Method and device for multi-layer packaging of boxes
The invention is based on the object, for. B. from a filling and closing device coming chess stellagen to stack and push the stack of boxes formed in this way into a multipack.
The invention relates to a method for the multilayer packaging of boxes, e.g. B. boxes filled with welding electrodes, which are fed in layers on an inlet level, layered and pushed together into a multipack.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that a layering plate picks up the individual box layers one after the other in the inlet level and sinks them individually into levels below it, deposits them on top of one another by means of a movement parallel to the inlet level with the aid of a scraper and returns up to the inlet level, where they to pick up the next box layer again assumes its starting position above the stack of boxes, and that it only resumes after the last box layer has been deposited, which preferably remains in the loading level,
reaches under the underside of the stack of boxes and lifts it up to the level of the feed level for insertion into the satin packaging.
The device according to the invention for carrying out this method is characterized in that the layering plate is set up to reach through the stripper extending over the height of the stack to be formed in the direction of the incoming box layers and when the first box layer is put down and when the box stack is picked up a to pass through the stacking plate carrying the boxes during the layering process, which together with a horizontal movement that generates them,
on the side of the stripper $ facing away from the boxes, the first pressure cylinder can be moved in the vertical direction by a second pressure cylinder, which is also arranged on this stripper side.
The layering plate is preferably fork-shaped, while the stacking plate and the stripper preferably each have the shape of a grate. However, it is also possible to also design the stacking plate and stripper in the shape of a fork.
In the device, two vertical guide rods can be provided, which are mounted displaceably in a frame and can be moved with the aid of the second pressure cylinder, the horizontal guide rods carrying the layering plate and also the horizontal guide rods that are preferably flanged to one of the holding pieces, the horizontal movement of the Layer plate generating first Druckzytin- can wear.
The stacking plate can be arranged in a height-adjustable manner and can be adjusted with the aid of a scissor linkage via a spindle which is provided with two opposing threaded sections and moves the two scissor ends in opposite directions. With a stacking plate mounted in this way, the height of the stack can be determined and adjusted according to the number of box layers to be placed on top of one another.
Appropriately, a lower end position of the printing cylinder generating the vertical movement of the layering plate can turn in a determined manner with the aid of a light barrier which is assigned to the layering plate and can be covered by the box layers. One of two limit switches, which can be provided to switch the pressure cylinder generating the horizontal movement on and off, can switch on such a light barrier when the layering plate reaches an end position intended to accommodate the box position and switch it off again when this pressure cylinder is applied.
In this way, the downward movement of the layering plate can be precisely adapted to the advancing height of the stack and controlled so that it ends at the respective height of the upper edge of the stack of boxes.
The method and the device according to the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing show:

FIG. 5 shows the advance mechanism of the stacking plate in a sectional plan view along line b-b in FIG. 4; FIG.
Fig. 6 shows a detail;
7 is a circuit diagram.
With 1 in the drawing, the layering plate be distinguished, which is normally within the slide 2 of the boxes 3. It is fork-shaped and assigns the incoming chess division to end its free Ga. Two horizontal, parallel, cylindrical guide rods 4, which are mounted with their ends in holding pieces 5, 6, guide the part 7 of the layering plate 1, which carries the fork ends. A horizontal pressure cylinder 8 with its piston rod 9, which is flanged to the holding piece 6, engages this part 7.
The two holding stubs 5 and 6 are arranged on the ends of two vertical guide rods 10 and 11 (FIGS. 1, 3). The lower ends of these guide rods are connected to one another by a cross member 12 on which the piston rod 13 of the pressure cylinder 14 engages. The latter is held by the carrier 15, which rests on the frame 16 of the machine frame 17. The two guide bearings 18, which enclose the two vertical guide rods 10, 11 and guide them in the longitudinal direction by means of roller bearings, are also attached to this frame.
The envelope movement of the two guide rods 10, 11, d. H. the vertical movement of the layering plate 1 is effected by the pressure cylinder 14. In addition to the layering plate 1, the printing cylinder 8, which initiates the horizontal movement in the layering plate 1, also takes part in this movement.
A stop 20 associated with the machine frame and located in the path of movement of the boxes 3 is limited. their movement in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 1 and 2).
Below the layering plate 1, at a distance from the layering plate determined by the height of the stack to be stacked, is the fork-shaped stacking plate 21 (FIGS. 4 and 5). This stacking plate, which is rustproof in the exemplary embodiment, can be adjusted in its height position with the aid of the scissor linkage 22. It is therefore mounted at its four corners on cylindrical posts 23, 24, two of which, namely the longer post 23, in Füh approximately bearings 25 of the machine frame 17 in vertical
Direction are guided.
Between each of the long posts 23 and the short posts 24 there is a horizontal guide rod 26 which is held by the clamping pieces 27. Two of the sliding blocks 28 located on these guide rods 26 are articulated to the upper ends of the scissor linkage 22, wäh! r, end. the lower ends of the scissor linkage articulately attack two nuts 29 which are seated on a spindle 31 which can be rotated with the aid of the handwheel 30.
The two threaded sections on the spindle 31 have opposite pitches. You give the two nuts 29 therefore when turning the spindle 31 opposite movements and lower or raise, due to the pivotable rod arms about the axis 32, the slide. stones 28 and thus the guide rods 26 and the stacking plate 21 lying on the posts 23, 24.
