Alarmeinrichtung
Fig. 1 eine Explosivdarstellung der Einrichtung.
Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht eines Teiles der Einrichtung,
Fig. 3 eine Vorderansicht der Einrichtung ohne Skala,
Alarm device
The present invention relates to an alarm device with main setting means for setting the signal triggering time and signal triggering, which are in frictional connection with a secondary setting lever for additional setting of the triggering time, grids being provided for a predetermined, preselectable position of said lever.
Such alarm devices are known. These allow a usually set signal time, about 7 o'clock, to be set to about 6:30 a.m. without adjusting the main setting means using the secondary setting lever, for which purpose the lever mentioned can be lifted here and an exercise can easily take place in the dark.
The purpose of the present invention is now to improve the alarm device, which is achieved in that the lever has a tooth profile into which a rotatable gear wheel engages for the adjustment of the lever from grid to grid.
As a result of these measures, it is now possible to make the additional setting more easily and safely by simply turning the gear.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 is an exploded view of the device.
Fig. 2 is a front view of part of the device,
3 shows a front view of the device without a scale,
4 shows a view according to FIG. 3 with a different setting,
5 shows a section along the section line 5-5 in FIGS. 3 and
6 shows a section along the section line 6-6 in FIG. 4.
According to FIGS. 1 and 2, the alarm clock, which can be built into a radio, for example, comprises a front plate 4 on which a dial 6 is arranged with characters printed or otherwise applied. Conventionally drivable hour, minute and second hands 8, 10 and 12 are arranged above the scale.
In the present example, a self-starting synchronous motor with a field coil 14 is provided as the drive motor, which is connected to an alternating current source with a regulated frequency. A magnetic vibrator 20 cooperates with the coil 14, which can be influenced by the leakage flux and which vibrates with its free end 22 against the stator 24, whereby an audible alarm sound is generated when the motor is excited, except when a control lever 26 prevents the vibration of the vibrator 20.
A gear 28 is provided for signal adjustment, which carries projecting control surfaces 30 on the disk. To set the rotational position of the gear, main setting means are provided which comprise a gear 32 which meshes with the former. The gear wheel 32 is carried by a shaft 34 which extends through the rear wall of the clock and at the end carries an adjusting member.
With this arrangement, the signal time can be set, as will be described in more detail below.
Hour hand gear 16 and gear 28 control the operation of the signal. As FIG. 1 shows, control surfaces 38 are also formed on gearwheel 16 such that they interact with control surfaces 30 of gearwheel 28 in such a way that gearwheel 16 is axially displaced away from gearwheel 28.
As FIG. 5 shows in more detail, a shaft and a sleeve arrangement extend through the front plate 4 through a shaft opening 40. The sleeve arrangement comprises a central, displaceable pin 42 for the second hand 12 and a sleeve 44 which surrounds the pin 42 and the minute hand 10 carries. A shaft 18 surrounds the sleeve 44 and carries the hour hand 8 at one end and the gear 16 at its other end. A signal setting shaft 46 surrounds the hour shaft 18 and carries a signal pointer 36 on one end and gear 28 on the other end.
For an additional variation of the relative rotational position of the signal time setting gear 28 and thus the signal setting, secondary setting means are provided which comprise a secondary setting lever 48 which is in frictional connection with the above-described parts 46, 28 and 36 for a rotation of the shaft 46.
As shown in more detail in FIG. 1, the lever 48 is generally rectangular in shape with a rectangular opening 50 in the center. A molded arm 52 extends into the opening 50 upwards in the illustration. In this arm there is a hole 54 for fastening the lever on the tube stack. The shaft 46 extends rotatably through the bore 54. For this purpose, the sleeve or shaft 46 has a shoulder 56 on which the smaller end of a conical helical spring 58 rests. The larger end of this spring rests on a disk 60. The spring is kept under tension. The arrangement described above allows the lever 48 to be pressed firmly but resiliently against the front panel 4.
A disk 62 for the frictional connection between lever 48 and gear 28 and thus shaft 46 has a tab 64 which extends through a slot 66 in front plate 4 and through a corresponding opening 68 in lever 48. FIG. 5 can be seen that the spring 58 resiliently affects the shaft 46 and the gear 28 so that the front surface of the gear 28 is pressed against the disk 62. In this way, turning the lever 48 causes the disk 62 to be entrained by the tab 64 and thus a corresponding turning of the gear 28, the shaft 46 and the pointer 36.
For the adjustment of the secondary lever to any predetermined position, a safe and easily producible arrangement is made. As FIG. 1 shows, a number of depressions 70, 70a, 70b, 70c, and 70d are stamped into the front plate 4, approximately at the same time as the opening 40, recess 66 and other openings are manufactured. A rear elevation 74 on the lever 48 cooperates with these depressions 70.
The lever 48 is also equipped with teeth 76 at the same time. The lever 48 can also be easily produced in a stamping process.
A gear 78, which sits on an adjusting pin 80 with an adjusting handle 82, interacts with the teeth 76 on the lever 48. The pin 80 is guided in an eye 72 on the front plate 4. With this gear, the lever 48 can be locked in its various predetermined positions.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the five recesses 70, 70a-70d allow four additional preselectable time settings. From FIG. 2 it can be seen that the time settings 30 minutes before and after and 60 minutes before and after the selected alarm triggering are possible. If, however, the originally determined signal time is desired, the neutral position 70 is selected (FIG. 6).
If the signal is to sound 30 minutes later than usual, for example, the elevation 74 on the lever 48 is locked into the recess 70a by turning the knob 82 counterclockwise. During this movement, the disk 62 takes the gear 28 and the shaft 46 with it in a clockwise direction.
To illustrate the mode of operation of the alarm clock described above, it is assumed that the normally set signal time is set for 7:00 a.m.
The setting button 82 for the secondary time is in the neutral position shown in FIG. 2. The signal time is set by means of lever 34 by turning gear 28 and shaft 46 until pointer 36 is at the 7 o'clock mark on the scale. During this setting, the gear wheel 28 grinds on the disk 62 without moving the latter and thus the lever 48.
The hour hand gear 16 is rotated with the clock motor, whereupon at 7 o'clock the control surfaces 38, in cooperation with the control surfaces 30, have pushed the gear 16 back so far that the locking lever 26 is free and the signal sounds. The signal is then interrupted again in a known manner, not shown, and can be repeated day after day at 7:00 a.m. without further settings.
If, as an exception, the alarm should occur at about 6.30 a.m., it is only necessary to adjust the setting button 82 in the manner described above such that the elevation 74 on the lever 48 is locked into the recess 70b. Here, the disk 62 moves the gear 28 and the shaft 46 by a simultaneous amount in the counterclockwise direction, so that at 6:30 a.m. the control surfaces 38 and 30 have already moved the gear 16 backwards so far that the alarm is triggered. If the signal is to be given again at 7:00 a.m. on the next day, it will only be necessary to return the adjusting knob 82 to its neutral position.
Of course, other time preselections can also be provided with the same simple secondary setting means, for example quarter-hour or ten-minute.
