Process for regulating the weight absorption of a textile fiber material
In order to regulate the weight absorption of a fiber material, it is known according to German Auslegeschrift No. 1 010 043 to change the contact pressure of the nip rollers. Furthermore, the concentration of the weighting agent can be changed depending on the measured weight absorption, as described in Swiss Patent No. 372 020, or the amount of treatment agent can be changed using the device disclosed in Swiss Patent No. 420 033.
When regulating the weight absorption by changing the contact pressure of the nip rollers, the result is that the contact pressure of the nip rollers cannot be increased arbitrarily. On the one hand, it must be taken into account that if the squeezing pressure is too high, knots can be pressed open and squeezed, the roller surface can be damaged and the squeeze joint between the two rollers widens so that an undesirably high wet expansion of the fibrous material to be treated occurs in this joint.
In addition, in such a case a very important flexing work has to be done, which unnecessarily loads the machine operation. On the other hand, however, it must also be taken into account that from a certain limit of the squeezing pressure on, with further increasing squeezing pressure, the squeezing effect changes only insignificantly and ultimately no longer changes at all. These considerations result in an optimal value for the squeeze pressure. In order to ensure a sufficiently large control range of the contact pressure below this optimum value when regulating the weight absorption by changing the contact pressure of the squeezing rollers, it is therefore necessary that the concentration of the weighting agent is selected to be somewhat lower than would be desirable with optimal squeezing.
However, this has the disadvantage that the downstream drying device has to provide a greater output in order to remove the higher proportion of moisture from the pulp.
Compared to the regulation by changing the squeezing pressure, the regulation of the weight absorption by changing the concentration of the weighting agent has the disadvantage that the squeezing pressure must first be preselected. In order to obtain the lowest possible drying performance of the subsequent drying device, it is therefore desirable to set the optimum value of the contact pressure of the Ouetsch rollers. Up to now, this has relied on empirical values, in which the type of fiber to be treated, in particular its absorption capacity, must also be taken into account.
With the new fiber materials, this inevitably means that an oversized safety margin must be maintained, which can only be reduced in the course of time based on the experience gained and during this time entails considerable losses for the processing company.
The invention is based on the object of creating a method for regulating the weight absorption of a textile fiber material which avoids the disadvantages of the previously known regulations.
The inventive method for regulating the weight absorption of a textile fiber material by influencing the contact pressure of the nip rollers and the concentration of the weighting agent in the treatment liquid is now characterized in that initially at a constant concentration of the textile fiber material, which in any case causes excessive weighting of the textile fiber material for the intended purpose Weighting means the contact pressure of the nip rollers is increased up to a value at which a further increase of this contact pressure would only result in an insignificant change in the weight absorption, and then the concentration of the weighting agent in the treatment liquid is adjusted according to the desired weight absorption.
This is the first time that the exact sequence for regulating the parameters influencing the absorption of the weight is determined and this is not left to the operator, as is still the case, for example, when using the device mentioned in Swiss Patent No. 372 020.
The treatment process for the textile fiber initially begins with a concentration of the weighting agent, which, even with the optimum value of the contact pressure of the nip rollers, still results in excessive weighting of the textile fiber, as this is generally considerably less harmful to the further processing of the textile fiber than too low a weighting . Then the contact pressure of the nip rollers is increased as a function of the weight absorption until a further increase in the contact pressure results in only an insignificant change in the weight absorption.
This also means that the optimum value of the contact pressure is reached. Then the concentration of the weighting agent can then be changed in a known manner depending on the weight absorption.
During this control process it can be advantageous to change the contact pressure in a manner known per se as a function of the passage speed of the goods when a change in the throughput speed of the goods is required, for example when switching to the crawler gear.
One embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained below with reference to the figure.
The figure shows the treatment container 1 containing the weighting agent, in this case the visual light solution, through which the fibrous material, in this case the warp thread sheet F, is passed by means of a dip roller 2 in a known manner. In addition, the thread sheet F is guided in a known manner over the deflection roller 3 and through the nip rollers 4. In a known manner, an overflow container 1 a is located on the sizing trough 1, from which the sizing is continuously fed in excess to the sizing trough 1 by means of a pump 5.
A measuring probe 6 for determining the water level is arranged within this overflow container 1 a, which ensures that the overflow container 1 a is refilled after the liquid level falls below a predetermined level.
In addition, the deflection roller 3 is equipped with a measuring device for determining the length of the thread sheet that has passed through. In the illustrated embodiment, this length measuring device consists of a pulse generator 7, the pulses of which influence a display device for the meter length covered. To refill the used sizing liquid, the overflow container 1 a is connected to the dosing and mixing vessel 9 via the line 8 and a valve 8 a that can be controlled manually or remotely. The dosing and mixing vessel 9 is supplied in a known manner via the line 10 and the valve 10a from the cooking or storage container 11 with a constant concentration of stock.
In order to achieve the desired concentration in the sizing trough, the dosing and mixing vessel 9 is also supplied with dilution liquid via the line 12 with the control valve 1 2a. To ensure the desired liquor temperature, the dosing and mixing vessel 9 is provided with direct steam heating, known per se, in which the heating steam supplied through the line 13 and valve 13a is let directly into the sizing solution of the dosing and mixing vessel 9. In the dosing and mixing vessel 9 one can also see a stirring device 14 which is driven by a motor 15 and serves to thoroughly mix the stock liquor with the diluting liquid.
Furthermore, a temperature sensor 16 and a level meter with the minimum contact 17 and the maximum contact 18 can be seen.
