The present invention relates to a false truck bridge.
If a truck's wooden bridge is used to transport sharp-edged stones, crushed rocks, it wears out extremely quickly and it is expensive to replace.
The object of the invention is to protect the bridge of a truck and to provide a false bridge in at least three parts capable of being assembled quickly by a single man when the transport conditions so require. The false bridge object of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a front part provided with a rim, at least one intermediate part and a rear part, said parts being assembled together so as to form a rigid assembly and in that the rear part has an inclined edge and carries tabs intended to rest on the pins of the hinges provided on the rear of the truck deck.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the false bridge which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a bottom view of the three parts which constitute the false bridge.
Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1 of the assembled false bridge.
The dummy truck bridge shown is made of aluminum sheet, for example 5 mm thick, and comprises a front part 1, a middle part 2 and a rear part 3. These three parts have a width corresponding to that of the bridge. of the truck. The front part 1 has, at its end facing the driver's cabin, a rim 4 provided. on the side of said cabin, two fixing eyelets 5. The other end carries, welded on the face facing the truck deck, gussets 6 made from a hollow square section. The middle part 2 has, on its sides facing parts 1 and 3, also a series of gussets 6.
Finally, the rear part 3 is provided, on its side facing the middle part 2, with a series of gussets 6 and ends with an inclined rim 7 intended to retain the transported materials, but allowing their unloading when the truck deck is tumbled backwards. All the gussets 6 are offset with respect to each other in such a way that once the three parts 1, 2, 3 are assembled, they form tunnels 8 in which are housed solid square pegs 9 provided by keys (not shown ).
The inclined rim 7 may be reinforced on its sides by struts 10 formed either by sheets or by cables. Finally, the lower part of part 3 is provided with two tabs 11 intended to rest on the pins of the hinges of the folding rear wall of the truck. The parts 1, 2 and 3 are provided, on their face facing the truck deck, with reinforcing bars 12 made, preferably, from solid square bars.
The false bridge described can include more than one part 2, depending on the length of the truck bridge. The dimensions of parts 1, 2 and 3 are chosen so that the false bridge can be easily assembled by one man. After having posed the part 1 and having fixed it by means of the eyelets 5, the parts 2 and 3 are assembled together by means of the pins 9 and ensured by the keys.
