B. in einem U-- oder J-förmigen Kanal 13 enthält; dann wird ein Teil ,der Flüssigkeit aus dem oberen Endteil des Kanals 13 entnommen, und zwar über die Entnahmeleitung 17; die entnommene Flüssigkeit wird dann dem gegenüberliegenden oberen Endteil des Kanals 13 zugeführt, und zwar über die Zuführleitung 18, eine -Pumpe 20, ein Steuerventil 21 und den Wärmeaustauscher 19. wobei ein Flüssig- keitsstrom aus dem Färbmittel gebildet wird, welcher sich in Richtung gegen das Entnla,hmeende des Kanals bewegt;
das zu behandelnde Material 22 wird durch die Durchlassöffnung 16 in die Flüssigkeit enthaltende Zone mit dem Färbmittel eingeführt; das so eingeführte Tex tilmaterial 22 wird in die Flüssigkeit enthaltende Zone gebracht, und das vordere Ende des Textilmaterials wird mit dem anderen Ende des Textilmaterials verbunden, bevor letzteres über die rotierende Winde 15 gelegt wird;
; Danach wird ein endloses Materialband ge bildet, und dieses wird schliesslich durch den Kanal 13 gezogen, und zwar einerseits durch die Drehbewegung der Winde 15 und anderseits durch die sich im Kanal 13 gebildete Flüssigkeitsströmung. Die Geschwindigkeit, mit welcher das Textilmaterial durch die Färbflüssigkeit des Kanals 13 läuft, ist geringer als die Geschwindigkeit des Flüssigkeitsstroms, so dass eine genügend stlarke Durchtränkung des zu behandelnden Materials, das heisst ein sehr gut gefärbtes Material, erhalten wird.

A typical device for the present invention has a bath or container which has a U- or J-shaped channel; Furthermore, the device has means to convey part of the treatment liquid located in the container from one end part of the channel to the other end part of the channel, a pumping device and a heating device both arranged in the channel, a rotatably mounted roller,
which is arranged in an upper part between the two end parts of the bath, wherein the textile material is introduced into a starting end of the treatment liquid by means of this rotatably mounted roller, I is then additionally driven forward by a liquid flow, which flow is generated by the circulating movement of the circulating means, and thereby is treated by the treatment liquid, namely by being carried along in the flow of the treatment liquid in order to finally be picked up again by the rotatably mounted roller. The initial length of the textile material in the liquid bath is chosen so that the material is held loosely.
This means that the textile material can be treated by the treatment liquid without being exposed to any significant tensile stresses.
As a result, disturbances in the form of irregular treatments of the textile material can be reduced to a minimum. In addition, according to a special embodiment of the device according to the invention, the temperature and the liquid level of the treatment liquid in the bath can be kept at constant values, in such a way that, for example, the upper part of the rotatably mounted roller is approximately at the same height as the liquid level, which of course allows the wet treatment of the textile material to be carried out under uniform or uniform conditions.
In order that the textile material can be introduced into the liquid in the passage in a satisfactory manner, the device is provided with means which form a jet-like flow in the liquid treatment bath, as well as means for controlling the speed of the liquid flow and means for the excessively rapid passage of the textile material through the bathroom. Such a device is suitable for the most varied areas of application, that is to say also for various types of textile materials which are to be subjected to wet treatment in the most economical way possible.
The devices described below are suitable for treating any type of textile material and any form of textile material, such as, for example, textile materials in tape form or also in open webs.

The dyeing device shown has a container 1 with a cylindrical head part 14, which is provided with a cylindrical roller or winch 15 which is rotatably mounted about a horizontal shaft or a drive shaft, a U-shaped channel 13, which on the in the Drawing shown manner is connected to the head part 14, and means to bring a part of the treatment liquid in circulation, which means include a removal line 17 and a supply line 18.
