La présente invention concerne un séchoir à linge mural extensible, comportant un support fixé au mur sur lequel est monté, en partie haute, un ensemble d'étendage du linge et une unité de ventilation ou de chauffage de l'air. Un tel séchoir peut être fixé sur un mur, une cloison, une porte, etc.
Les séchoirs à linge muraux connus à ce jour sont générale ment conçus de façon telle que le ventilateur soufflant soit situé au-dessus du linge ou au même niveau que le dispositif d'étendage supérieur. Il en résulte que l'air chaud est obligé soit de traverser le linge de haut en bas, soit de descendre plus bas que la limite inférieure du linge, avant de remonter. Dans les deux cas, il est nécessaire d'utiliser, pour obtenir un rendement valable, des pressions importantes. Seules les armoires peuvent permettre un cycle normal de l'air mais leur volume et leur encombrement au sol les font généralement utiliser en buanderie ou locaux particuliers, mais rarement à usage domestique, en appartements ou maisons modernes.
La présente invention vise à remédier à ces inconvénients en procurant un séchoir à linge mural, à haut rendement, et à faible encombrement, bien que conçu de façon simple et robuste.
A cet effet, le séchoir à linge mural extensible selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que l'unité de ventilation et de chauffage de l'air est logée à l'intérieur d'un carter mobile par rapport au support, et reliée à ce dernier par l'intermédiaire de moyens permettant de déplacer ladite unité entre deux positions, à savoir une position supérieure dans laquelle elle coiffe l'ensemble d'étendage, lorsque le séchoir n'est pas utilisé, et une position inférieure dans laquelle l'unité est placée contre le mur sous l'ensemble d'étendage, à un niveau suffisamment bas pour que le linge à sécher suspendu à l'ensemble d'étendage déployé soit situé audessus de l'unité de chauffage et de ventilation.
Le séchoir suivant l'invention présente de nombreux avantages. Tout d'abord son encombrement est trés réduit pendant la période de non-utilisation. Par ailleurs, lorsque le séchoir est utilisé, l'unité de ventilation et de chauffage se trouve dans une position rationnelle puisqu'elle est située en totalité sous le linge, si bien que l'air chaud qui en sort peut circuler, selon sa direction naturelle, c'est-à-dire de bas en haut.
Le séchoir est par ailleurs pourvu de préférence d'un dispositif d'étendage mécanique à barres coulissantes facilitant la mise en place du linge et une meilleure répartition de ce dernier.

Le séchoir à linge mural suivant l'invention comporte un support fixé au mur, lequel est constitué de deux montants verticaux I et 2, à section droite en U ou encore en L, ou de toute autre section appropriée. Sur ces montants 1 et 2 sont respectivement articulés, autour d'axes horizontaux 3, deux bras 4 et 5 constitués par un profilé ayant toute section droite appropriée.
Ces bras peuvent servir au passage des conducteurs électriques nécessaires pour l'alimentation des appareils électriques tels que ventilateur, résistance électrique, thermostat, minuterie, dont est muni l'appareil.
A leurs extrémités mobiles, ces bras 4 et 5 sont articulés, autour d'axes 6, à la partie supérieure d'un carter mobile 7 faisant également office de couvercle. Ce carter contient une unité de ventilation et de chauffage assurant le soufflage d'air chaud à travers une bouche 8. Le carter 7 porte des organes de commande 9. Il présente sur ses côtés des poignées 10 permettant son déplacement aisé dans le sens vertical.
Le séchoir est pourvu de moyens permettant de maintenir le carter mobile 7 soit dans une position supérieure de non-utilisation, représentée sur la fig. 3, soit dans une position inférieure ou d'étendage telle que représentée sur la fig. 1. Ces moyens peuvent comprendre, par exemple, des galets 11 à axes horizontaux, portés par les bras 4 et 5 et s'étendant vers l'extérieur. Chacun de ces galets 11 peut venir se loger dans un organe de maintien supérieur 12 ou inférieur 13, solidaire du support, c'est-à-dire des montants I et 2. Chacun de ces organes de maintien peut être réalisé par exemple sous la forme d'un clips élastique dans lequel vient s'engager et se bloquer chaque galet 11. Ces galets peuvent être remplacés par un cran, un ergot, ou tout autre organe en saillie.
Le séchoir mural comporte, à sa partie supérieure, au moins un niveau d'étendage. A chaque niveau est prévu un dispositif d'étendage et dans la forme d'exécution non limitative représentée sur le dessin, le séchoir comporte en fait deux dispositifs, à savoir un dispositif d'étendage supérieur 14 et un dispositif d'étendage inférieur 15.
