Machine for processing floors
The present invention relates to a machine for processing floors, in particular for smoothing and compacting plastic flooring material such as concrete or plastic, which machine has a turntable as a working tool with a releasably coupled drive unit and a steering arm pivoted to the housing of the latter.
In known machines of this type, the drive shaft of the drive unit is coupled to the turntable via a coupling hub mounted on the latter, in which a coupling part engages on an end disk of the drive shaft. These machines are thus composed of two separable units, namely the turntable with coupling hub and the drive unit with steering bracket and coupling part. The lower, rotating unit is inevitably light in weight relative to the upper unit; H. the rotating mass is relatively small, while the center of gravity of the machine is relatively high. Especially if the units mentioned represent a structure that is rigid with respect to the drive shaft in the coupled state, even small inclinations or inclinations caused by uneven ground are possible.
Vibrations of the turntable are inevitably transmitted to the drive unit or the steering bracket and vice versa, which on the one hand makes it difficult to steer the machine smoothly and on the other hand can easily lead to milling of the floor surface to be processed, or at least to undesirable grinding marks on this surface.
This considerable disadvantage is avoided in the machine according to the invention in that a plate-shaped flywheel, designed as an intermediate coupling, is arranged between the coupling device of the upper drive unit and the lower turntable unit.
Depending on the type of work to be carried out and the size and type of the turntable serving as the work tool, a more or less heavy swing plate is used. In any case, the weight of this swing plate not only causes a lower center of gravity of the machine, but also a more stable gliding of the turntable over the ground, which facilitates the steering and handling of the machine and reduces the tendency to milling or milling.
to produce undesirable floor markings. When the drive unit is uncoupled from the work plate, the flywheel serving as an intermediate coupling remains on the turntable so that it is not difficult to remove the drive unit. The drive unit is expediently coupled to the flywheel so that it can be lifted off axially.
The advantageous effect of the swing plate can be further improved in that elastic supports are assigned to it on both sides, via which a coupling plate of the drive unit is supported on the swing plate on the one hand and the latter on the turntable on the other.
This can be perfectly avoided that inevitable small inclinations or vertical movements of the turntable or small tilting movements of the steering bracket are rigidly transmitted from the turntable to the steering bracket or vice versa.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 is a view of the machine, partly in vertical section, and
FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the lower unit with the flywheel of the machine according to FIG. 1.
In the drawing is the drive unit, the motor housing la is coaxially stuck on the gear housing lb. On the latter, the two arms of a steering bracket 2 are pivotably articulated at relatively large radial distances from the motor axis. A boom 2a of this steering bracket 2 enables the steering bracket 2 to be releasably fixed in different inclined positions on the gear housing lb so that it can be brought into the most suitable position for the respective operator.
By pivoting the bracket 2 released from the gear housing lb in the direction of arrow a up to the stop of the boom 2a on the motor housing la (shown in Fig. 1 with dashed lines), the bracket 2 is brought into a position in which a cross strut 2b directly over an am Motor housing la anchored handle 3 comes to rest, and so together with this handle can be grasped with one hand. At the lower end of a drive sleeve 4 fastened to the transmission shaft and protruding downward from the transmission housing 1b, a clutch plate 5 is fastened coaxially, which is provided with a central bore 5a. On the coupling plate 5, three downwardly projecting coupling pins 5b are attached in the corner points of an equilateral triangle with a center in the coupling plate center.
These pins 5b fit with radial play in corresponding holes 6a of a swing plate 6 which, by means of a central guide pin 6b, protrudes through the central bore 5a of the coupling plate 5 up into the drive sleeve 4. The relatively heavy swing plate 6 is provided on the circumference with two handles 7 which facilitate its handling. Between the clutch plate 5 and the flywheel 6 is an elastically flexible intermediate layer 8a, for. B. made of foam rubber or similar soft elastic material. Via an analog intermediate layer 8b, the swing plate 6 is supported coaxially on an underlying turntable 9, which serves as a working tool and z. B. is designed as a smoothing disk.
On the upper side of this turntable 9, connecting pins or sleeves 9a are attached in the corners of an equilateral triangle centered in the turntable center, which protrude upward through corresponding holes 6c of the rotating plate 6. The ends of the pins or sleeves 9a, which can be removed from the ends of the pins or sleeves 9a, connect the flywheel 6, intermediate layer 8b and turntable 9 to form a unit with which the parts 1, 2, 5 and 8a engage through the holes 6a in the flywheel holes Pin 5b rotatably. but axially separable, is coupled.
The mass of the rotating working unit, which is considerably increased by the swing plate 6, causes the rotating plate 9, which moves cycloid-like over the floor, to smooth out any unevenness and remains lying horizontally on the floor without jumping or vibrating. Thanks to the rotation of the relatively heavy work unit, the machine moves over the area to be processed even with a relatively small amount of pressure on the side from the operator. The elastically flexible intermediate layers Sa, sb. that such a side pressure on the steering arm 2 can lead to the turntable 9 tilting.
It has been shown that, under certain circumstances, the turntable runs even more evenly. when this is arranged eccentrically to the drive axis together with the flywheel 6. For this purpose, the swing plate 6 can have a slightly eccentric pin 16b instead of the central pin 6b, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. In practice, the eccentricity of this pin will be approximately between 1 and a maximum of 2 cm. As can also be seen in FIG. 2 at 16a, in this case the holes 6a must also be aligned with the new pin axis 16b. With this eccentric arrangement of the working unit, there is a kind of epicyclic movement of the turntable 9, which reduces the tendency for grinding marks.
In order to be able to easily supply the unused machine or to be able to replace the turntable 9 and / or the rotating plate 6, the drive unit can easily be separated from the working unit by lifting it vertically.
When the drive unit is put back on, it is put on the working unit in such a way that the pin 6b engages in the bore 5a of the coupling plate 5. The motor is then briefly put into operation so that the pins 5b rotating on a circle with the center in the axis of the pin 6b inevitably reach the holes 6a in the flywheel 6 and simultaneously sink into these holes under the weight of the drive unit, whereby the drive unit and work unit are coupled to one another. The machine is now ready for use. In order to facilitate this coupling of the pin 5b into the holes 6a, the diameter of the latter is slightly larger than the pin diameter.
