room temperature.
For work-up, the reaction solution is decanted from the quantitatively separated metallic mercury and extracted repeatedly with ether. After repeated washing with saturated sodium chloride solution, the combined ether phases are dried over sodium sulfate and freed from the solvent in vacuo. The largely crystalline solidifying residue is further purified by chromatography on silica gel (eluent: methyl acetate / hexane 2: 3), whereby pure 144-phenoxy) / phenoxy-butan-3-ol with a melting point of 43-45 "C is obtained.