Finally, a probe 20 adjustable by a motor 19 is also provided, the task of which is to determine in a known manner the mixing ratio between the stock supplied from the boiling and storage container 11 and the diluting liquid supplied via the line 12.
The contact pressure of the nip rollers 4 is produced in a manner known per se by a pneumatically actuated piston in a cylinder 21.
To set the contact pressure, a control valve 22 is provided, which can be adjusted both by hand and by remote control. The contact pressure of the nip rollers 4 can be read directly on a manometer 23.
All measurement and control lines are routed to a switching device 24. On this switching device 24 one can initially see the main switch 25, which connects the entire system via the line 26 to the electrical network. Furthermore, a selector switch 27 and a display device 28 can be seen, which is connected to the pulse generator 7 and displays the meters of warp thread group F that have been run through. In addition, two push buttons 29, 30 are provided, by means of which the adjusting motor 19 for the probe 20 can be switched on in one direction or the other for an upward or downward movement of the probe. At the same time, the push button lights up, regardless of whether the motor 19 is switched on by actuating the push button or by actuation by the automatic system.
Finally, two indicator lamps 31, 32, possibly of different colors, are provided, one of which can be switched on by the measuring probe 6 and the other of which can be switched on by the display device 28.
The method according to the invention is carried out with the device shown in the following manner.
Before the start of the sizing process, the sizing trough 1 and the overflow container 1 a are filled with a sizing solution of excessive concentration. If, for example, a sizing concentration of 10% for the sizing trough 1 is likely to be correct, the sizing trough is initially filled with a 12 or 15% sizing solution. The selector switch 27 is now initially set to regulate the contact pressure of the nip rollers. For this purpose, for example, in accordance with Swiss Patent 372 020, the length of the thread sheet F that has passed through is compared with the consumption of sizing liquid in the sizing trough 1.
Since the sizing concentration in the trough 1 is excessive, the level meter 8 emits a signal that treatment liquid consumes earlier than the number of meters provided for the desired sizing is reached on the display device 28. In this case, the signal lamp 31 which can be switched on by the measuring probe 6 lights up and thus shows that too much size has been applied to the thread sheet F.
At the same time, the switching device 24 gives the valve 22 an adjustment pulse to increase the contact pressure of the nip rollers 4. This process is repeated until the display on the measuring device 28 no longer changes significantly when the display is repeated. The value of the contact pressure of the squeezing rollers 4 displayed on the pressure gauge 23 then corresponds to the optimum value of the squeezing effect.
If the optimum value of the contact pressure permissible in this case is not known in advance, the item to be treated, in this case the warp thread sheet F, must be observed while the contact pressure of the nip rollers 4 is increasing. Otherwise it is sufficient to observe the pressure gauge 23 and to interrupt the control process for increasing the contact pressure of the nip rollers 4 when the optimum value indicated on the pressure gauge 23 is reached.
If the optimum value of the contact pressure of the squeeze rollers 4 is reached, the selector switch 27 is set to the position concentration control)>, which now causes the concentration of the sizing solution fed to the sizing trough 1 via line 8 to be changed. The following process takes place here.
It is assumed that in the cooking or storage container 11 always a 20% stock liquor is produced, which is mixed with the diluting liquid supplied through the line 12 in the dosing and mixing vessel 9 in such a ratio that that supplied through the line 8 Usable size is given the concentration corresponding to the degree of sizing of the chain F. For this purpose, the valve 10a is first opened and so much stock liquor is introduced from the cooking or storage container 11 into the dosing or mixing vessel 9 until the adjustable probe 20 responds. Then the valve 10a is closed and the valve 1 2a opened, which now fills the dosing and mixing vessel 9 until the maximum contact 18 of the level meter responds.
Since, in the method described, the usable size fed to the sizing trough 1 through the line 8 should initially have an excessive concentration, so that the measuring probe 6 responds earlier than the measuring device 28 reaches the target number of meters even when the contact pressure of the squeegee rollers 4 is optimal, even after the switch of the selector switch 27 to the concentration control position, the indicator lamp 31 connected to the measuring probe 6 light up earlier than the indicator lamp 32 connected to the measuring device 28. At the same time, the switching device 24 sends control impulses to the motor 19 of the probe 20, and this until also the indicator lamp 32 illuminates, d. H. until the target number of meters is also reached on the measuring device 28.
The adjustment height of the probe 20 is thus greater, the greater the time difference between the response of the measuring probe 6 and the achievement of the target number of meters on the measuring device 28. The deeper the adjustable probe 20 is immersed in the dosing and mixing vessel, the less stock liquor is supplied via the line 10, so that the more diluting liquid is supplied via the line 12 to fill the dosing and mixing vessel 9. The concentration is reduced the more the deeper the adjustable probe 20 is immersed. If it should turn out here that the concentration drops slightly below the nominal value, so that the meter display of the measuring device 28 reaches its nominal value earlier than the measuring probe 6 responds, the indicator lamp 32 lights up first.
At the same time, the adjustment motor 19 for the probe 20 adjustment pulses are given in the direction that the probe is less deeply immersed in the container. Here, too, the adjustment pulses are given again during the entire time difference between the response of the meter display of the measuring device 28 and the response of the measuring probe 6.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, to determine the actual value of the weight absorption, instead of the comparison between the measured length of the thread sheet F that has passed through with the consumption determined on the level meter 6, another measuring method can be used which provides a reliable reference point for the actual value of the size absorption of the thread sheet F.
