Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer s-Triazin-2,4-dion-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I

Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I werden erfindungsgemäss durch Umsetzung einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel II RlR2N-CH=N-CH3 II worin R und R2 die oben bezeichneten Bedeutungen besitzen, mit zwei Äquivalenten Methylisocyanat der Formel III

Die Herstellung der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I kann wie folgt durchgeführt werden:
Die N,N-disubstituierten N -Methylformamidine der allgemeinen Formel II werden vorzugsweise in einem geeigneten wasserfreien Lösungsmittel, wie beispielsweise Acetonitril, und unter Rühren und Kühlung auf OoC und unter Feuchtigkeits ausschluss mit zwei Äquivalenten Methylisocyanat der Formel III, gegebenenfalls in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel, wie beispielsweise abs. Acetonitril, versetzt und nach anschliessendem etwa 70-stündigem Rühren bei Raumtemperatur unter Kühlung auf OoC mit der Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel V vorzugsweise in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel, wie z. B.
abs. Acetonitril. versetzt und zur Vervollständigung der Reaktion über einen gewissen Zeitraum, beispielsweise 3 Tage bei Raumtemperatur stehengelassen. Nach Aufarbeiten des Reaktionsansatzes in der üblichen Weise erhält man die
Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I als kristalline Sub stanzen.
Die angegebenen Formeln der erfindungsgemässen Verbin dungen der allgemeinen Formel I werden u. a. durch Abbau versuche, NMR-, IR- und Massenspektren sowie Molgewichts bestimmung gestützt.
Die als Ausgangsstoffe für die Synthese der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I benötigten Verbindungen der For meln man II, III, IV und V sind nach Literaturverfahren zugänglich.
Die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I zeigen eine hervorragende Wirkung gegen unerwünschten Pflanzenwuchs, besonders gegen dicotyle
Unkräuter, wie z. B. Amaranthus retroflexus, Capsella bursa pastoris, Chenopodium album, Stellaria media, Senecio vulga ris usw., sowie gegen unerwünschte Gräser, wie beispielsweise
Echinochloa crus galli u. a.
Neben der ausgezeichneten Wirkung gegen Unkräuter zeigen die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I eine her vorragende Selektivität bei der Anwendung in verschiedenen
Kulturpflanzen.
Die Bekämpfung der Unkräuter wird nach üblichen Verfah ren vorgenommen, z. B. durch Behandlung der Unkräuter mit den Wirkstoffen.
Die Herstellung der herbiziden Mittel, die die erfindungsge mäss hergestellten Wirkstoffe der allgemeinen Formel I ent halten, erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise durch inniges Ver mischen und Vermahlen der Verbindungen der allgemeinen
Formel I mit geeigneten Trägerstoffen.
Die Verbindungen können in Mischung mit den bei Herbizi den üblichen Trägerstoffen zur Anwendung gelangen. Die so erhaltenen herbiziden Mittel können mit den üblichen Appli kationsgeräten nach bekannten Methoden dem Boden zuge setzt oder auf die Unkräuter aufgetragen werden. Die Anwen dung kann entweder auf die bereits von Unkräutern befallenen
Stellen oder vor dem Auflaufen der Unkräuter erfolgen.
Die Herstellung der Formulierungen erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise durch inniges Vermischen und Vermahlen der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I mit geeigneten
Trägerstoffen.
Zur Herstellung von festen Anwendungsformen, wie Stäu bemitteln, Streumitteln, Granulaten usw., werden die Wirk stoffe mit festen Trägerstoffen vermischt. Als Trägerstoffe können z. B. Kaolin, Talkum, Kreide, Kalkstein, Cellulosepul ver usw. verwendet werden.
