Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht der erfindungsgemässen Einrichtung,
Device for suctioning off thread and sliver breaks and for shutting down spinning machines
The invention relates to a device for suctioning off thread and sliver breaks and for stopping spinning machines, a sieve element arranged in the suction line being provided and the stopping mechanism responding to the difference in pressures in front of and behind the sieve element.
In the case of flyer spinning machines or roving machines, it is well known that the machine must be shut down if the roving breaks. A large number of devices are known for automatic shutdown.
It is known, for example, to arrange electrodes in a suction tube receiving the broken fuse, the electric field between these electrodes being changed by the broken fuse being sucked in, and the machine then being stopped via a downstream electronic arrangement.
It is also known to arrange a light source in the suction channel, the light of which acts on a photocell arranged opposite. The light beam is broken when the flakes of the broken fuse enter the channel and pass the light path.
Furthermore, it is known to provide elastic or elastically mounted impact elements in the suction channel which, when the broken rovings collide, cause electrical or magnetic impulses to shut down the machine through contact closure.
Furthermore, a device is known which changes the air pressure in a chamber in the event of a thread breakage, and uses the resulting pressure difference to switch off the machine.
Finally, a device is also known, according to which a movable sieve element is arranged in a broken roving suction channel, through which the air flow of the suction channel flows completely. In the event of roving breakage, this sieve element should become clogged by the resulting fiber flocks in such a way that it is moved by the impinging air flow and thus dissolves a contact to switch off the machine.
The first group of known devices, which derive the machine shutdown pulse from electrodes, the electric field of which is changed by the fiber flight, undoubtedly has the disadvantage that a great deal of electronic effort is required to fulfill the task, with all the disadvantages and uncertainties, the electronic circuits cling. The same applies to the devices that use light paths and photocells.
The shut-off devices, which use the air pressure differences that are generated by the considerably larger amount of flakes when the sliver breaks, appear more reliable than the aforementioned devices. However, the device described, which has a movable sieve element in a broken roving suction channel, through which the air stream of the suction channel flows, is not absolutely reliable in terms of function. Because, as is well known, not only the broken sliver is sucked in in sliver suction ducts, but also the fluff that is always present in spinning mills. As a result, however, the sieve organ is covered over time, so that the machine switches off after a correspondingly long time, although no roving has occurred.
The device according to the invention avoids all of these disadvantages outlined above.
The device according to the invention is based on the known device in which a sieve element is provided in the suction line, and in which the stopping mechanism responds to the difference in the pressures in front of and behind the sieve element. The known device is improved according to the invention in that a stationarily arranged sieve is provided in the main air flow of the suction channel, furthermore a bypass line branching off part of the main air flow in front of the sieve and a movable flap arranged behind the sieve, which on the one hand the action of the main air flow passing through the sieve , on the other hand, is subjected to an external force counteracting the impact force of the main air flow and can be pivoted in the direction of the sieve to shut down the machine by closing an electrical contact,
and also a controlled closable cleaning air inlet flap arranged in the flow direction upstream of the screen opposite the connec tion channel to the bypass line.
With the device according to the invention it is achieved that, as long as the suction flow that flows in through the suction line does not contain a very significant proportion of fibers, the flow essentially passes through the sieve, so that the movable flap downstream of the sieve is kept open against the external force becomes. If, however, a roving breakage occurs, then a considerable amount of fiber flocks will hit the sieve, the air from the suction channel will enter the bypass line, behind the sieve and in front of the movable flap there will be a pressure drop, causing the movable flap to move under the influence of the external force moves towards the sieve and stops the machine via the electrical contact and corresponding electrical auxiliary equipment.
So that the disadvantage does not arise that the screen is covered up by the general fiber fly, which is not caused by broken roving, and thus incorrectly causing a machine standstill, a controlled closable cleaning air inlet flap is arranged opposite the connection channel to the surrounding line in the flow direction upstream of the screen. This flap could be unlocked from the outside at will, e.g. to have the effect that, when it is opened, an air flow from the outside sweeps the stationary screen essentially tangentially and can thus clean it of the accumulated fiber fly. The opening times and opening times of the cleaning air inlet flap could easily be regulated according to the average general incidence of fiber fly.
In addition, it is expedient to take care that the cleaning air inlet flap is opened in particular when the screen has become clogged in the event of a roving breakage and the machine has been switched off. The sieve is then cleaned from the fibers of the broken sliver by the tangential air flow, so that the automatic shut-off is ready for operation again.
The idea of the invention can be further developed in various, expedient ways. The aim of these additional features, which expand the basic idea, will generally be to make the device according to the invention easily adjustable and adaptable to the respective conditions.
In particular, the flow and pressure conditions can advantageously be influenced by providing guide plates and the like that guide the flow in the desired direction and regulate the flow rate through the respective points accordingly.
Furthermore, in one embodiment, the kinematic effectiveness of the movable control elements can also be influenced, for example by regulating the external force (displaceable weight on a lever arm, helical spring with adjustable torsional force, etc.).
Finally, the arrangement for actuating the cleaning air inlet flap can be designed in such a way that a magnet is provided which, via a tie rod, opens the air inlet flap, which is otherwise closed by spring force. The point in time and duration of the opening can be brought about by a program control, whereby the program control can consist, for example, of a switching mode, but known electronic pulse generators can also be used.
