Installation for the manufacture of glued-laminated frames The present invention relates to an installation for the manufacture of glued-laminated frames, which is characterized by at least one slat clamping device comprising a clamping cable, a first plate carrying a shaft sliding in a sleeve provided with two wings, on one of which is hooked one of the ends of said cable, the other end of this cable being hooked to the other wing by means of a take-up element slack, a second plate around which said cable forms a branch and a locking key for the first plate relative to the sleeve and at least one hydraulic cylinder, which is hooked by hooks integral with its cylinder to the wings of the sleeve,
means being provided for supplying a pressurized fluid to said cylinder.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the installation which is the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a side view of the clamp device. The different strips that one wants to glue to constitute the frame are designated by 1. This device comprises a rear clamping plate 2 for view of a guide element 2a of the cable 4, and of a positive attachment device 2b of the clamp against the che valet which will be described later. 3 designates the front clamping plate. On the plate 3 is fixed a shaft 6, provided with a recess 6a at its base against the plate 3, and a diametral countersink 6b, allowing a key 10 to slide. The sleeve 5 is slipped onto the shaft. 6.
It has two wings, on one of which, 7, is hooked one end of the cable, while the other, 8, serves as a support for the frog 9 allowing the cable to be retained after each tensile force. .
Figure 2 shows the hydraulic clamping device, comprising the cylinder of the jack 11, at the base of which are fixed two articulated hooks 13 and 14. The pressurized fluid, brought into the pipe 15, and whose arrival can be controlled by the lever 16, causes the piston 12 to advance out of the cylinder 11. During operation of the installation, the two articulated arms 13 and 14 come to hook respectively under the wings 8 and 7 of the sleeve 5, while the piston 12 presses on the shaft 6.
Fig. 3 shows the initial hand tightening device, which comprises a cylindrical sleeve 17, intended to be threaded onto the shaft 6 of the device shown in FIG. 1. This sleeve 17 comprises a wing 17a on which the hand lever 18 is articulated making it possible to drive the frog 19 alternately.
Fig. 4 shows in section the easel allows both the support of the strips to be glued and the clamp device. It consists of two base beams, only one of which is visible at 20, two vertical beams 21, fixed to the base beam 20 and reinforced by an upright 22. The beams 21 have a U-shaped section and are connected by one of their wings, which retains a flat iron 23. This flat iron 23 comprises a first or verture 24a in which the first clamping device can be hooked by its hook 2b. It also has two openings 25a allowing the wise pitch of the two strands of the cable.
In the embodiment shown, it comprises another opening 24b and two other openings 25b, allowing the attachment of a second clamp device. The pack of strips intended to be assembled by the first clamp is shown at 26.
The assembly shown in FIG. 4 is fitted with anchoring devices allowing it to be placed and anchored at will on the floor of an assembly hall. It is therefore possible, by placing several assemblies according to FIG. 4 according to a curve, obtain several unaligned anchor points thus making it possible to produce shaped beams by forcing them, during the bonding period, against the trestles thus arranged.
The operation of the installation thus described is as follows. The packets of strips 1 in FIG. 1, 26 in fig. 4, which will constitute the frame to be manufactured, previously provided with glue, are placed on the easel shown in FIG. 4. They are then wrapped with one or more clamping devices shown in FIG. 1. A first tightening is carried out by means of the manual device shown in FIG. 3. We just thread its cylinder 17 on the shaft 6 of FIG. 1, and the free end of the cable 4 is threaded into the frog 19.
By printing the lever 18 back and forth, we already obtain a good tightening of the packet of strips 1 between the plates 2 and 3. The cable is kept under tension by the frog 9. It is therefore now possible to move away the apparatus shown in FIG. 3, and replace it with the proper hydraulic clamping device, shown in fig. 2. The latter is hooked by its hooks 13 and 14 to the wings of the cylinder 5. The hydraulic pressure in the cylinder 11 pushes its piston 12, the end of which presses on the shaft 6, thus pushing the cylinder backwards. jack and with it the hooks which drive the two wings, and thereby the cable and the back plate of the clamp.
Once the desired tightening has been obtained, the cylinder 5 and the piston 6 of the clamp are maintained in the position reached by the key 10, which is driven out with a hammer in the appropriate housing.
It is then possible to release the hydraulic device shown in FIG. 2 of its position, and use it for a new final tightening operation by fixing it on another clamp such as that shown in FIG. 1. Once the adhesive has hardened, the tension is released from all the clamps by simply driving the keys 10 out of their housing with a hammer. We can then proceed with disassembly, and free the framework thus produced.
