Description
5<>The invention relates to a scrubbing machine with a mounted in a housing to a vertical Shaft rotating, disc-shaped scrubbing tool with a flange-mounted drive motor, with a Handle attached to the housing, with a storage tank for the cleaning fluid, with lines and Outlet nozzles for the liquid in the area of the scrubbing tool and with one the scrubbing tool partially surrounding annular suction line, which on its underside mil: suction openings provided and with is movably connected to the housing. 5 <>
Each of these segments is articulated to the machine housing, the pivot axes of the joints being arranged in a plane at right angles to one another. Apart from the complex construction, the known scrubbing machine has the disadvantage that the suction ring segments no longer lie completely flat on the surface to be cleaned when the machine is tilted. Because the joints only allow the suction ring segments to pivot about one axis. If the scrubbing machine is tilted about an axis that is perpendicular to this axis, the suction ring segments only rest on one side of the surface to be cleaned with increased pressure and lift with it
ihrer gegenüberliegenden Seite ab.their opposite side.
Demgegenüber liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Scheuermaschine der eingangs beschriebenen Art mit einer einfach ausgebildeten Absaugeinrichtung zu schaffen, die auch bei einem Kippen oder Verkanten der Maschine immer vollständig plan auf der zu scheuernden Oberfläche aufliegtIn contrast, the invention is based on the object of providing a scrubbing machine of the type described at the outset Kind to create with a simply trained suction device, which also with a tilting or Tilting of the machine is always completely flat on the surface to be scrubbed
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the suction line is rigid in the form of a single one Formed pipe section and on two diametrically opposite with respect to the vertical shaft Joints about an approximately horizontally directed axis is pivotally connected to the housing and that the Joints on the suction line each in a vertical position Direction are shiftable.
In the machine according to the invention it is ensured in an advantageous manner that even in the event of tilting and tilting the machine the suction ring flat on the surface to be cleaned and its absorbent function is not impaired in any way.
An advantageous development of the scrubbing machine according to the invention is that the joints from pins connected to the housing, which have a spherical thickening at their free ends, and with one elongated hole each, which forms a guide for the pin, provided, perpendicular to the suction line fastened pipe pieces exist, wherein the spherical thickening in the pipe piece on a Supports compression spring.
The suction openings can consist of one or more elongated slots.

Storage tank 30 attached for the cleaning liquid. The stem 32 is at its lower end by a horizontal transverse axis pivotably connected to the housing 12 of the machine 10. Pivoting the Stiels enables the machine to be operated by s different sized operators. A downpipe 34 is connected to the tank 30, which with a remotely controllable valve 36 and a flow control valve 38 adjacent to it is provided at its outlet end the outlet line 34 passes through a ceiling 40 of the housing 12. This downpipe is used to deliver Cleaning liquid from the tank 30 onto the upper surface of the brush head 20 of the disc brush 18, so that the cleaning liquid passes down through the openings 26 on the carpet 42 on which the Scrubbing machine 10 is seated, the bristles 22 of the disc brush 18, the cleaning liquid to one Beat the foam.

Vorstehend wurde eine übliche Scheuermaschineowns.
The above has been a common scrubbing machine
beschrieben.described.
The foam suction device 50 is an additional device for the scrubbing machine 10. It has a frame-shaped suction line 52, which is approximately circular in plan view, but not a complete one Circle forms, but extends only over an arc of about 270 ° and the lower end parts of the Outermost bristles 22 of the disc brush surrounds at a small distance. The opposite of each other End portions 54 of the suction line 52 are angled upward. On these end parts sit the entry ends of two transparent, flexible suction hoses 56 which are fastened with detachable hose clamps 58. At their outlet ends, the suction hoses 56 are through a Y-piece 60 with a common, im Diameter larger, transparent suction tube 57 connected, which is carried by the handle 32 and extends upwards along the same. The outlet end of the larger diameter suction pipe 57 is with the Connected inlet end of a suction line of a wet suction machine, not shown.
On opposite side parts of the suction line 52 are two upwardly directed, on their Lower ends concave rounded pipe pieces 62 attached. These side parts are in a vertical position Transverse plane which passes through the axis of rotation of the output shaft 16 of the motor 10. The lower ends of the Pipe sections 62 are closed with the aid of plugs 64 inserted therein. In each pipe section 62 is on a plug 66 screwed in at the upper end. Each of the pipe sections 62 also has an elongated hole 70. The όο Elongated holes 70 are facing each other radially outward on the outside of the pipe sections 62.
In each pipe section 62 a compression spring is arranged with its lower end on the corresponding plug 64 is seated. Furthermore, on each of the opposite side parts of the housing 12 a support piece 74 in the form of an inverted / with a horizontal flange 76, a short vertical one Flange 78 and a long vertical flange 80 attached. Each of the flanges 80 is below the Shock pad 48 attached to flange portion 46, with shock pad 48 between flanges 78 and 80 is compressed. Each of the vertical flanges 78 has a horizontally outwardly projecting pin 82, which slidably penetrates the corresponding elongated hole 70 above the compression spring 72 and at his free end has a spherical thickening 84 which is rotatable in the corresponding pipe section 62 and The compression springs 72 grip the thickenings 84 with their upper ends and try to push them upwards. The pipe sections 62 are therefore on opposite sides of the Housing 12 supported vertically displaceably with respect to this and pivotable about a horizontal transverse axis, which coincides with the center lines of the pegs 82. The lower ends of the flanges 80 are contoured to form inwardly open grooves 86 in which the adjacent Parts of the flange 47 fit snugly.
