La présente, invention concerne un dispo- sitir d'écran portatif et pliant, notamment pour la projection cinématographique, coin- prenant un statif comprenant lui-même au moins deux éléments réglables télescopique- ment en hauteur, l'un de ces éléments, consti tuant l'élément de base, étant destinéà être porté par des pieds susceptibles d'être rame né,;
A la partie supérieure et intérieure25 du pied23 est prévu un embout rigide 44, dans lequel est percé un trou, diamétral destinéà être traversé par un axe 45 constituant unie attache pour la baguette17, cet axe s'éten dant diamétralement par rapport au pied et étant déplaçable axialement dans celui-ci, et munià une extrémité d'une tête 46 età soit autre extrémité d'un crochet 47;

Fig. 5 is a longitudinal sectional view, also on a larger scale, by Fune, of the ends of the case.
Fig. 6 is a. section along line A-A in fig. 3.
Fig. 7 is a partially sectional elevation of a variant of the device of FIGS. 1 to 6.
Referring to Figs. 1. at 6, it is seen that the device which y is illustrated comprises a portable hollow or tubular housing 1, of oblong shape in cross section, the housing being of height greater than than the width. This housing can be made of any suitable material, but it is preferably formed from a metal foil and has, near one of its upper longitudinal edges, a long slot 2, to through which passes a screen 3, the longitudinal sides of this slot 2 being provided, preferably, with stamped edges 4 so as not to present the edges keen on the screen 3.
The box 1 is divided by a longitudinal partition 5 into two local compartments 6 and 7, the upper compartment 6 comprising a spring reel 8 carrying the screen 3, while the lower compartment is suitable to contain a stand intended to support the box 1 when the device is in the position of use, as will be described further; the partition 5 is advantageously formed from a sheet of metal and may be U-shaped in cross section, as shown, the edges of this partition being welded, riveted or fixed in any other way respectively to the front and rear walls 9-10 of the housing 1.
The spring reel 8 is mounted axially in the compartment 6 and its ends are supported in suitable bearings It < / B> (fig. 5) attached to the ends of the upper compartment of the housing.
The ends of the housing 1 are respectively closed by caps 12 and 13 fixed to the ends of said housing; the end cap 12 is divided horizontally into two parts, the lower part being articulated at 15 to the upper part of the lake, we to constitute a movable cover for one of the ends of the lower compartment 7 of the housing, with a bracket or other device 16 for maintaining said cover in its closed position, each times wanted . One end of the screen 3 is attached.
to the reel 8, while the other end is fitted with a tubular metal rod 17 parallel to </ B > the winder and clean to close the slot 2 said frame when the screen is rolled up, as clearly shown in fig. 1.
A halfway between its ends, the upper part of the case is fitted with a handle 18, while on the rear wall 10 </ B > of the case, at halfway between its ends and at somewhere; at a distance below the upper face of the housing, is fixed a hooking device 19 which comprises -a metal part with two flanges intended to form -a tab in which comes to fit a tongue 21 formed by the upper part of a cleat 22 integral with the foot described- described below.
The foot intended to support the screen includes a telescopic column generally designated by the, reference 2 "), and constituted by at least two telescopic tubular elements, namely, to the base, an outer element 24, and, to the upper part, an inner element 25, axially adjustable with respect to to the other and capable of being fixed one to the a-Liter in an adjustable position to using an appropriate key mechanism locking,
for example to using a screw 26 carried by a collar 27 to the upper part of the outer element 24 and clean < B> to engage the top element and, inside 25.
A bar 28, formed in the element (the external base 24, limits the telescopic movement of the part, internal of the niontant, while a wire 29, fixed < B> at its lower part on the bar 28 and extending axially along the foot by being provided with a hook on the upper 30, limits the movement around the inner 25 element of the foot; the 29 thread passes through through a bar ôl fixed on the inner element, in such so that the hook M comes into contact with this bar ôl when the internal element is extracted at the niaxiii-iuni.
A its lower end, element 24, of the column is provided with a cross 3'21 with three radial branches M, on which radial arms are articulated 34 capable of folding back against the periphery of the upright 23 and having their lower ends articulated at 35 on a retractable foot 36, whose part upper is articulated on the elements elements 37 of another cross member i) 8 movable axially on the external element 24 of the stand,
this last spider is provided with niovens such as a Ô9 screw to fix it in any desired position.
