Device for cutting change and sole reinforcement threads on seamless hosiery knitting machines The previously known devices for cutting the change and sole reinforcement threads on single-cylinder seamless hosiery knitting machines all have the disadvantage that they place too few threads at the insertion and removal Cut short so that a fringe of thread ends up to 5 mm in length remains on the boundary lines of the reinforced stocking areas.
With the previous cutting devices it is not possible to get close enough to the insertion and removal points of the threads on the reinforced stocking area, so that the ends of the thread protrude much too long at the insertion and removal points.
Most of the existing cutting devices are mounted on the sinker ring or on a part of the machine in such a way that their cutting elements are guided from the outside to the inside through the needle ring to the insertion and removal points of the replacement or reinforcing threads. This type of assembly has the disadvantage that it can only be used where the needles are withdrawn and that in the event of a disturbance or inhibition in the needle retraction movement, the needles are broken off by the cutting device and the knives are damaged.
Even with such cutting devices, which are mounted on a part of the machine lying above the sinker ring, the cutting elements are not able to cut off the threads to be inserted and removed sufficiently short due to their unsuitable construction and operation.
These disadvantages are intended to be eliminated by the present invention.
The subject of the invention is a device for cutting off interchangeable and sole reinforcing threads on seamless stocking knitting machines, in which a cutting element at the bottom of a sinker that works between the dial and the weir edge holding lugs of the sinkers, the weir edge within the sinkers withdrawn by a control curve, fits snugly vertical output shaft and the bearing sleeve serving to guide it.
In the drawing, an example Ausfüh approximate form of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 is a partial view of the knitting machine in Be rich of the device mounted on it, Fig. 2 is an axial partial section through the cylinder and sinker ring, the device seen from the side FIG. 3 shows a side view of the device on a larger scale and FIG. 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV in FIG.
In the example shown of a single-cylinder seamless circular knitting machine, only the parts of the machine necessary for explaining the invention are shown, namely in Fig. 1 and 2 the cylinder with 1, the knitting needles with 2, the sinker ring with 3, the Knock-off plates with 4, the dial with 5 and the air suction pipe above this with 6.
The device 8, 9, 10, 11 for cutting the thread 24 is mounted on a console 7 which is seen on the hinged machine head. The latter has a vertical bearing sleeve 8 in which a drive shaft 9 is rotatably mounted. The latter carries a knife disk 10 at its lower end, which has cutting teeth 10 'inclined forward in the circumferential direction and works as a thread feed and cutting element with a cutting knife 11 seated at the lower end of the bearing sleeve 8.
The cutting edges 10 ″ of the cutting teeth 10 ′ are directed radially with respect to the axis 9 of the cutting disk and form an acute angle of approximately 10-20 with the cutting edge 11 ′ of the cutting knife 11 immediately before they meet, such that the teeth 10 ′ first then shear the thread with the point hitting the anvil 11 '.
The thread trimmer is mounted so that the cutting element 10, 11 engages in the space between the dial 5 and the knitting edge holding lugs 4 'of the sinkers 4 and is as close as possible to the knitting edge 12 of the stocking.
This position of the cutting device 10, 11 is ensured by a spacer 13, which is rigidly screwed to the bearing sleeve 8 via the crossbar 25, but is vertically movable in the bracket 7 and has an adjusting screw 14 for fine adjustment on the sinker ring 3.
By means of this spacer 13, the distance between the cutting element 10, 11 and the active edge support shoulders 4 ″ of the knock-off sinkers is ensured, regardless of the cylinder position This control cam 17 is installed on the inside of the guide groove 16 of the sinker ring 3, which is used to guide the control lugs 15 of the sinkers 4, and pulls the sinkers out of the working area of the cutting element.
This retraction is about 1 to 11 /., Mm and ge equips a trouble-free operation of the cutting member. A gear 18 is rotatably mounted on a protruding part 8 'of the bearing sleeve 8 at the top of the console 7 and is connected to the drive axis 9 by a collet 19. The compression spring 26 generates the necessary friction between the knives 10, 11 in order to cut the thread 24. The gear 18 meshes with a ring gear 20 of a double-crown toothed wheel 20, 21 which is rotatably mounted on an axis 22 fixedly arranged on the console 7. The ring gear 21 meshes with a drive gear 23 of the machine.
Instead of using a gear mechanism, the drive axle 9 could also be driven by a V-belt drive or a separate electric motor.
By withdrawing the sinkers in the working area of the cutting member 10, 11, it is possible to let the latter work fully on the active edge 12 of the workpiece, which makes it possible to feed both the inserting and disengaging ends of the replaceable or sole reinforcing thread 24 Cut off the edge 12 of the stocking to a length of 0.5 to 1 mm.