The boxes 3, which are pushed onto the slide 2 at right angles to the direction of the arrow (FIG. 2), are captured by the pressure cylinder 33 located below the slide and pushes them on around the mast of the width of the box in the direction of the arrow. Five of the boxes 3, that is to say one layer of boxes, are moved by the pressure cylinder 34 located above the slide 2 in two strokes with the aid of the driver 36, which is attached to its piston rod 19 and can pivot about the horizontal axes 35,
37 pushed up to the fork-shaped layer plate 1 against the stop 20. The pressure cylinder 14, which becomes active when the boxes run up against the stop, lowers the box position down to the rust-shaped stacking plate 21, the layering plate 1 running through the stacking plate 21. A light barrier 38 (FIG. 6) assigned to the layering plate 1, which is briefly covered when the layering plate passes through the stacking plate, then stops the printing cylinder 14.
At the same time, the horizontal movement into the layering plate is effected via the horizontal pressure cylinder 8
1 initiated. The latter now moves so far to the right until it has passed under the stop 20 and the stacking plate 21 and is raised again by the printing cylinder 14 to the level of the slide 2 and by the printing cylinder 8 in its initial position over the lowered box position can be pushed back. After the next layer of boxes has been pushed onto the layering plate 1, the work cycle initiated by the boxes running up against the stop 20 is repeated.
The layering plate 1, the downward movement of which is now limited by the light barrier 3.8, only lowers down to the last layer of the box and, as described above, is pulled away to the side under the layer of the box lying on top. After the last layer of the box has been pushed on, the stratification board moves in the opposite direction.
The layering plate un seizes it, coming from below and. the grate-shaped stacking plate 21 running through the stacked box layers and lifts them up to the level of the slide 2. During this lifting movement, the stack of boxes is guided on the one hand by the stop 20 and on the other hand by the sheet metal 40. Eiln in the upper position of the stack of boxes effective pressure cylinder 39 presses the box layers into a collective pack, not shown, which is then conveyed away and thereby sealed.
By replacing the printing cylinder
34 and by adjusting the height of the stack, plate 21, the device described for layers and Ver pack different widths and different high
Stack of boxes can be used.
All pressure cylinders are acted upon by a sequence control in the sequence corresponding to the sequence of movements of the packaging device. The limit switch b9 (FIG. 7), which is actuated by the retracted piston rod 19 of the pressure cylinder 34, sends a pulse to the contactor d8, which is activated via b22 goes into latching mode, and via the break contact of the changeover contactor d4 to the impulse relay d3. The changeover contactor d4 is energized via this current surge Rslais d3 until the penultimate layer of the stratification is reached.
The now extending piston rod 19 of the pressure cylinder 34 actuates the limit switch b23 and acts on the contactor d6 via a make contact of the changeover contactor d4 and the break contact d7. The latter goes into self-holding mode via a contact of the light barrier amplifier ul and acts on the pressure cylinder 14 via the solenoid valve S 14.1.
The subsequently extending piston 13 of the pressure cylinder 14 moves the layer plate 1 downwards, the amplifier u 1, when the light barrier 38 is darkened when passing through the rust-shaped stacking plate 21, opens its contact in the self-holding circle d6.
At the same time, the light barrier amplifier u1 closes a second contact. which excites contactor d7 via a make contact of changeover contactor d4 and d8. Voltage is applied to solenoid valve S 13.2 via the contact of contactor d7 and pressure is applied to pressure cylinder 8. The piston rod 9, which is now moving in, approaches limit switch b22 in its end position and releases the self-holding of d8. The contactor d5 excited by the limit switch b22 and the closer b4 goes into self-holding mode via the limit switch b25 and actuates the solenoid valve S 14.2, which acts on the pressure cylinder 14.
The now retracting piston rod 13 lifts the layering plate 1 and switches the limit switch b25 in its end position. The limit switch b25 releases the self-holding circuit of contactor d5. This sequence of movements is repeated until the penultimate box position is reached.
If the penultimate box layer is layered and the piston rod 9 of the pressure cylinder 8 is extended into the end position to accommodate the last box layer, it actuates the limit switch b21. Since the before. If the last layer of the box darkens the light barrier 38, the reinforcing contact u1 closes and the voltage is passed via the make contact d4 to the make contact d8.
Only when the last layer of the box has reached the stop 20 and has activated the limit switch b9 does the contact d8 close. The contactor coil d7 and thus the solenoid valve S 13.2 are now connected to voltage via the closed contact d8. The latter acts on the pressure cylinder 8, which then pulls in the piston rod 9. In this phase of movement of the packaging device, the impulse relay d3 is excited by the make contact d7 and the break contact d6 and the changeover contactor d4 is switched.
The retracted piston rod 9 of the pressure cylinder, which has reached the limit switch b22, energizes the contactor d6, which actuates the solenoid valve S 14.1, via the break contacts d4 and d7. The then acted upon pressure cylinder 14 extends the piston rod 13 and moves the layering plate down until the end switch b24 is pressed. The pressure cylinder 8 is pressurized via the limit switch b24 and the closer d4, which actuate the solenoid valve S 13.1, and the piston rod 9 is extended.
Then the solenoid valve S 14.2, which is energized by the limit switch b21 actuated by the piston rod 9 via the break contact d4 and contactor contact d5, acts on the pressure cylinder 14 and retracts the piston rings 13. whereby the layering plate 1 lifts the stack of boxes up to the level of the slide 2.
After the stack of boxes has been pushed into the multipack, the layers of boxes coming in via the sliding balancer 2 are layered again in the form described above, as the button b9 applies voltage to the current impulse relay d3 via the break contact d4 and the switchover contactor d4 switches over.