A heat exchanger 19 is equipped with a pump 20, and thus cooled liquid flows through the extraction line 17 from the bath, is heated in the heat exchanger 19, and then the heated liquid is fed back to the container 1 through the supply line 18. A number of passage openings 16 are arranged in the head part 14 in such a way that each passage opening lies directly above the upper section of each dye bath, so that each passage opening can serve both as a filling and removal opening for the textile material.
According to the present invention, the following method can be carried out by means of the device shown in FIG. 1: The method consists in that first a zone containing liquid is formed, which z.
B. contains in a U- or J-shaped channel 13; then a part of the liquid is withdrawn from the upper end part of the channel 13 via the withdrawal line 17; the removed liquid is then fed to the opposite upper end part of the channel 13, via the feed line 18, a pump 20, a control valve 21 and the heat exchanger 19, a liquid flow being formed from the coloring agent, which flows in the opposite direction the discharge end of the canal moved;
the material to be treated 22 is introduced through the passage opening 16 into the liquid-containing zone with the coloring agent; the textile material 22 thus introduced is brought into the liquid-containing zone, and the front end of the textile material is connected to the other end of the textile material before the latter is placed over the rotating winch 15;
; Then an endless band of material is formed and this is finally pulled through the channel 13, on the one hand by the rotary movement of the winch 15 and on the other hand by the flow of liquid formed in the channel 13. The speed at which the textile material runs through the dyeing liquid of the channel 13 is less than the speed of the liquid flow, so that a sufficiently strong impregnation of the material to be treated, that is to say a very well dyed material, is obtained.
The winch has the form of a rotatable small roller 15 which is almost completely immersed in the liquid contained in the tank or bath 1, that is to say in other words, the upper part of the rotatable roller 15 is almost at the same height as the level of the treatment liquid . A removal chamber 13 "with a triangular cross-section is located at a distance below the two upper ends of the bath. Thus the liquid contained in the small space 13" communicates with the liquid contained in the passage via a large number of small holes 13 'and becomes Discharged via the extraction line 17.
The means for returning the removed and reheated liquid to the bath comprise a guide 23 which is arranged on the inside of the upper end part 13 of the passage, as well as a channel member 24 which forms a body of revolution and which has a hyperbolic longitudinal section and which is immediately below the guide 23 is arranged, leaving a small space 25 between the guide member 23 and the element 24, as well as the supply line 18, one end of which is directly connected to the small space 25, while its other end is connected to a heat exchanger 19, the be nersefts connected to the extraction line 17, wherein a pump 20 is located in the latter.
If the feed pressure of the liquid returned through the line 18 is high enough, a jet-shaped flow is created in the space 25, hereinafter referred to as a jet plane. Thus, when the textile material to be treated is introduced into the upper part 26 of the bath 13 by means of the rotatably mounted roller 15, this material is forced into the part 27, which is located directly below the channel organ 24, by virtue of the action the jet of the supplied liquid, which pulls the material downwards.
The pressure of the liquid introduced into the space 25 can be controlled by means of a valve 21 which is built into the supply line 18. The width of the U-shaped or J-shaped passage 13 through which the treatment liquid is passed becomes larger and larger towards the upper end of the part 28 of the liquid flow in order to reduce the speed of the liquid, so that in the upper end part 28 the liquid flow moves the liquid very slowly.
In addition, the peripheral speed of the roller
15 so small that the textile material 22 is carried in a zigzag manner opposite the upper end part 28 of the liquid flow, in spite of the strong flow in part 27 directly below the channel element 24.
As a result, the textile material in the bath is exposed to a strong flow of liquid, which in other words guarantees that the treatment will go well.
The zigzag movement of the textile material, with a small amount of Zu-aj, eanspruchun.g in Kanal
13. enables the material to be picked up by the roller 15 in a completely free state, that is to say in a pure, spread-out state, as shown for example in FIG. 2, if the textile material is a woven or knitted cloth, and the formation of folds, which could prevent uniform wet treatment is thus avoided.
