Pneumontiermaschine
Fig. 1 eine Pneumontiermaschine in Seitenansicht,
Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 2.
Pneumatic machine
The invention relates to a pneumatic assembly machine with a stationary clamping device for a vehicle wheel and an axially displaceable working shaft arranged above it and driven by an electric motor via a transmission.
The characteristic feature of the invention is that the weight of the working shaft including the tool is balanced by means of a gas spring.
The gas spring consisting of a gas-filled cylinder and a piston rod displaceable therein can be accommodated within the working shaft.
The cylinder of the gas spring is connected, for example, to a part of the machine outside the working shaft.
The device is expediently designed in such a way that the cylinder is supported via a linkage against a piece of pipe protruding beyond the working shaft, while the end of the piston rod is attached to the upper end of the working shaft by means of a transverse pin.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a pneumatic assembly machine in side view,
FIG. 2 shows a detail from FIG. 1 on a larger scale, partly in section,
FIG. 3 shows a plan view of FIG. 2.
According to FIG. 1, the pneumatic machine consists of a foot 1 with the clamping table 2, an upwardly extending bracket 3 starting from the foot and having a bearing head 4 in which the working shaft 5 with the tool 6 is mounted so that it can be connected to the through the foot and the clamping table going central axis coincides. An electric motor 7 placed on the bracket 3 with an attached reduction gear 8 provides the drive to the output shaft 5. The working shaft 5 can be adjusted in height and fixed at the desired height by means of a locking screw 9 and a rotatable adjusting ring 10. A spline and groove connection of the output shaft 5 with the gear wheel of the transmission 8 sitting on it enables the drive at any height. Motor 7 and gear 8 form a unit which can be removed from bracket 3 and working shaft 5 after loosening a screw 11.
To apply or remove a tire, the vehicle wheel is fastened to the mounting table 2 and the working shaft 5 is lowered so far after loosening the locking screw 9 that the tool 6 comes into engagement with the tire of the vehicle wheel. With the switch 12, the motor 7 is switched on, the shaft 5 rotates and the tool 6 pulls the tire over the rim of the vehicle wheel.
After finishing the work, the shaft is lifted up and locked with the locking screw 9. Considerable force is required to push the shaft up with a tool. Lowering the shaft requires careful touching by hand, otherwise damage or accidents may occur. In order to remedy these deficiencies, the weight of the shaft is balanced with a tool by means of a spring.
A gas spring is used as a relief spring, which is dimensioned in such a way that it counterbalances the weight of the working shaft and the tool. In this way, the shaft can be moved easily and remains at any height due to the damping of the gas spring. The force effect of the gas spring is expediently dimensioned in such a way that the frictional resistance of the shaft is overcome and the shaft moves into the upper position solely through the action of the gas spring. When lowering, something must be helped with the hand.
According to FIG. 2, the gas spring is accommodated in the working shaft 5 and arranged in such a way that the pressure of the gas spring acts as a train on the working shaft. For this purpose, the gas spring, which consists of a cylinder 13 and a piston rod 14 which at the same time forms the piston, is fastened with its cylinder at the point 15 on a rod 16, the latter with a cover 17 of a pipe section surrounding the working shaft 5 and resting on the bearing head 4 18 is connected. The free end 19 of the piston rod 14 is in turn fastened to the upper end of the working shaft by means of a transverse pin 20. When the working shaft is pulled down, the piston rod 14 is pushed into the stationary cylinder 13, the force required to compress the gas in the cylinder being applied mainly by the weight of the shaft and the tool.
When the shaft is pushed up, the compressed gas in the cylinder expands and does a work of lifting the shaft.
The vehicle to be assembled with tires is not shown in the drawing. The lower position of the working shaft 5 is indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG.
