Kaffeemaschine
coffee machine
The invention relates to a coffee machine which can be designed to prepare one or at the same time several portions of the same or different sizes of coffee beverage.
The task to be solved is to create a coffee machine by means of which new coffee powder can be filled in and the used coffee powder can be removed without manually removing or moving parts of the machine, whereby the machine is able to produce one or more coffee beverage portions (cups or jug).
The coffee machine according to the invention is characterized by a cylinder block which can be moved vertically in a machine frame relative to a base plate and has one or more cylinder bores for receiving a piston which can each be moved relative to the cylinder block, a device for moving the cylinder block and the piston or pistons relative to the base plate mentioned, and a Device for supplying coffee powder, a device for supplying water to the underside of the piston and a filter and drainage arrangement for the coffee beverage provided in the area of the base plate.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. In this shows:
1 shows, in a schematic side view, the basic structure and the type of control of the main parts of a coffee machine according to the invention and
FIG. 2 shows four characteristic positions of the cylinder block and the piston in relation to the base plate in the representations I, II, III and IV to explain the mode of operation of the coffee machine according to the invention.
In Fig. 1, 1 designates a cylinder block, which can be moved up and down in a guide 2, which is only hinted at. This guide is preferably part of a frame, not shown, which supports the parts of the coffee machine shown in the drawing. The cylinder block 1 contains one (as shown in FIG. 1 for the purpose of simplifying the illustration) or several (according to FIG. 2) cylinder bores 3, in each of which a piston 4 of the same or different diameter can be moved back and forth or up and down. The cylinder block 1 and piston 4 can be moved relative to a base plate 5 by means of a device described later. A coffee powder feed line 6 opens into each cylinder bore 3, shown schematically as a pipe in FIG. 1, which is connected to a suitable metering device and is not described in detail.
Below the confluence of the coffee powder supply line in the cylinder space is a groove 7 in the bore wall for receiving a piston seal, for. B. a sleeve or O-ring seal is provided. This seal can also be arranged on the piston in order to achieve the desired closure with respect to the filling opening of the coffee powder feed line 6. The piston 4 has a pressurized water supply line 8, shown in a greatly simplified representation, which is connected to a suitable hot water preparation device and associated control elements, which are likewise not described in detail. The supply line is designed in the area of the piston crown in such a way that the supplied water is distributed as evenly as possible over the piston surface.
A collecting trough 9 with a drainage line 10 is provided in the base plate 5. Above the tub 9, supported in an offset, lies a filter plate 11, the upper side of which is flush with the surface 12 of the base plate 5. With 13 an ejector part for clearing away a coffee powder cake 24 ', 24 "shown only in Fig. 2 / IV. Its movement back and forth according to arrow A is controlled as a function of the movements of the cylinder block and the pistons.
To explain the operation of the coffee machine according to the invention, a cam disk arrangement with two cams 14 and 15 lying one inside the other for reasons of illustration, which sit on a common shaft 16 rotatable by a drive device, not shown, is shown on the right-hand upper edge of FIG. On the circumference of these cam disks at points B and C, which are not specified in detail and are arranged at the ends of control rods 17 and 18, follow-up elements which, via deflection pins 19 and 20, control the movement of said follow-up elements on suspension elements 21 and 22 (shown schematically) on cylinder block 1 or transferred to the piston 4. The direction of rotation of the cams 14, 15 is indicated by the arrow D.
The peripheral points I, II, III and IV correspond to the characteristic positions of the cylinder block 1 and the pistons 8 ', 8 "shown in FIG. 2 and also designated by I-IV. The dashed circular lines designated by a, b, c and d denote the maximum radii of the cam disk peripheries. Their distance from the center of the shaft 16 depends, taking into account the lever arm lengths left and right of the pivot pins 19, 20 on the control rods 17 and 18, according to the cylinder block 1 or the piston (s) 4 or . 8 ', 8 "with respect to the base plate 5 movements to be carried out. The distances selected in this regard in FIG. 1 are not to scale.
I denotes a so-called basic position in which the cylinder block 1 in FIGS. 1 and 2 is at a distance E and the piston or pistons 8 or 8 'and 8 "are at a distance F above the base plate 5.