As already mentioned in the introduction to the description, the device described above can be used for dyeing textile materials in a dye bath under high or normal pressure. If the textile material has to be dyed under high pressure, such as synthetic fibers, for example, the liquid pressure can be kept at a desired high value by any control device known per se.
For example, a compressor can be used to introduce compressed air via a line 14 'into the head piece 14, in which case the air contained in the head part 14 can be kept at the desired pressure, which of course allows the treatment liquid in the bath 13 also to be kept at a desired pressure to hold high pressure.
For example, there have been successful attempts to use the so-called high-pressure dyeing process at high temperatures for dyeing yarns or clothes made from synthetic fibers. In the high pressure dyeing method using the circular dyeing method, the dyeing liquid is sometimes used with additional means such as a dispersing agent mixed with the dyeing liquid. However, such a mixed liquid tends to foam strongly at temperatures of 60 to 900.degree. Due to the foam formation, however, a uniform coloring of the textile material contained in the bath is disturbed.
This finding is also found with other wet treatments, such as dressing or bleaching. The present invention now also provides a means of eliminating the foam formed in the aforementioned process. Fig. 3 shows a device in which such means are incorporated.
The device shown in Fig. 3 has in principle the same construction as that in Fig. 1, except that it is equipped with the aforesaid means comprising a container 29 which is connected at its lower end to the head part 14 is. In the container 29 there is an anti-foaming agent, which is added drop by drop to the treatment liquid in the bath 13, specifically through the drip device 30.
When this anti-foaming agent is added to the treatment liquid in the tank 1, the foam floating on the surface of the liquid is quickly eliminated.
If a U- or J-shaped treatment channel of uniform lateral width is used (see Fig. 3) to allow the flow of liquid to pass through, it is necessary to control the flow of liquid in order to also obtain a uniform effect of the treatment liquid on the textile material. With the in Fig.
4, a plurality of suction devices is now provided to remove the liquid, that is to say the treatment liquid, from the bath. This device, too, is constructed in principle the same as the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, with the exception of the uniform lateral dimensions of the bath through which the treatment liquid flows and through a number of suction devices 31, 35 and 39. The suction devices 31, 35 and 39 are via lines 32, 32 '; 36, 36 '; 40, 40 ′ connected to the pump 20.
Several shut-off valves 33, 37 and 41 are in the lines 32, 32 '; 36, 36 '; 40, 40 'arranged. A further shut-off valve 34 is installed in the extraction line 17. Depending on how much the shut-off valves 33, 34, 37 and 41 are opened or closed, the speed of the treatment liquid passing through the passage will change or
can be controlled, for example when the shut-off valves 33 and 34 and 37 are closed and the shut-off valve 41 is open, so that the amount of liquid withdrawn via the suction device 39 per unit of time is approximately the same as the amount that is passed through the supply line 18 into the Passage 13 is introduced liquid, the treatment liquid located in the space between the suction device 39 and the part 28 Ides bath can be kept in a stationary state.
In practice, of course, the control valves 33, 34, 37 and 41 can be adjusted in the most varied of ways in order to obtain the most appropriate flow in the bath. As can be clearly seen from the drawing, the lines 43 and 45 and the shut-off valve 44, which is located on the underside of the bath 13, serve to divert the treatment liquid away after the work process has been completed.
5, 6 and 7 show further embodiments of devices for controlling the state of the liquid flow in the treatment channel 13. The general structure of the device shown in FIG. 5 is in principle the same as that of the device according to FIG.
4, with the exception that the withdrawal line 17 'is connected to another pump 84 which supplies the withdrawn liquid to a feed device 80 which is arranged above the guide 23, namely through a line 81, a shut-off valve 82 and a line 83. The direction of flow of the liquid is indicated in the drawing by arrows.
