Example I.
The monoazo dye, which is obtained by coupling 0.1 mol of diazotiettèr 1-amino-2-ethoxynaphthalin-7-solphonic acid with 0.1 mol of 2,5-dimethoxyaniline, is dissolved in 800 ml of water in a slightly alkaline manner, at 0 to 50 C mixed with 30 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid and with 8 g of sodium nitrite, dissolved in 25 ml of water, cited. The diazotization mixture is left to stir for 2 hours, then it is suctioned off with the addition of common salt. The resulting diazonium salt paste is suspended in 500 ml of water, an excess of nitrite is destroyed with sulfamic acid and the mixture is then added to a neutral solution of 0.1 mol of 4-benzoylamino8-hydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in 700 ml of water and 50 g of soda.
The coupling mixture is stirred overnight, the dye is then filtered off with suction and dried. The dried dye is a dark powder that dissolves in water with a blue-green color and dyes cotton in blue-green tones. He corresponds to the formula

The mixture is stirred for a few hours, filtered off with suction and the acetyl group is saponified by heating for one hour to 90 to 950 ° C. in 500 ml of 10% strength sodium hydroxide solution. After cooling, it is adjusted to pH 7 with concentrated hydrochloric acid and suctioned off. The monoazo dye thus obtained is dissolved in 1500 ml of water and 300 ml of dimethylformamide, and 7.5 g of sodium nitrite in 30 ml of water and 30 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid are added at 5 to 10 ° C. The mixture is stirred for 10 minutes, then the excess nitrite is destroyed and the DF azonium salt is added to a solution of 0.1 mol of 3-benooylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in 500 ml of water, 40 g of soda and 100 ml of pyridine.
