Tétine
La présente invention a trait à une tétine pour l'alimentation des bébés.
I1 existe des tétines constituées d'une matière souple et comportant:
1. un bout de forme générale cylindrique;
2. une partie médiane renflée;
3. une collerette annulaire débordante.
Les tétines de ce genre sont généralement fixées au biberon au moyen d'une bague filetée rigide qui entoure la collerette annulaire. Le filetage femelle de cette bague s'engage dans un filetage mâle du goulot du biberon et le serrage de la bague applique la collerette contre l'extrémité du goulot.
La tétine selon l'invention comporte une bague de fixation interne. Par rapport aux tétines renflées de type connu, elle présente un encombrement réduit. Il en est de même de la bague de fixation. Ceci offre l'avantage, d'une part, de diminuer les quantités de matières exigées pour la fabrication, ce qui influence favorablement le prix de revient, d'autre part, de faciliter le logement de la tétine et de sa bague de fixation dans un emballage stérile.
Ledit emballage stérile peut être conçu de telle sorte qu'il permette de fixer la tétine sur le goulot du biberon sans la toucher, grâce à un panneau déchirable en regard de la collerette.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une section transversale d'une tétine de type classique avec sa bague de fixation, représentées fixées à un biberon.
La fig. 2 est une section transversale d'une tétine selon l'invention avec sa bague de fixation, représentées fixées à un biberon.
La fig. 3 est une vue de profil d'une tétine selon l'invention en emballage stérile.
Au dessin, la tétine classique (fig. 1) en matière souple comporte un bout 1 de forme générale cylindrique, une partie médiane renflée 2 et une collerette annulaire débordante 3. Une bague 4 entoure la collerette et comporte un filetage apte à s'engager dans le filetage mâle correspondant du goulot 5 du biberon. La forme renflée de la tétine présente divers avantages: elle reproduit l'arrondi du sein maternel, assure un écoulement régulier et limite le passage de l'air dans le liquide aspiré. Toutefois, elle implique une bague de fixation de dimensions relativement importantes.
La tétine représentée à la fig. 2, également en matière souple, a la même forme extérieure que la tétine classique représentée à la fig. 1, avec un bout 6 quasi cylindrique et une partie renflée 7. Par contre, à la différence de la tétine classique, la tétine de la fig. 2 comporte une collerette interne 8 et à l'intérieur de la tétine se trouve une bague de fixation interne 9.
La bague 9 présente sur la face en contact avec la collerette de la tétine des bossages 10 qui assurent une meilleure fixation de celle-ci. D'autre part, cette bague comporte un rebord interne 11 qui bute contre l'extrémité 12 du goulot du biberon. Cette butée rigide limite l'écrasement de la collerette de la tétine entre la bague 9 et l'épaulement 13 du biberon, ainsi que l'effort exercé sur ce dernier. Cette disposition est particulièrement favorable et même nécessaire lorsque les parois du biberon sont minces. donc relativement faibles.
Il y a avantage à équiper la tétine décrite, aussi bien que la tétine classique, d'un dispositif permettant à l'air d'entrer dans le biberon pour remplacer le volume de liquide qui s'écoule. Dans l'exemple décrit, la face de la collerette 8 qui entre en contact avec le biberon est creusée de rainures radiales à cet effet. En variante, cette face de la collerette peut porter des nervures de même disposition, une inscription en relief, etc.
De manière générale, il y a lieu de ménager un petit orifice ou interstice pour le passage de l'air, de préférence entre la tétine et le biberon.
Les fig. 1 et 2, dessinées à la même échelle, permettent de se rendre compte de l'économie de matière réalisable, tant sur la bague de fixation que sur la collerette de la tétine. En outre, la réduction de l'encombrement général facilite le logement de la tétine dans un emballage stérile. Un exemple d'emballage de ce genre est représenté à la fig. 3. Il consiste en une enveloppe 14 de forme générale conique, en matière relativement souple, éventuellement transparente, et d'un panneau déchirable 15 en regard de la collerette avec une languette d'arrachage 16. Cette disposition permet de tenir la tétine à l'intérieur de l'emballage en pinçant la partie conique 14 de celui-ci, d'arracher le panneau déchirable 15 en tirant la languette 16, enfin de visser la tétine sur le biberon, puis de retirer l'emballage sans jamais toucher à la tétine qui reste ainsi parfaitement stérile.