The above-mentioned follow-up members at the right-hand end of the control rods 17, 18 are at their maximum distance from the center of the shaft 16 and hold the cylinder block and the pistons in the above-mentioned basic position. As soon as drinks are to be dispensed from the coffee machine, a corresponding command is entered to the control device (not shown), which first causes the cam disk arrangement to shift clockwise by a quarter, whereby the peripheral point II comes under the follower organs at points B and C. The follower organ moves at B from the maximum distance of the curve vensdleibenperipherie to the minimum distance from the center of the shaft 16, the underside of the cylinder block 1 resting on the surface of the base plate 5.
The follower element at C runs on the concentric circular path c between I and II in FIG. 1, so that the piston 8 or the pistons 8 'and 8 ″ do not experience any change in position relative to the base plate.
Thus, according to Fig. 2 / II below the bottoms of the pistons 8 'and 8 "closed spaces R' and R" are created. Now z. B. a coffee grinder and / or a dosing system for coffee powder caused by the control device to fill in one or both rooms R 'or R "coffee powder, which enters the relevant space via an opening slot 6' or 6".
After completion of the dosing process, the control device controls the cam disk arrangement by a further quarter turn clockwise forwards, so that now the peripheral point III under the follower elements at B and C is on the right-hand end of the control rods 17 and 18. While the follower organ at B followed the concentric circular path b, which corresponds to the minimum distance from the center of the shaft 16, the follower organ at C moves from the maximum to the minimum distance from the aforementioned center. As a result, the piston or pistons 4 or 8 'and 8 "now also lowered or lowered to a height G above the surface of the base plate 5, where the previously filled coffee powder is pressed together to form a tablet 23', 23". The tablet lies exactly above the relevant filter plate 11, 11 ',
11 "or above the collecting tray 9, 9 ', 9" below.
When lowering the piston or the piston, the coffee powder filling opening 6, 6 'or 6 "was covered and the seal 7, 7', 7" was passed over.
Now water of a suitable temperature (about 90-100 C) and a pressure of about 10 atm via the supply line 8 (only shown in FIG. 1), which is widened like an umbrella at the piston crown, is supplied in a coordinated amount from the water treatment device (not shown) fed. The hot pressurized water flows through the coffee powder tablet 23 ', 23 ", and the finished coffee beverage flows through the filter plates 11, 11', 11" into the tub 9, 9 ', 9 "below and from there to a distribution device (not shown).
A (not detailed) sealing seal between the underside of the cylinder block or the edge areas around the cylinder bores 3 ', 3 "(Fig. 2 / I) and the piston seal 7, 7', 7" prevent fluid from flowing in another way than the one described flows out of the coffee machine, both on the cylinder block and on the base plate suitable elements such. B. can be provided on (not shown) projections or depressions that ensure the seal.
After completion of the water supply, the control device causes the cam disk arrangement to rotate a further quarter turn in the clockwise direction, whereby the peripheral point IV (Fig. 1) comes under the follower organs at points B and C on the right-hand end of the control rods 17 and 18. The cam disk 14 controls the follower element at B from the minimum (b) to the maximum (a) distance from the center of the shaft 16, whereby the cylinder block 1 is lifted via the linkage 17 and brought to the height already designated by E in the basic position I. At the same time, the piston 4, 8 ', 8 "is raised by a distance which corresponds to the difference between the heights G (Fig. 2 / III) and E (Fig. 2 / IV).
This path is chosen to be as small as possible, but must be so large that the now leached coffee powder cake 24 ', 24 "can be exposed. The distance E is therefore only slightly greater than the height H of the now pressure-relieved coffee powder cake 24', 24" , which remains practically dry due to the only slight upward movement of the piston 4, 8 ', 8 "when the last-mentioned further turning of the cams, cleanly ejected from the cylinder bore on the filter plate 11', 11".
It goes without saying that when the eccentric arrangement reaches the peripheral point IV, there is no need to take a break, and that the device can continue to run by a further quarter turn until the peripheral point I returns to the basic position shown in FIG. During this last quarter turn, however, the ejector 13, which is only shown in FIG. 1, pushes the ground coffee cake 24 ', 24 "out of its position above the filter plate 11', 11" into a waste drawer. In multiple coffee machines, the ejector 13 can be provided in such a way that either a separate element is assigned to each piston or a common element is assigned to all the pistons.
Although the movement control for the cylinder block and the pistons has been described with reference to a cam control arranged sideways with respect to the cylinder block and the pistons and provided with a common shaft, it is understood that other control arrangements, e.g. B. with multiple shafts or mechanisms, e.g. B. crankshafts, are conceivable for moving the parts mentioned. All pistons can also be controlled by the same cam disk or by separate disks.