8 and 9 show further embodiments and devices for controlling the state of the liquid flow in the treatment channel 13. The general structure of the device shown in FIG. 8 is on the side the same as that of the device according to FIG. 1, with the exception of the device for circulating the treatment liquid.
In the example shown, the means for circulating the liquid consist of a suction device 48, a line 51, a shut-off valve 50, lines 51 ', 62, 63 and a pump 20, a heat exchanger 19, a supply line 18, a shut-off valve 21 and a line 18 ', which is connected to the treatment channel 13 in the manner shown in the drawing.
A laterally arranged suction device 46 is arranged on the outside of the bath immediately below the channel element 24, a suction line 52 being connected to the line 62, with the interposition of a shut-off valve 53 and a line 52 ', while a feeder 47 is arranged on the inner side of the passage,
namely in the right leg, and the other feed device 49 is also arranged along the inner side of the passage, namely, as the drawing shows, in the centrally located lower part of the tank (see FIG. 10). The feed device 47 is connected to the line 18 via branch lines 18 "and 55, a shut-off valve 56 and a line 57, while the feed device 49 is connected to the feed line 18 via the branch line 18", a shut-off valve 58 and a line 59.
A further suction device 49 'is arranged on the tank 1, namely on the side opposite the supply line 49 and is connected to the line 62 via a line 60, a shut-off valve 61 and a line 60', and a discharge line 45 is connected via a valve 44 and a line 43 connected to the line 60.
As FIG. 9 clearly shows, the textile material 22 is bombarded with the treatment liquid, namely continuously when the material is in front of the feed devices or suction devices 47, 49 or
46, 48, 49 'of the treatment channel 13 passes.
Thanks to this arrangement, the throughput speed of the textile material can be controlled, an undesired contact of the textile material with the treatment channel 13 being prevented and, above all, an adequate treatment of this textile material with the treatment liquid being achieved.
Fig. 10 shows a further embodiment of a device according to the invention. The basic structure of the device according to FIG. 10 is in principle the same as that of the device according to FIG. 6, with the exception that two control rollers are arranged directly below the channel element 24.
In the embodiments of the device described above (FIGS. 1, 4, 5 and 8), the transport speed of the textile material 22, caused by the jet of the treatment liquid in the lower part of the channel element 24, depends on the strength of the flow of the treatment liquid . However, if, as in the example of FIG.
If the two rollers 65, 65 'are arranged, the circulation speed of the textile material can be precisely controlled, for example if the speed is to be reduced. The rollers can have a smooth surface or a surface provided with grooves in order to control the speed of passage of the textile material through the treatment channel 13 in the manner described above.
11 and 12 show variants of a device according to FIG. 10, in which a U-shaped treatment channel (FIG. 11) and a circular passage (FIG. 12) are used. Usually it is civil. to keep the level of the treatment liquid in the bath constant while the textile material is being treated in the bath. The device shown in FIG. 13 is provided with an automatically operating control device, thanks to which the level of the treatment liquid can be kept constant during the treatment process.
The structure of the automatic control device is described in more detail below. As the level of the liquid increases, the slip between the roller 15 and the fabric 70 will increase. so that it becomes more and more difficult to pick up the textile material 70 through the roller 15 again. On the other hand, if the level of the liquid decreases, the tension exerted on the fabric by the roller will always increase.
In either case, careful treatment will definitely suffer. The purpose of the aforementioned control device is to eliminate such undesired influences by greatly varying the level of the treatment liquid in the bath. In the device of FIG. 13, a U- or J-shaped treatment channel is provided, and an inner space 71 is formed by the inner wall 13b of the passage 13.
A plurality of openings 67 are provided in the lower part of the inner wall 13b, specifically in such a way that the interior space 71 is connected to the interior space of the treatment channel 13. A compressor 68 is connected to the interior space 71 via a line 72 and is actuated via a device 69 which determines the level of the treatment liquid present in the tank 1. This device is accommodated in the head part 14, as FIG. 13 shows. Any known device or device can be used as the means for determining or monitoring the liquid level. The pressure in the space 71 is continuously controlled by the compressor 68.