It is thus understood that the 36 foot can be retracted with the arms 34 against the wall of the upright, by sliding the spider upwards, or, on the contrary, can be brought into the operating position, as well as my tré on fig. 2 and 3, by lowering said spider until it comes into contact with a stop 40 fixed on the lower and outer part 24 of the column, said spider being fixed in its position by a screw 39.
On the lower element '214 of the column 23 is mounted - It ormne displa #, able axially and constituted, for example, by a sleeve 41, which can be fixed in any position ù using a locking device such as a screw 42.
Ce sleeve 41 supports the aforementioned tab 42, the tongue of which is intended ù to be inserted into the tab 20 of the housing 1 . The tab 212 is also provided with a tab 43 extending downwardly, similarly to that provided for the tab 221.
The guards 21 and 43 are therefore slightly spaced from the outer surface of the sleeve 41 and substantially parallel to the axis of the latter. The lower tongue 43 forms a support against which the lower portion of the rear wall 10 of the housing 1 can rest when the tongue 21 is engaged in the support 20, said tongue 43 thus makes it possible to keep the rear wall 10 of the housing substantially parallel to I axis of the column 23.
A the upper and inner part 25 of the 23 foot is provided with a rigid end piece 44, in which a hole is drilled, diametrical intended to be traversed by an axis 45 constituting a united attachment for the rod 17, this axis extending diametrically with respect to the foot and being axially displaceable therein, and provided at one end of a head 46 and at either end of a hook 47;
the head 46 prevents the axis 45 from being extracted from the support, while the hook 47 is suitable to engage in a hole 48, made in the wall of the bar 17, (the dewlap to realize between said ba guette and reads part 25 of the stand 23 a connection of the a eardaii type.
Normally, the stand (screen) is folded up, its upper part 25 being telescoped as far as possible into part 24 and the radial arms 34, as well as the legs 36 </ B> being folded over the upright 9-3 and parallel to to this one, which makes it possible to keep the entire stand in the compartment 7 < / B> of the box 1 thus being parallel to the screen 3 kept rolled up, but out of contact with it.
When it is desired to use the screen, the cover 14 called the box 1 is opened and the stand is removed from the compartment 7 to put it in position. A < / B> this end, the screw 39 of the spider 38 is unscrewed so that the latter can be slid downwards called upright 293 </ B> until it meets the stop 40 shown in fig. 3. The screw '39 is then tightened, so that the feet, 36 are secured in their deployed position to keep the post 23 in a vertical position. The case 1 is then attached to the column 223 by engaging the tab 20 on the tongue 21 carried by the sleeve 41.
The curved end 47 of Axle 45, in the upper element 25 of the column, is then hooked in the hole 48 of the rod 1.7, then the screw 26 is loosened, so that element 25 can be raised to the required height. When this is achieved, tighten the screw 26, then loosen the screw 42, from mother to, allow the sleeve 41- to be adjusted on the element 24, if desired.
By appropriately adjusting the upper part 25 and / or the sleeve 41, the screen 3 can be unwound to the desired length and am, en6 to the desired height for the projection, depending on the conditions under which the screen is to be used.
If desired, the adjustment of the screen in relation to the vertical can be made, as shown in dotted line in fig. 3, by sliding the axis: 45 axially in relation to to the 25 element of the column.
As indicated above, the screen 3 small being of a reversible type having, for example: a) a matt white face and the other with a vitreous gaLifrage, or b) one side matt white and the other side silver, or alternatively c) one side embossed and the other side silver.
With such arrangements, it is possible to ensure that the screen is mounted on the frame, with one or the a-Liter face directed towards the projector and, to this effect, as shown on the fi--. 7, the box 1. small be provided with a second #I support 20a intended to cooperate with the watch lan 21 of its support 22, this second support being mounted on the opposite longitudinal face of the housing 1 with respect to to the support 20.
Thus, the housing 1 can, as shown in fig. 7, be mounted in a position opposite to to that indicated in fig. 1 to 3, so that the opposite side of the screen, to that used in figs. 1 to 3.
The adjustable axis 45 could, with such an arrangement, be pulled out more or less to keep the screen 3 in a plane. vertical and, if desired, when using a reversible screen, this axis 45 can be made longer than when using a single-sided screen, so to give a pl-Lis large range of adjustment. Also, in this case, the rod 17 should have a central hole 48 on each side.
