Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht und
Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt.

The subject of the invention is a small storage tank for liquid fuels, especially for motor gasoline, characterized by a sheet metal box, the front of which consists at least for the most part of pivoting doors, a removable safety trough inserted in the box, the floor plan area of which is almost as large as that of the sheet metal box, and at least a fuel container placed in the upright position in the safety trough, closed on all sides, the top wall of which has a filling and removal opening closed with a detachably attached, tightly closing closure member in the operative position and is provided with an attached pressure compensation device.
Such a small storage device is suitable for private individuals and small businesses who want to store an emergency supply of fuel, in particular motor gasoline, specifically for installation outdoors, whereby the environmental protection and fire protection regulations are satisfied.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view and
Fig. 2 is a cross section.
The illustrated small storage for liquid fuels, especially for motor gasoline, has a rectangular sheet metal box 1, the front side of which is formed over the entire width and from the top to the bottom by two pivoting doors 2; these can be locked in their closed position in a manner not shown. A removable safety trough 3 is inserted in the box 1, the plan area of which is almost as large as that of the sheet metal box 1. In this safety trough 3, three (at least one) upright-format, approximately square-shaped fuel containers 4, closed on all sides, are placed.
The top wall of each of these containers 4, which is expediently detachable in a manner not shown to enable the interior of the container to be cleaned, has a wide filling and removal opening provided with a detachably attached (e.g. screwed) closure member 5, which is tightly sealed in the operative position, and is also provided with an attached one Pressure compensation device 6 provided. This has a membrane 7 on the edge of which is clamped between the edges of two cup-shaped members 8, 9, of which the lower 9 is connected to the interior of the fuel tank by a connector 10 and the upper 8 has a central ventilation opening 11 through which a Pressure indicator rod 12 attached to the membrane protrudes.
The device 6 is intended to compensate for pressure fluctuations which could otherwise arise inside the container in the event of outside temperature fluctuations; a rough pressure equalization is sufficient; the rod 12 protrudes more or less from the opening 11 and can thus be used for an approximate indication of the internal pressure and can be provided with markings.
For safety purposes, the sump 3 can hold a considerable amount of fuel which could possibly leak out of leaking (or leaking) containers 4. By periodically inspecting the tub, leaks can be detected early on.
The pressure equalization devices serve as a safeguard against an excessive rise in the pressure of fuel vapors at high outside temperatures or strong sunlight.
The tin box also acts as a Faraday cage to protect the storage facility during thunderstorms.
Each of the containers 4 has a content of a few hundred liters, for example. The filling and removal of fuel or engine fuel can for example be carried out by means of a hand pump which has a long suction pipe that can be inserted into the container through the filling and removal opening after removing the relevant closure member 5.
