Multi-barrel pistol
The invention relates to a multi-barrel pistol for firing flare, gas, alarm or starting shot cartridges, in which the firing pin is pivoted into the area of the ready-to-fire barrel by means of a safety lever pivoting from the safety into the respective firing position.
There are already devices on multi-barrel start and signal pistols in the most varied of designs are known, in which in particular each barrel is equipped with a separate firing pin and the trigger is provided with an adjustable striker detent, the latter being adjusted by hand or automatically by a clamping pawl, which transmits the trigger movement to the trigger, cooperates with a cam disk in order to move the clamping pawl out of the tap lock.
Another embodiment consists in that a hammer, which is articulated on the trigger, can be moved into the various firing positions against the action of a spring by a cam disc rotatably mounted on the trigger and moved gradually during the backward movement of the hammer, whereby the hammer can be adjusted to one or the other firing pin is.
It has been found that the aforementioned devices have significant disadvantages in that, for example, the direct interlocking of the cam disk or cam disk by means of fixed or movable pin connections resulted in unpleasant friction losses, which in turn had a not inconsiderable influence on the force required for the trigger. In addition, the components used in these known types of construction are very complex and production is laborious and expensive.
The task is now seen in avoiding these aforementioned unpleasant disadvantages, in particular also the resulting frictional losses of the functional parts, as far as possible by completely eliminating the application principle of cam disks.
This is achieved according to the invention in that only one firing pin is used for the gun barrels of the pistol, the firing pin being arranged axially movable in the center of the barrel axes in a shoulder bolt mounted in the weapon housing, and that on the latter outside the weapon housing a thumb spanning the weapon Hand-operated switch-over safety lever is attached, which can be switched from the safety position together with the firing pin into the ready-to-fire position of the desired gun barrel.
A cam projection arranged on the cocking valve, by means of which the cocking cock is tensioned and withdrawn by the clamping pawl when the trigger is actuated, is expediently arranged in such a way that the cam protrusion slides off the clamping pawl due to the rotary movement in the extreme clamping position. In order to functionally maintain this sliding position in terms of production technology even with coarser tolerances, the clamping pawl can be designed to be adjustable and adjustable by means of a threaded pin.
Furthermore, an insert piece made of a more solid material than the weapon housing is preferably provided to hold the cartridges, which are inserted, screwed in or held by means of a bayonet lock.
In the drawing, a preferred embodiment of a pistol designed according to the invention is shown.
Figure 1 shows a longitudinal section through the pistol,
FIG. 2 shows a cross section in the direction of the arrow through the pistol along the line 1-1 according to FIG. 1,
Figure 3 shows a partial view with the function of the safety device.
According to Figures 1, 2 and 3, the pistol consists of a housing 1 and 2 consisting of two halves, in which the functional parts are stored or
are arranged, wherein the two barrel extensions 3 and 4 are formed and connected to the weapon housing to form a unit. By pulling back the trigger 5, the clamping pawl 7, which is pivotably mounted in the trigger by means of bolts 6 and held in the operative position by the compression spring 8 and the pressure point adjusting screw 12, is held tensioned with its front shaft part 7 'by a nose projection 9 of the cocking valve 10 until the Rotary movement of the clamping cock 10 mounted on the axis 11, the clamping pawl 7 slides on the inclined plane of the cam projection 9. In this case, it is possible to adjust the position and the sliding of the clamping pawl 7 from the cam projection 9 with the pivot point adjusting screw 12 accordingly, which in turn offers significant manufacturing advantages.
Is by appropriate thumb actuation of the hand encompassing the handle 13 of the weapon, the switch-over safety lever 14 (Figure 2) and the rotating shoulder bolt 15 mounted in the handle 1 as well as the firing pin 16, which is guided therein, of the firing position of the barrel 3 shown in Figure 1 is rotated into the middle position , the weapon is secured in this position and the trigger 5 cannot be confirmed. For this purpose, a pin 17 riveted to the shoulder bolt 15 (FIG. 3) engages along the surface 18 of a locking piece 20 under the influence of a spring 19 in the locking groove 21, the locking piece 20 being pushed so far down that it enters the Recess 22 of the trigger 5 engages and the latter locked.
If, as already described, the change-over lever and thus simultaneously the firing pin 16 are pivoted into the lower firing position, the pin 17 slides out of the locking groove 21 and moves to the left along the surface 18 'of the locking piece 20, whereby after cocking the trigger 5 barrel 4 is ready to fire.
For the purpose of firing a cartridge in the respective active position of the pivoted firing pin 16, its rear end 23 is hit by the surface 24 or 25 of the cock 10 by actuating the trigger, the firing pin 16 under the constant influence of its compression spring 27 in the rear position according to FIG rests on the cock 10.
In order to keep the wear and tear of the weapon in the guide area of the cartridge bearing to the firing pin tip 16 as low as possible, a cartridge guide plate 28 made of solid material is arranged in the housing of the weapon, namely on the inner part of the weapon barrels, in which the cartridges, for example screwed in, fastened by means of a resilient pin connection or held in a similar manner.
The invention is not limited solely to the embodiment shown, and it basically relates to multi-barrel signal pistols using only one firing pin for more than one gun barrel.
