Example 2
A.
Insecticidal food poison effect Cotton plants and potato plants were sprayed with a 0.1% aqueous active substance emulsion (obtained from a 10% emulsifiable concentrate).
After the covering had dried on, the cotton plants were populated with Spodoptera littoralis or Heliothis virescens larvae L3 and the potato plants with Colorado beetle larvae (Leptinotarsa decemlineata). The experiment was carried out at 24 C and 60% relative humidity.
In the above test, compounds according to Example 1 showed a good insecticidal feed poison action against Spodoptera, Heliothis and Leptinotarsa decemlineata larvae.
B. Contact effect against supply and
Household pests
5 parts by weight of an active ingredient and 5 parts by weight of talc are mixed and finely ground. By adding a further 90 parts by weight of talc, a 5% dust powder is obtained, which can be used as a starting mixture for 1: 1 dilutions for graded testing of active substances against pests of stored goods and household pests.
The experimental animals
German cockroach (Phyllodromia germanica),
American cockroach (Periplaneta americana),
Russian cockroach (Blatta orientalis),
Flour beetle imago (Tenebrio molitor) larva.
Bacon beetle Imago (Dermestes frischii) larva,
Fur beetle larva (Attagenus pellio),
House cricket (Acheta domesticus),
Corn beetles (Sitophilus granarius) are placed in glass dishes on filter paper that has been treated with 2 g of the 5% formulation. The amount of active ingredient is 100 mg AS / m2.
1: 1 dilutions give 2.5%, 1.25%, 0.6%, 0.3 and 0.16 0.16% active ingredient formulations which have an active ingredient amount of 50, 25, 12.5, 6.2 and 3.1 mg AS / m2 correspond if 2 g of the respective dust formulation are used per glass bowl.
In the above test, compounds according to Example 1 showed contact activity against Phyllodromia germanica, Periplaneta americana, Blatta orientalis, Tenebrio molitor, Dermestes frischii, Attagenus pellio, Acheta domesticus and Sitophilus granarius.
C. Contact effect against adults Any aegypti
1, 0.1, 0.01 and 0.001 mg of active ingredient / dish were applied to Petri dishes using an acetone solution. Each experiment was carried out twice with 10 mosquitoes per concentration. For the evaluation, both the speed of action and the application rate for 100% mortality were taken into account.
In the above test, compounds according to Example 1 show a favorable effect against adults, every aegypti.
Example 3
Effect against Chilo suppressalis
6 rice plants of the Caloro variety were transplanted into plastic pots with an upper diameter of 17 cm and raised to a height of about 60 cm. The infestation with Chilo suppressahs larvae (L,; 3-4 mm long) took place 2 days after the addition of the active ingredient in granulate form (application rate 8 kg active ingredient per hectare) in the paddy water.
The insecticidal activity is evaluated 10 days after the granules have been added.
Compounds according to Example 1 acted against Chilo suppressalis in the above test.
Example 4
Effect against ticks
A. Rhipicephalus bursa
5 adult ticks or 50 tick larvae were counted in a glass tube and immersed for 1 to 2 minutes in 2 ml of an aqueous emulsion from a dilution series with 100, 10, 1 or 0.1 ppm test substance each. The tube was then closed with a standardized cotton ball and turned upside down so that the active ingredient emulsion could be absorbed by the cotton wool.
The evaluation was carried out after 2 weeks for the adults and after 2 days for the larvae. Two repetitions were run for each attempt.
B. Amblyomma hebraeum
With an analogous dilution series as in test A, tests were carried out with 20 larvae each.
Compounds according to Example 1 were active in these tests against adults and larvae of Rhipicephalus bursa and larvae of Amblyomma hebraeum.