Le dispositif d'étendage supérieur 14 comporte un cadre pivotant comprenant deux tiges parallèles au mur, à savoir une tige 14a formant axe de pivotement porté par la partie supérieure des montants I et 2, et une tige parallèle mobile 14b, ces deux tiges étant reliées par deux bras pivotants 14c et 14d, perpendiculaires à ces tiges. Entre les tiges 14a et 14b s'étendent plusieurs barres coulissantes 16 auxquelles est suspendu le linge. Le dispositif d'étendage supérieur 14 est maintenu en position horizontale déployée par deux compas 17 et 18 articulés d'une part sur les montants I et 2, et d'autre part sur les bras 14c et 14d.
Le dispositif d'étendage inférieur 15 est réalisé de la même manière que le dispositif supérieur 14 et comporte une tige 15a portée par les parties inférieures des montants 1 et 2, une tige mobile 15b parallèle à la précédente, et deux bras perpendiculaires 15c, 15d, de manière à former un cadre pivotant comportant des barres d'étendage coulissantes 19 s'étendant entre les tiges 14a et 1 5b. Le dispositif d'étendage inférieur 15 est maintenu en position horizontale par deux compas 20 et 21 articulés d'une part sur les montants I et 2, autour des mêmes axes que les compas supérieurs 17 et 18 et d'autre part sur les bras 15c et 15d.
La fig. 3 montre le séchoir mural en position repliée ou fermée. Dans cette position, le carter 7 contenant l'unité de ventilation et de chauffage se trouve en position supérieure, les galets 11 étant immobilisés dans les clips supérieurs 12 comme il est représenté sur la fig. 2A. Les deux dispositifs d'étendage 14, 15 sont repliés en position verticale, contre le mur, les compas respectifs tels que 17 et 21 étant fermés.
Pour mettre le séchoir en position d'étendage, il suffit de tirer vers le bas sur les poignées 10, ce qui a pour effet de faire sortir les galets 11 des clips 12 et de faire pivoter les bras 4, 5 (fig. 2B) vers le bas, pour ramener le carter 7 dans sa position la plus basse représentée sur la fig. 1. Ensuite, il suffit de déployer les dispositifs d'étendage en faisant pivoter vers le bas le dispositif d'étendage inférieur 15, lequel est maintenu dans cette position horizontale par les compas 20, 21 tendus, et de faire pivoter vers le haut le dispositif d'étendage supérieur 14, lequel est aussi maintenu par les compas supérieurs 17, 18 tendus. Le repliement du séchoir s'effectue au moyen des opérations inverses et aussi aisément.
Naturellement, les dispositifs d'étendage 14, 15 peuvent être maintenus en position par des organes de verrouillage différents, tels que des leviers pivotants ou telescopiques. Les barres d'étendage 16, 19 peuvent être terminées à leurs extrémités par des boucles, coussinets, rotules ou tout autre organe permettant leur guidage et leur coulissement soit à l'intérieur, soit à l'extérieur de profilés de différentes formes.
Dans la variante d'exécution représentée partiellement sur les fig. 4A, 4B, 4C et 5, le carter 7 contenant l'unité de chauffage et de ventilation coulisse simplement verticalement, le long du mur.
A cet effet, il est relié au support constitué par les deux montants verticaux, 1 et 2, par deux bielles 22, 23, aux extrémités desquelles sont montés des galets supérieurs 24, 25 et inférieurs 26, 27. Les galets supérieurs 24, 25 coulissent dans des chemins de roulement constitués par les montants 1, 2, tandis que les galets inférieurs 26, 27 coulissent dans des chemins de roulement verticaux 28, 29, portés par le carter mobile 7.

Wall-mounted clothes dryers known to date are generally designed in such a way that the blower fan is located above the laundry or at the same level as the upper drying device. As a result, the hot air is forced either to pass through the laundry from top to bottom, or to descend lower than the lower limit of the laundry, before rising. In both cases, it is necessary to use high pressures to obtain a valid yield. Only the cupboards can allow a normal cycle of the air but their volume and their footprint on the ground generally make them use in laundry or private rooms, but rarely for domestic use, in apartments or modern houses.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by providing a wall-mounted clothes dryer, with high efficiency, and small footprint, although designed in a simple and robust manner.
For this purpose, the extendable wall-mounted clothes dryer according to the invention is characterized in that the ventilation and air heating unit is housed inside a casing movable relative to the support, and connected to the latter by means of means for moving said unit between two positions, namely an upper position in which it covers the spreading assembly, when the dryer is not in use, and a lower position in which the The unit is placed against the wall under the drying rack, at a level low enough so that the laundry to be dried hanging from the deployed rack is located above the heating and ventilation unit.