The suction line 52 is in the vicinity of its opposite, upwardly directed end portions 54 on their underside is provided with two narrow slots 90 extending in the circumferential direction. Two somewhat wider slots 92 are arranged immediately in front of the vertical transverse plane in which the pegs 82 lie. A third pair of even wider slots 94 are formed in the front of the suction line 52. the Slots 90,92 and 94 penetrate the lower part of the suction line 52. The distance between each other adjacent slots 90, 92 and 94 is as small as possible. Because in the furthest from the suction hoses 56 remote parts of the suction line 52 the widest slots 94 are formed and in the Suction hoses 56 nearer parts of the suction line 52 the slots become progressively wider there is a balance in terms of the suction forces that exist in the slots in the different parts of the Suction line 52 are available.
You can use existing scrubbing machines z. B. the machine 10, for the attachment of the Schdumaiifsaugvorrichtung Prepare 50 by attaching support pieces 74 to the machine. Therefore, if the suction line 52 is to be attached to the scrubbing machine, the plugs 66 are removed from the pipe sections 62 and the thickenings 84 inserted into the pipe sections from above, the pegs 82 being the elongated holes push through. After reinserting the plugs, the various suction hoses and tubes and 58 attached to the machine 10 and the suction hoses 56 at their inlet ends with the upwardly directed end portions 54 of the suction line are attached. Then you can use the machine in the usual way, using them in the manner shown in FIG. 6 indicated way can be tilted and thereby can be moved across the carpet. Actuation of valve 36 causes Cleaning solution flows downward in the outlet line 34 and passes through the openings 26, whereupon the rotating cleaning solution comes into contact with the bristles 22 and finally on the carpet 42 and immediately whipped into a foam by agglomerating particles coming off the carpet 42 and be suspended.
Dabei wird die Saugleitung 52 zusammen mit der Maschine 10 auf dem Teppich 42 hin- und herbewegt, so daß die Saugleitung 52 mit ihrer geschlitzten unterenThe suction line 52 is moved back and forth on the carpet 42 together with the machine 10, see above that the suction line 52 with its slotted lower
Surface on the surface of the carpet 42 slides and the whipped foam and those suspended in it, agglomerated dirt particles immediately as a result of the suction effect of the wet suction device, not shown be sucked up by the suction line 52 which is connected to the suction pipe 58. Hence the suction takes place of the foam from the carpet almost immediately after the cleaning solution turned into a foam has been beaten and the dirt particles removed from the carpet 42 agglomerate in the foam and have been suspended.
In practice it has been shown that with the help of Scrubbing machine according to the invention at least one third of the total amount of the dispensed liquid can be absorbed. On the other hand, with the usual cleaning of carpets with two workers, One of them operated a scrubbing machine and the other a vacuum cleaner, just a lot A smaller percentage of the total amount of liquid cleaning solution dispensed can be recovered. It is believed that a significant portion of the liquid cleaning solution dispensed will result its wetting agent penetrates deep into the carpet to be cleaned and therefore the scrubbing effect of the bristles 22 acting on the fibers of the carpet 42 to be cleaned is no longer exposed. As a result, that part of the dispensed cleaning solution that is exposed to the scrubbing action of the Bristles 22 is converted into a foam, and thus essentially the total amount of that in the foam suspended, agglomerated dirt particles, essentially removed by the strong suction effect, which the foam suction device 50 exerts on the carpet 42. Hence there is essentially none Need to vacuum carpet 42 after it has dried after being cleaned.
There the journals 82 extend along a transverse diameter penetrating the axis of rotation of the output shaft 16 of the machine 10, the greater tilting movement caused by the operator of the housing 12 of the machine 10 easily compensated and the smaller lateral tilting movement of the housing 12 during a revolving movement of the machine 10 on the carpet 42 to be cleaned the vertical displacement of the pegs 82 in the elongated holes 70 is compensated
As a result of the proposed according to the invention, suspended suspension of the suction line 52 on two This will score points while using de machine 10 constantly in full contact with the upper part Parts of the carpet fibers held. It has been shown that the present two-point suspension opposite A three- or four-point suspension is preferable because a three- and four-point suspension is not is capable of making full contact between the suction line 52 and the suction line 52 when the machine 10 is tilted sideways to ensure upper parts of the carpet fibers.
In the above, the foam suction device was presented in connection with a machine for scrubbing Carpets or the like. Described, but the Vorrich device can also be used on scrubbers for floors and small Scrubbing machines are used, which are mainly used to clean upholstered furniture.
The position of the pivot axis of the suction line 52 determined by the bearing journals 88 is important because the Cleaning a carpet, the machine 10 is generally moved in an orbit, the The operator alternately depresses and raises the stem 32. The strongest tilting movement of the Machine JO is therefore not carried out sideways, but nacr front and back. For this reason the two-point suspension on the machine 10 is arranged in such a way that the larger tilting movement of the machine 10 forwards and backwards is compensated for.
The suction line 52 can also be made of transparent material so that the flowing de; Foam through the suction line 52, the hoses 56 and the pipe 58 can be observed and therefore determined when the foam hit by the disc brush 18 on the carpet fibers is more substantial has been completely sucked into the suction channels of the Schaumaufsaugvor direction. Instead of the slots 90,92 and 94 it is also possible to provide a single, uninterrupted slot leading to the rear ends of the Suction line becomes narrower, or two on opposite set sides arranged slots, which also narrow to the rear ends of the suction line 52 out will. In any case, it has been shown that suction openings of the type provided here, with slots 90, 92 arranged at small distances from one another and 94, soak up the foam from a carpet being cleaned much better than several on the underside of the Suction line 52 openings arranged next to one another.
The pins 82 have the position shown in the elongated holes 70 when the bristles of the disc brush are not worn, but are essentially their full length. When the bristles of the disc brush wear and therefore become shorter, the suction line 52 rises relative to the housing 12 of the Scrubbing machine 10, so that the pins 82 are then further down in the elongated holes 70.