Diesen Gemischen können ferner Stoffe, die die Haftfestigkeit auf Pflanzen und Pflanzenteilen verbessern und/oder eine bessere Benetzbarkeit sowie Dispergierbarkeit gewährleisten, zugesetzt werden.
Die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Herbizide können auch in Mischung mit geeigneten bekannten Herbiziden, z. B. der
Klasse der Harnstoffe, Halogenbenzonitrile, Carbamate, Tria zine, angewendet werden.
Die Wirkstofformulierungen enthalten beispielsweise zwi schen 2 und 80 Gewichtsprozent Wirkstoff, vorzugsweise zwischen 2 und 50%. Die Anwendungsformen enthalten bei spielsweise zwischen 0,01 und 10 Gewichtsprozent Wirkstoff.
Die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Herbizide können in
Dosierungen von 1 bis 10 kg/ha, je nach der verwendeten
Substanz und dem gewünschten herbiziden Effekt, angewendet werden.
Die nachfolgenden Beispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der Formulierung der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I, ohne die Erfindung einzuschränken:
Beispiel a
25 Teile der Verbindung 6-(4-Chlorphenyl)-N' N2- dimethyl-ureido]-1,3,5-trimethyl-s-triazin-2,4-dion, 5 Teile eines Kondensationsprodukts aus Formaldehyd und Naphthalinsulfonat, 2 Teile Alkylbenzolsulfonat, 5 Teile Dextrin, 1 Teil Ammoniumkaseinat und 62 Teile Diatomeenerde werden zu einer homogenen Mischung vermischt und danach vermahlen, bis eine durchschnittliche Teilchengrösse von wesentlich unter 45 Mikron erreicht ist. Das erhaltene Pulver kann zur Anwendung gegen Unkräuter verwendet werden.
Beispiel b
25 Teile der Verbindung 6-[N-(3 -Trifluormethylphenyl) - N',N'-dimethyl-ureido] - 1,3 ,5-trimethyl-s-triazin-2,4- dion, 5 Teile eines Kondensationsprodukts aus Formaldehyd und Naphthalinsulfonat, 2 Teile Alkylbenzolsulfonat, 5 Teile Dextrin, 1 Teil Ammoniumkaseinat und 62 Teile Diatomeen erde werden zu einer homogenen Mischung vermischt und danach vermahlen, bis eine durchschnittliche Teilchengrösse von wesentlich unter 45 Mikron erreicht ist.
Zur Veranschaulichung der hervorragenden Wirksamkeit wird in der nachfolgenden Tabelle die Wirkung der herbiziden
Mittel, die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I als Wirk stoffe enthalten, angegeben; die Erfindung soll dadurch aber ir keiner Weise eingeschränkt werden. Die in der Tabelle durch die Ziffern 1 bis 9 angegebenen Bewertungen bedeuten: 1 = keine Abtötung, 9 = totale Abtötung, während die dazwi schenliegenden Ziffern eine entsprechende Wirkung in lineare
Abhängigkeit bedeuten. Die Tabelle zeigt die Wirkung bei einer Aufwandmenge von 4 kg Wirkstoff pro Hektar bei Nach auflaufbehandlung. Die Auswertung wurde 14 Tage nach der
Applikation vorgenommen.

Auch bei der Vorauflaufbehandlung zeigen die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen eine sehr gute herbizide Wirkung.
Die Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I können auch als Pflanzenwachstumsregulatoren verwendet werden.
Die nachfolgenden Beispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der Herstellung der Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I, sollen die Erfindung aber in keiner Weise einschränken.
Beispiel 1 6-[N-Phenyl)-N',N'-dimethyl-ureido]-1,3,5- trimethyl-s-triazin-2,4-dion
Zu einer Lösung von 12,9 g (0,15 Mol) N,N,N'-Trimethyl- formamidin in 50 ml absol. Acetonitril werden bei 00 unter Rühren und unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluss 16,8 g (0,3 Mol) Methylisocyanat in 50 ml absol. Acetonitril getropft und die Reaktionslösung nach beendeter Zugabe noch 20 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Dann gibt man bei 00 17,85 g (0,15 Mol)-Phenylisocyanat unter Rühren in 50 ml absol. Acetonitril zu und rührt noch 3 Tage bei Raumtemperatur. Anschliessend wird eingedampft, abfiltriert und das kristalline Rohprodukt mit Äther gewaschen. Smp. 150-152 .
