Fig. 1 einen Diametralschnitt des ersten Ausführungsbeispiels und

The invention relates to a hand-held device for squeezing
Citrus fruits in which a juice collecting bowl or an insert bowl with juice passage openings in its base has a central, dome-shaped elevation that is ribbed on the circumference.
The invention is based on the object of such
Further develop the device in such a way that it is easier to squeeze and twist a citrus fruit half at the same time and to increase the juice yield. It is known that it is difficult, especially in the last phase of pressing, to press the soft fruit against the dome-shaped elevation on all sides; the training according to the invention should then be particularly useful.
To achieve this object it is provided according to the invention that the hand-held device has a pressing and rotating member which has a cap-shaped coupling part intended to be slipped onto the elevation, and that centrally arranged on the pressing and rotating member as well as on the elevation when the coupling part is slipped on together Means that come into operative connection and consist of a pin-shaped part and a tubular part are provided for the rotatable and displaceable guidance of the pressing and rotating member on the elevation.
In a preferred embodiment it is also provided that the coupling part is subdivided into elastically flexible pressure lamellae by slots extending from its edge and running along surface lines.
The accompanying drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a diametrical section of the first embodiment and
Fig. 2 is partly an elevation and partly a diametrical section of the second embodiment.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a juice collecting tray, in which a juice collecting channel is located between the jacket wall la and a central, dome-like elevation lb, the wall of which is provided on the outside with ribs running along surface lines; the jacket wall la has a juice outlet spout lc on one side, in the passage of which core and pulp retaining projections id are arranged; on the side diametrically opposite the juice outlet spout, the jacket wall is provided with a grip tab le on its upper edge.
With an insert tray 2 is referred to, which can be placed on the upper edge of the jacket wall la of the juice collecting tray 1. The bottom of this insert bowl has juice passage slots 2a. A central elevation 2b, like the elevation Ib, has ribs on its outside that run along surface lines. A guide pin 2c cast thereon protrudes upwards from the center of the elevation 2b, the upper end 2d of which is pointed.
The device has a rotatable pressing and rotating member 3 placed on the bearing pin 2c, with a handle part 3a knurled on the circumference, a cap-shaped coupling part 3b and a tubular intermediate part 3c; the coupling part 3b is subdivided into elastically flexible pressure lamellae 3e by slots 3d extending from its edge and running along surface lines.
When using the device, a citrus fruit half to be squeezed is impaled onto the guide pin 2c with the pressing and rotating member initially removed. The juice is squeezed out with the aid of the pressing and rotating member 3, which is to be rotated back and forth, the lamellae 3c of which nestle against the outer skin of the citrus fruit.
The latter thereby retains its circular shape in cross section and is pressed fairly evenly on all sides against the elevation 2b. The edge bead 3f favors the sliding down of the lamellae 3c on the citrus fruit half and the fine ribs 3g running along surface lines on the inside of the lamellae ensure a good transfer of the rotational movements of the link 3 to the citrus fruit half. In this way, the juice can be squeezed out to a large extent almost effortlessly.
The guide pin 2c and the tubular
In this exemplary embodiment, intermediate part 3c form centrally arranged means, which come into operative connection with one another when the coupling part 3b is pushed on, for the rotatable and displaceable guidance of the pressing and rotating member 3 on the elevation 2b; by these means, the actuation of the pressing and rotating member when squeezing juice is made considerably easier.
Under certain circumstances, the juice collecting tray 1 can be used without insert tray 2 and without pressing and rotating member 3 in order to use z. B. Squeeze halves of lemons.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 has a juice collecting tray 4, the dome-shaped, circumferentially ribbed elevation 4a of which has a central tubular and downwardly protruding extension 4b; it also has a pressing and rotating member 5 which has a coupling part 5b which is divided into lamellae as in the previously described embodiment; The upper end part of a guide pin 5c is fixed in a central ring attachment 5a. This latter and the tubular extension 4b form in this embodiment the centrally arranged means which come into operative connection when the Überwuifteiles 5b is put on for the rotatable and displaceable guidance of the pressing and rotating member 5 on the elevation 4a.
In an inherently obvious manner, the elevation 4a could be provided with a guide pin according to FIG. 1 and the pressing and rotating member shown there could be used.
