Fig. 1 einen Schnitt durch die Befestigungseinrichtung,
Device for fastening two plate elements to a rail
The invention relates to a device for fastening two plate elements running at right angles to one another on a rail.
The problem to be solved by the invention consists in attaching plates at right angles to one another to a rail in the simplest possible way without having to make holes or threads in the plates.
The invention, with which this problem is solved, is characterized in that the rail is designed in cross section essentially as a right-angled elbow, which contains a diagonal web widening at the free end, in which a holder that is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the rail engages, a holder that overlaps the holder , There is a substantially U-shaped bracket that presses in the fastening state with its two leg ends against the plate elements to be fastened and at least one screw is present with which the holder and the bracket for clamping the plate elements to the rail can be pulled into one another.
This makes it possible with simple means to create a solid corner connection, the only tool required is a screwdriver.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a section through the fastening device,
2 shows a section through a variant of the fastening device.
The rail 1, which can consist of light metal or plastic, has two legs 2 running at right angles to one another, the ends of which are each provided with an inwardly directed longitudinal rib 3. A diagonal web 4 forms a single piece with the legs 2. The free end of the diagonal web 4 is widened and has a transverse web 7 extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail, the ends of which are cranked inward so that they run at right angles to one another.
The arrangement is made in such a way that levels that are placed on the outer boundary surfaces of the rail delimit a square.
A holder 8 is pushed over the transverse web 7 and engages behind the transverse web 7 with its clamping shoes 9. In a straight line continuation of the web 4 there is a threaded hole 10 in the holder 8, into which a clamping screw 11 carried by a bracket 13 is threaded. The screw head 12 rests against the bracket 13 in the clamped state.
The essentially U-shaped bracket 13 engages with some lateral play over the holder 8 and is provided with two outer surfaces 14 running at right angles to one another, which are intended to rest against a plate element 15 each. The base of the central opening of the bracket is rounded. When the screw 11 is tightened, the two plate elements 15 can each be clamped between the longitudinal ribs 3 and the surfaces 14 of the bracket 13. Since there is a gap between the holder 8 and the bracket 13, plate element pairs of different thicknesses can be clamped. In order to be able to clamp plates of different thicknesses with this device, it is also possible to give the holder 8 a circular outer contour and to provide the ends of the legs 14 with a rounding instead of flat.
Furthermore, the through opening for the screw 11 in the bracket is designed as an elongated hole. As a result, the bracket 13 can pivot about an axis in the longitudinal direction of the rail relative to the holder and thus adapt to different thicknesses of the plate elements.
The panel elements include chipboard, plywood, synthetic resin panels, metal panels and the like. like. in question. To fasten trays or the like, the brackets and holders serve as supporting elements. To hold these trays immovable, two protruding pins 20 are used in the bracket 13. If necessary, these plate elements can also be provided with a hinge 16 - as can be seen from FIG. 2 - so that doors can thereby be attached.
In the embodiment variant according to FIG. 2, the web 4 is designed at its free end as a T-profile 22 which interacts with the holder 23. A bore provided with a thread 24 is located in the holder 23 and extends in the longitudinal direction of the rail. With this thread 24, a cover plate or tray can be screwed tight from above so that the holder and bracket act as a carrier at the same time.
The connection between the holder 23 and the bracket 26 is made by a screw 12. The hinge 28 is held in place with the aid of a filler piece 27 of somewhat less thickness than the plate 29. Longitudinal grooves 30 are provided in the bracket to accommodate other types of hinges, seals or the like.
It is also possible here to provide a further screw parallel to the screw 12, which only penetrates the holder 23 and presses on the T-profile 22, whereby the holder can first be fixed and then the plates can be clamped by the bracket 26 .
Both the holder 8, 23 and the bracket 13, 26 are preferably designed as relatively short sections that are connected to the rail 1 at suitable distances from one another. It would, however, also be possible to design the holder and / or the bracket as continuous rails which extend parallel to the rail 1 over its entire length.
