Abstract

A nozzle connected to a supply pipe for the pressurised gas discharges into a mixing passage which is divergent along the greater part of its length. A further passage, connected to the surroundings and provided with a regulating valve is connected into the region where the nozzle discharges into the mixing passage. Mixing with air at the nozzle enables bottles of pure helium to be used, reducing prodn. and transport costs compared with bottles contg. air-helium mixts.