La tétine et sa bague de fixation ont été réalisées en deux pièces parce que l'on exige de l'une une certaine souplesse et de l'antre une certaine résistance, mais il est clair qu'à condition de satisfaire à ces exigences, les deux parties pourraient être d'un seul tenant.

The present invention relates to a pacifier for feeding babies.
There are teats made of a flexible material and comprising:
1. a generally cylindrical end;
2. a swollen middle part;
3. an overhanging annular flange.
Nipples of this kind are generally attached to the bottle by means of a rigid threaded ring which surrounds the annular collar. The female thread of this ring engages a male thread of the neck of the bottle and the tightening of the ring applies the collar against the end of the neck.
The teat according to the invention comprises an internal fixing ring. Compared with swollen teats of known type, it has a reduced size. The same is true of the fixing ring. This offers the advantage, on the one hand, of reducing the quantities of materials required for manufacture, which favorably influences the cost price, on the other hand, of facilitating the housing of the teat and its fixing ring in sterile packaging.
Said sterile packaging can be designed in such a way that it makes it possible to fix the teat on the neck of the bottle without touching it, thanks to a tear-off panel facing the collar.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.

In the drawing, the conventional teat (fig. 1) made of flexible material comprises an end 1 of generally cylindrical shape, a swollen middle part 2 and an overhanging annular flange 3. A ring 4 surrounds the flange and has a thread able to engage. in the corresponding male thread of the neck 5 of the bottle. The swollen shape of the pacifier has various advantages: it reproduces the rounding of the maternal breast, ensures a regular flow and limits the passage of air into the aspirated liquid. However, it involves a fastening ring of relatively large dimensions.
The pacifier shown in FIG. 2, also made of flexible material, has the same external shape as the conventional teat shown in FIG. 1, with an almost cylindrical end 6 and a swollen part 7. On the other hand, unlike the conventional teat, the teat of FIG. 2 has an internal collar 8 and inside the teat there is an internal fixing ring 9.
The ring 9 has, on the face in contact with the collar of the teat, bosses 10 which ensure better fixing of the latter. On the other hand, this ring has an internal rim 11 which abuts against the end 12 of the neck of the bottle. This rigid stop limit the crushing of the collar of the teat between the ring 9 and the shoulder 13 of the bottle, as well as the force exerted on the latter. This arrangement is particularly favorable and even necessary when the walls of the bottle are thin. therefore relatively low.
It is advantageous to equip the described teat, as well as the conventional teat, with a device allowing air to enter the bottle to replace the volume of liquid which flows. In the example described, the face of the collar 8 which comes into contact with the bottle is hollowed out with radial grooves for this purpose. As a variant, this face of the collar may bear ribs of the same arrangement, an inscription in relief, etc.
In general, it is appropriate to provide a small orifice or gap for the passage of air, preferably between the teat and the bottle.
Figs. 1 and 2, drawn on the same scale, make it possible to realize the savings in material that can be achieved, both on the fixing ring and on the collar of the teat. In addition, the reduction in overall bulk makes it easier to accommodate the pacifier in sterile packaging. An example of such packaging is shown in FIG. 3. It consists of an envelope 14 of generally conical shape, of relatively flexible material, possibly transparent, and of a tear-off panel 15 facing the collar with a tear-off tab 16. This arrangement allows the teat to be held in place. 'inside the packaging by pinching the conical part 14 thereof, tear off the tear-off panel 15 by pulling the tab 16, finally screw the nipple onto the bottle, then remove the packaging without ever touching the pacifier which thus remains perfectly sterile.
The teat and its fixing ring were made in two parts because one requires a certain flexibility and a certain resistance of the other, but it is clear that, provided these requirements are met, the two parts could be in one piece.