When the monitoring device 69 detects a high level of the treatment liquid in the bath, the valve 72 'in the line 72 is opened so that the pressure in the space 71 decreases, the liquid contained in the tank 1 being conducted into the space 71, to be precise through the openings 67 until the monitoring device again determines the predetermined value of the level of the liquid.
On the other hand, if the monitoring device 69 detects that the level of the control fluid is too low, the compressor 68 is switched on and compressed air is introduced into the space 71 in order to increase the pressure in the space, which causes the fluid in the space 71 to enter the passage
13 applies, again through the openings
67, when the equilibrium between the liquid pressure in the chamber 71 and that of the treatment channel
13 is disturbed, the supply of liquid from the space 71 into the treatment channel 13 being interrupted,
when the monitoring device detects the predetermined liquid level and thereby interrupts the supply of compressed air supplied by the compressor 68.
It can be seen from the foregoing that by using the liquid level control device 68 a constant liquid level of the treatment liquid can be obtained, which on the other hand again ensures a uniform treatment of the textile material passing through the device.
By using the device shown in Fig. 13, the required amount of treatment liquid which is brought to treat the textile material, i.e. H. the ratio of the amount of treatment liquid to the amount of material to be treated can be controlled in a simple manner.
This means that if a larger amount of textile material is to be treated in the bathroom, a larger amount of treatment liquid will soon be required. The key position, however, is still the control of the treatment liquid level in the bath, in other words, the uppermost part of the rotatable roller 15 should always be at the same height as the treatment liquid level so that the material is treated uniformly without the latter being creased or folded.
In this case, the superfluous liquid, which is removed when the liquid level is too high, can be stored in the internal bath 71. That is, when a large amount of textile material needs to be treated, it is easy to use the apparatus shown in Fig. 13 and thereby achieve excellent and uniform treatment.
It is also known that it needs thicker inner walls of the treatment channel 13 in order to give the whole construction sufficient strength to yellow when the bath with a rectangular cross-section is used. But also a bath, which has the same wall thickness as a bath with a circular cross-section, can be used to be used with a device for controlling the pressure of the medium, which medium is contained in its space, which is through the inner wall of the U- or J-shaped treatment channel is defined or limited.
It is sufficient, according to the present invention, to produce a pressure equalization between the inside and the outside of the inner wall. If, for example, it is assumed that the cross section of the treatment channel 13 in FIG. 13 is rectangular and the water is present in a closed space which is formed by the inner wall 13b of the passage 13, a compressor 68 is arranged outside the device, which is in communication with the closed space via a connecting line 72.
If the air pressure in the closed space can be kept above the pressure in the head part 14, it is not necessary to use a thicker inner wall 13b than in the aforementioned case.
The initial costs of the device can therefore be reduced by saving material costs for the tank. In the aforementioned case, the water can also be omitted and simply replaced by air without the operation of the control device mentioned being questioned.
In all of the foregoing description, only cases of wet treatment of textile material in an endless form have been described. However, it is also possible to design the device so that a number of passages for Id! As textile material laterally along the drive shaft of the rotatably mounted shaft or
Roll are provided in order to form in this way a device for the treatment of non-endless textile material, and to treat such material continuously with this. In this case, the textile material is treated on the first pass through the bath and then picked up by the rotatably mounted roller, then reintroduced for the second pass through the bath and then picked up again by the rotatably mounted roller, then for a third pass guided through the bathroom etc.
The type of textile material to be processed with the device described above is not limited, as is the case with some other previous devices for treating textile materials, but any textile materials, such as yarn bundles, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, etc. can be used the inventive device to be treated. Accordingly, the shape of the cross-section of the bath is not limited to the circular shape, but any other cross-sectional shapes, such as, for example, rectangular cross-sections, can be used for the bath or the treatment channel.
