The main patent relates to a thread brake for textile machines, especially embroidery machines.
According to the patent claim of the main patent, this thread brake is characterized according to the invention by at least one mounted movably under the action of a magnetic field. for controllable contact with a thread clip that can be pulled off a supply spool.
As stated in the main patent, these measures now allow an effective generation of a constant thread tension regardless of the nature of the material. the thread speed, etc., since only the thread bow under the effect of the magnetic field has to be adjusted more or less to the thread. It was also mentioned that these measures allow a much easier introduction of the thread into the area of the thread bow, since here the thread can only be deflected slightly out of its normal travel distance compared to the previously known type, where the thread has to be wound several times in a brake body. Furthermore, the contact area of the thread on the braking surface can now be reduced several times. which means a substantial reduction in the thread resistance, which means that the risk of thread breaks is significantly reduced.
The present invention now relates to a further embodiment of such a thread brake, which is characterized in that instead of the thread brake element forming the thread bow a disc made of magnetizable material is provided, which forms the movable armature of an electromagnet, the disc being loose and at least approximately parallel movable on one of the
Magnetic core supported, made of non-magnetizable material sits pegs.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which schematically shows the thread brake in section.
In this embodiment shown, the thread brake comprises an electromagnet 3, which can be of any type and whose central web 4 forms the core. For an effective function of the thread brake, which will be described in more detail below, the electromagnet is preferably provided with a demagnetization winding for rapid reduction of the magnetic field.
On the end face of the core 4, a pin 17 is set, which consists of a non-magnetizable material, such as ceramic. On this firmly with that
The pin 17 connected to the core sits loosely on a disk 6 ′, which consists of magnetizable material and which can be displaced in parallel in the direction of arrow 19 under the effect of the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet 3 ′.
This disc 6 'now forms the thread brake element instead of the thread bow according to the main patent, which is designed as a hinged anchor in one embodiment.
Here, the disk 6 ′ can interact with a counter surface 18, for example that of a ceramic disk, which is supported on the core 4.
As can now be readily seen, this arrangement allows the hinged armature embodiment to have a significantly lighter construction, since the disk 6 'to be moved by the magnetic field represents a very small mass. The thread F is particularly easy to insert. In addition, two threads can easily be inserted on both sides of the pin 17. Furthermore, the arrangement is self-cleaning, since the thread running through the disk 6 'can twist and so impurities are thrown out. For this purpose, the disk forming the opposing surface 18 can also be rotatably mounted on the pin 17. Of course, the edge zones of the discs are also provided with inclined surfaces here to allow the thread to pass through gently. Against the thread, however, the braking surfaces can also be convexly curved here.
Furthermore, a number of electromagnets arranged next to one another can be combined to form a structural unit and can be pivoted about a shaft 15 ′ in the direction of arrow 16.