The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings. In the drawings shows:
1 shows a cleaning and parking device according to the invention in a perspective view,
2 shows a side view of the device according to the invention,
FIGS. 3 to 5 are views like FIG. 2 in different functional positions,
6 shows a contact plate for a contact that closes in only one direction of movement.
According to FIGS. 1 to 5, the main pipe 1 is expanded by the bypass line 3. The branch 2 is a continuation of the main pipe 1; the branch 3 is connected to the main pipe 1 via a connecting duct 4. In the area of the branch 2, according to FIG. 2, a sieve 5 is fixedly arranged perpendicular to the main flow 6, the cross section of which corresponds approximately to the cross section of the main pipe 1. The frame 3 of the screen 5 is integrally connected to the guide plate 7, which at the same time separates the branches 2 and 3 from one another. The guide plate 7 has a flow-guiding threshold 8 projecting against the flow in front of the plane of the screen 5.
The baffle 7 can be bent down slightly at the free rear end so that the flap 9, which is pivotably arranged behind the sieve 5, can sweep along the lower side of the baffle 7 with a small air gap. The flap 9 is pivotably attached to the wall 10 which is arranged parallel to the sieve 5 and which has an opening 11 corresponding to the size of the sieve and which is connected in one piece to the sieve frame.
To regulate the pressure conditions behind the flap 9 or behind the sieve 5, the guide plate 7 is provided with a cutout 12, the size of which can be changed by laterally displaceable adjusting plates 13 that more or less cover the cutout 12.
The dimensions of the connecting channel 4 are also to be varied; this can be accomplished, for example, by means of a displaceable guide plate 14 adapted to the shape of the main pipe 1.
The flap 9 is pivotable about the axis 15; it is loaded via a corresponding lever 16 with the displaceable counterweight 17 or with an adjusting spring. A contact arm 18 is also seated on the shaft 15. The angular position of 18 with respect to the flap 9 can be adjusted in order to influence the time sequence between the stopping of the machine and the cleaning of the sieve 5.
This contact arm 18 interacts with a contact piece 20 (FIG. 2) which is electrically conductive on the side facing the contact arm 18. The contact piece 20 switches off the machine via the circuit 21 when contact is made via the arm 18.
The circuit 22, independently of the circuit 21, causes the electromagnet 23 to be excited from time to time when the program is controlled and thus the lever 24 is pulled, which in turn opens the shutter 25.
According to FIG. 5, provision is made for the adjustment weight 17 or another organ connected to the flap 9 or controlled by the flap 9 to open the cleaning flap 25 when the flap 9 blocks the sieve 5; In this way it is achieved that approximately at the same time as the machine is switched off, the existing air flow tears away the fibers or the broken rovings deposited on the sieve 5.
6 shows the contact lever 18 with the contact surface 20a of the contact plate 20 in the current-closing (21) position. During the return movement, the position shown on the left in FIG. 6 occurs, the laterally resilient contact lever 18 brushing over the insulating layer 20b. As shown, the lever 18 can be laterally rigid and the contact plate 20 laterally resilient, for example as shown at the bottom right in FIG. 5, by attaching it to a spring tab 26 which is fastened to the wall 19 via an insulation 27. The wall 19 is the side wall of the overall housing shown in FIG. 1.
The mode of operation of the device according to the invention is as follows: As long as there is no roving breakage, the flow 6 of the main pipe 1 goes straight through the sieve 5, although a partial flow can also go through the branch 3. All fibers contained in the main flow 6 and contained only in small quantities before a roving breakage go straight ahead due to their inertia and are therefore deposited on the sieve 5. From time to time the electromagnet 23 can be excited for a short time by a program control, so that the cleaning flap 25 is opened via the electromagnet 24 without the machine being switched off (the flap 9 remains open) (FIG. 3).
As soon as roving occurs, the main flow 6 carries a larger amount of fibers with it, which almost completely cover the screen 5 and thus make it impermeable.
As a result of the now missing air flow, which otherwise keeps the flap 9 open, it pivots into the closed position, the weight 17 according to FIG. 5 opening the cleaning flap 25 so that air can enter through this, whereby the sieve is cleaned. At the same time, contact is also made between the contact lever 18 and the contact plate 20, which in turn brings about the shutdown of the machine via the now closing circuit 21.
One advantage of the device explained is, as already mentioned, that on the one hand there is permanent cleaning, namely in an intermittent and controlled manner, for the sieve, and on the other hand it is prevented that the machine during operation is prevented from clogging the sieve with normal fiber flight is stopped.
A further advantage of the explained device according to the invention is that the machine can be switched off in a simple manner with a minimal delay after the roving has broken.
It is also advantageous that all controlling organs are outside the air flow; Expediently, the weight 17 or another organ which actuates the opening flap 25 is also arranged outside the device building.
The already described advantages of a device according to the invention of being adjustable or even controllable in different respects, i.e. adaptable to the different operating conditions, materials and the like, are achieved in the illustrated embodiment in particular by the changeability of the cross section 4, by the changeability of the load the flap 9, for example by the displaceable weight 17, further by changing the angular setting of the contact lever 17 with respect to the flap 9 or
compared to the weight 17 and by changing the area of the cutout 12, the last-mentioned measure in particular making it possible to regulate or adapt the pressure conditions in front of and behind the flap 9.