The dryer according to the invention has many advantages. First of all, its size is very small during the period of non-use. In addition, when the dryer is in use, the ventilation and heating unit is in a rational position since it is located entirely under the laundry, so that the hot air coming out of it can circulate, depending on its direction. natural, that is, from the bottom up.
The dryer is also preferably provided with a mechanical spreading device with sliding bars facilitating the positioning of the laundry and better distribution of the latter.

The wall-mounted clothes dryer according to the invention comprises a support fixed to the wall, which consists of two vertical uprights I and 2, with a straight U-shaped or even L-shaped section, or any other suitable section. On these uprights 1 and 2 are respectively articulated, around horizontal axes 3, two arms 4 and 5 formed by a profile having any suitable cross section.
These arms can be used for the passage of the electrical conductors necessary for the supply of electrical devices such as fan, electric resistance, thermostat, timer, with which the device is fitted.
At their movable ends, these arms 4 and 5 are articulated, around pins 6, to the upper part of a movable casing 7 also acting as a cover. This casing contains a ventilation and heating unit ensuring the blowing of hot air through a mouth 8. The casing 7 carries control elements 9. It has handles 10 on its sides allowing it to be easily moved in the vertical direction.
The dryer is provided with means making it possible to keep the movable casing 7 either in an upper position of non-use, shown in FIG. 3, either in a lower or spread position as shown in FIG. 1. These means may comprise, for example, rollers 11 with horizontal axes, carried by the arms 4 and 5 and extending outwardly. Each of these rollers 11 can be housed in an upper 12 or lower retaining member 13, integral with the support, that is to say of the uprights I and 2. Each of these retaining members can be produced for example under the in the form of an elastic clip in which each roller 11 engages and locks. These rollers can be replaced by a notch, a lug, or any other protruding member.
The wall-mounted dryer has, in its upper part, at least one level of clothesline. At each level is provided a spreading device and in the non-limiting embodiment shown in the drawing, the dryer in fact comprises two devices, namely an upper spreading device 14 and a lower spreading device 15.
The upper spreading device 14 comprises a pivoting frame comprising two rods parallel to the wall, namely a rod 14a forming a pivot axis carried by the upper part of the uprights I and 2, and a movable parallel rod 14b, these two rods being connected by two pivoting arms 14c and 14d, perpendicular to these rods. Between the rods 14a and 14b extend several sliding bars 16 from which the laundry is suspended. The upper spreading device 14 is held in a horizontal deployed position by two callipers 17 and 18 articulated on the one hand on the uprights I and 2, and on the other hand on the arms 14c and 14d.
The lower spreading device 15 is made in the same way as the upper device 14 and comprises a rod 15a carried by the lower parts of the uprights 1 and 2, a movable rod 15b parallel to the previous one, and two perpendicular arms 15c, 15d , so as to form a pivoting frame comprising sliding spreading bars 19 extending between the rods 14a and 15b. The lower spreading device 15 is held in a horizontal position by two calipers 20 and 21 articulated on the one hand on the uprights I and 2, around the same axes as the upper calipers 17 and 18 and on the other hand on the arms 15c and 15d.
Fig. 3 shows the wall dryer in the folded or closed position. In this position, the casing 7 containing the ventilation and heating unit is in the upper position, the rollers 11 being immobilized in the upper clips 12 as shown in FIG. 2A. The two spreading devices 14, 15 are folded in a vertical position, against the wall, the respective compasses such as 17 and 21 being closed.
To put the dryer in the spreading position, just pull down on the handles 10, which has the effect of removing the rollers 11 from the clips 12 and rotating the arms 4, 5 (fig. 2B). down, to return the casing 7 to its lowest position shown in FIG. 1. Then, it suffices to deploy the spreading devices by pivoting downwards the lower spreading device 15, which is held in this horizontal position by the tensioned calipers 20, 21, and to pivot upwards the upper spreading device 14, which is also held by the upper calipers 17, 18 stretched. The folding of the dryer is carried out by means of the reverse operations and also easily.
Of course, the spreading devices 14, 15 can be held in position by different locking members, such as pivoting or telescopic levers. The spreading bars 16, 19 can be terminated at their ends with loops, pads, ball joints or any other member allowing their guidance and sliding either inside or outside of profiles of different shapes.
In the variant embodiment shown partially in FIGS. 4A, 4B, 4C and 5, the housing 7 containing the heating and ventilation unit simply slides vertically along the wall.
For this purpose, it is connected to the support formed by the two vertical uprights, 1 and 2, by two connecting rods 22, 23, at the ends of which are mounted upper 24, 25 and lower rollers 26, 27. The upper rollers 24, 25 slide in raceways formed by the uprights 1, 2, while the lower rollers 26, 27 slide in vertical raceways 28, 29, carried by the movable housing 7.
