Non-slip strip intended to be attached to a ski
The main patent No. 453984 relates to a non-slip strip intended to be fixed to a ski by means of at least one element surrounding the latter, this strip being characterized in that this element is connected to the strip by its passage through at least a flange fixed to the latter which makes said element removable.
As a result, the element in question can, in fact, move laterally by sliding in the flange or flanges through which it passes.
This possibility has the corollary that the band can in turn move laterally in the direction of the binding element when it is narrower than the ski.
However, this movement can be unpleasant, for example when walking on a hill.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate this drawback by making the band and the fastening element completely integral with one another, while respecting the condition imposed by the object of the main patent, of constituting a removable whole.
This result is obtained according to the invention by adding to the strip a removable member passing through said element and the strip, on the side of the useful face of which this member has a flat head whose thickness is such that it practically allows it to drown in the bristles of the latter in the same way as the rivets of the flange.
The appended drawing represents an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the removable connecting member in the form of what is known in the Parisian staple trade.
Fig. 2 shows part of the band at the location of its binding, seen from the side applying against the ski.
Fig. 3 is a corresponding longitudinal section, but on a larger scale.
The removable connecting member shown in FIG. 1 consists of a head 1 in the form of a thin disc, in a diametral plane of which are located two contiguous thin blades 2 and 3. It is in itself the shape of what is commonly called Parisian staple, but of a size larger than the usual office staples.
In fig. 2, we see the back of the anti-slip strip 4 and a thin plate 5, which is fixed there by four flat rivets 6.
Between the band and this plate is placed the element for fixing the band to the ski, in the form of a tape 7.
In accordance with the condition stated in the claim of the main patent, this tape is normally free to slide between the strip and the wafer, to be completely removed, in short, it is removable.
In the present case, this sliding can be prevented at will by the following means:
The plate 5 has a slot 8 in its center, capable of providing passage to the two blades 2 and 3 of the member of FIG. 1. The latter being placed under the strip in the position of the latter shown in FIG. 2, through an incision, said blades will have been made to pass through both the strip and the tape 7, so as to make them emerge from the plate 5 through the slot 8.
Then folding these blades flat on the plate, it is obvious that band 4 and tape 7 will be immobilized with respect to each other, while having achieved an easily and instantly removable connection, that is to say removable .
In order to further ensure this connection, the embodiment shown shows that to the central slot 8 of the plate 5 are added on either side two slots 9 and 10 of the same size and which are parallel to it.
Their purpose is to allow the free ends of the blades 2 and 3 to be threaded therein, which are thus better kept flat on the plate. This security does not change the removable nature of the connecting member.
Finally, it should be noted, as emerges from the section in FIG. 3, that the very thin head 1 of the connecting member is practically drowned in the bristles 4 'of the active face of the anti-slip strip, in the same way as the rivets of the plate.
This flat head could obviously have a shape other than a disc, it could for example be square, etc.
