Dispensing device for liquid and in particular liquid soap
The present invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing liquid and in particular liquid soap, comprising a container for the liquid inside which a tube is immersed, the outer end of which constitutes a dispensing nozzle, at least part of the wall of the tube. this container being elastically deformable to allow pumping and ejection of the liquid through said nozzle, characterized in that it comprises a support for the container, a pressure lever being articulated on the support to act on the deformable part of the container, transmission means allowing control of this lever using the foot.
With such a device, the user's hands have no reason to come into contact either with the liquid container or with the support of the device, the operation of ejecting the liquid being done by remote control. foot. There is therefore therefore no risk of transmission of microbes or bacteria between the different users of this device, which makes it of prime importance for use in particular in hospitals, surgical departments, pediatrics, etc.
The appended drawings represent, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the dispensing apparatus according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view, with partial section, of this device.
Fig. 2 is a view of the rear part of the support of the container for the liquid.
Fig. 3 is a top view of this support.
Fig. 4 is a view of a construction detail.
With reference to the drawing, an apparatus for dispensing liquid, and in particular liquid soap, comprises a container 1 preferably made of an elastically deformable material, for example of flexible plastic. This container 1 is in the general shape of a bottle closed by a stopper 2 pierced with a hole 3 through which a tube 4 plunges into the container, the outer end of which 5 constitutes a nozzle for distributing the liquid 6 contained in the container 1. This distribution is carried out by pumping, an operation obtained by elastic deformation of at least part of the wall 7 of the container 1. To do this, this container 1 is carried by a support 8. This support 8 is formed from a sheet 9 folded in the general shape of a U, fixed against a vertical plate 10 having at its upper part a rim 11. A spacer 12 is fixed to the lower part of this vertical plate 10 and of the sheet 9.
This spacer 12 constitutes a bottom for retaining the container 1 in the support 8.
The vertical plate 10 which in fact forms a back wall for the container 1 has an opening 13 in the form of a horizontal slot. In this opening 13 is engaged a curved plate 14 constituting a pressure lever allowing the deformation of the side wall 7 of the container 1. This plate 14 has an extension 15 at its lower end, an extension capable of engaging in a second opening 16 of the vertical plate 10. This extension 15 is pierced with a hole 17 for hooking one end of a return spring 18 hooked on the other hand in a hole 19 of the spacer 12. The plate 13 has also a hole 20 at its upper end, hole 20 used for hooking one end 21 of a cable 22 under sheath 23.
This sheathed cable 22 23 constitutes a means of transmission between the lever 14 and a pedal 24. This pedal 24 is articulated by a pin 25 on a support 26 provided with non-slip feet 27, for example made of rubber. The support 26 has a hole 28 for the passage of the cable 22. Similarly, the pedal 24 has a folded edge 29 pierced with a hole 30 through which passes the end of the cable 22. A cable stop 31 is fixed on this cable end 22. Preferably, the upper part of the pedal 24 is provided with a non-slip coating, for example of rubber.
The operation of the dispensing device described above is carried out as follows:
After introducing liquid soap or another liquid to be dispensed, for example a disinfectant, into the container 1 after removing the stopper 2, this stopper 2 is replaced and the container 1 engages in the support 8. When it is desired to distribute a certain quantity of the liquid contained in the receptacle 1 by the nozzle 5, it suffices to exert a pressure using the foot on the pedal 24, which produces a traction of the cable 22 causing the pressure lever 14 to swing against the action of spring 18. The lower end of lever 14 then occupies the position shown in dotted lines in FIG. 1, position in which it compresses the wall 7 of the container, which causes a pumping effect and expulsion of a certain quantity of liquid through the tube 4 and the nozzle 5.
When the pedal 24 is released, the spring 18 returns the pressure lever 14 to its initial position, the elasticity of the wall 7 allowing it to return to its original position. A certain quantity of air then comes to replace the volume of liquid ejected during the previous dispensing movement.
In principle, when such a dispensing device is used to dispense liquid soap, the support 8 will be fixed by the plate 11 near a sink for example, while the pedal 24 will be placed on the floor, under the sink .
The various parts making up the support 8, as well as those forming the pedal 24 and its support 26, will preferably be metallic, that is to say in sheet metal, which makes their manufacture simple and inexpensive. However, as a variant, it is clear that some of these parts could be made of pressed or molded material, for example based on synthetic material. As a variant, the transmission means allowing control of the deformation of the wall 7 of the container 1, instead of being mechanical means, could for example be pneumatic means.
Such a device therefore makes it possible to guarantee the most absolute hygiene measures, which makes it possible to use it not only in public places, but also in operating theaters or other hospital services.
