Description
Viewfinder for photographic and cinematographic cameras The invention relates to a viewfinder for photographic and cinematographic cameras, with a parallax compensation device and with its setting in the viewfinder characterizing display means.
Finders of this type are known in various designs. One of these well-known constructions NEN controls, driven by the parallax compensation gear ben, via a lever mechanism, a made visible in the viewfinder field of view, compared to setting symbols adjustable mark.
The lever mechanism and the effort required for its adjustment make such arrangements more expensive.
According to another known construction, a simplification is achieved herein. Different marks are made visible in the light frame of a light frame viewfinder, depending on the setting of the light frame mask which can be moved for the purpose of parallax compensation.
This solution cannot be used for simple devices with a see-through viewfinder without bright-line reflections or for devices in which the introduction of a bright-frame mask is not possible for reasons of space.
In such cases, the parallax compensation is usually achieved in that a frame diaphragm that delimits the viewfinder view is arranged to be movable as a function of the lens adjustment movement.
According to a proposal that has become known to be matched to such a viewfinder, this movable frame panel is assigned a second fixed frame panel. Both frame panels are marked with markings. Here, too, additional construction elements and tools for producing the markings are required on two different components.
In addition to those mentioned, all these known constructions have a further disadvantage. The camera user has to use the adjustment position of the parallax compensation element to compare the position of a mark on a preselected edge of the viewfinder outlook with a position that is only recorded in his memory and corresponds to another setting. He only receives mnemonic aids in the form of symbols or numerical information for complex designs.
The object of the invention is to achieve a further simplification in the viewfinder structure and to achieve a meaningful display through which incorrect readings are largely avoided.
This object is achieved in that, according to the invention, the display means in the vicinity are arranged in the direction of the adjustment movement to correct the parallax error of opposite edges of the viewfinder frame at such a distance that they are alternately visible depending on the parallax setting.
The display means can advantageously be arranged within a fixed, the outer viewfinder view forming the frame screen and be alternately exposed or covered by moving a movable frame screen for the purpose of parallax compensation. This embodiment makes it possible for the display means at the upper edge of the picture to be visible when the setting is far, the display means at the bottom of the picture is visible when the setting is close. This is very obvious, because everyone raises their eyes to look into the distance and lowers them to look at nearby objects.
The movement to compensate for the parallax error is also usually carried out in the same way.
In the following two exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. The presentation of details that are not essential to the invention has been dispensed with in favor of a better overview. In the drawing: Fig. 1 shows a viewfinder in a first embodiment in section, Fig. 2 shows the viewfinder section with the adjoining symbol for remote when setting on fern dar, Fig. 3 on the setting on nah darbie border Viewfinder detail with the adjoining symbol for near, Fig. 4 a viewfinder in a second embodiment in section,
5 and 6 viewfinder details like FIGS. 2 and 3, as they are shown in a viewfinder according to FIG.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, a viewfinder eyepiece 2 and a transparent cover plate 3 are fixedly mounted in a camera housing 1, and a viewfinder objective lens 4 is movably mounted. For the purpose of parallax compensation, the viewfinder objective lens 4 is in gear connection with the distance setting ring 5 of the taking objective which carries a control cam 6. On the side facing the object, the viewfinder objective lens 4 has a bezel 7 into which symbols 8 and 9 are incorporated in viewing windows 10 and 11.
Small lenses 12 and 13 are assigned to the viewing windows 10 and 11 with the symbols 8 and 9 and are carried or formed by the viewfinder objective lens 4 on its side facing the viewfinder eyepiece 12.
In the setting to far according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the viewfinder objective lens 4 is brought into its upper end position. As a result, the viewing window 11 with the symbol 9 for far behind the transparent cover plate 3. The symbol 9 is visible outside the viewfinder image at its lower edge.
With the setting close (Fig. 3) the corresponding symbol 8 appears above the viewfinder image.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 6, a viewfinder is shown in which the viewfinder objective lens 4 only carries a simple frame diaphragm 14. The symbols 8 and 9 are attached to the object side, the small lenses 12 and 13 on the observer side of the transparent cover plate 3 or are formed by it itself.
In the setting to far according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the viewfinder objective lens 4 is brought into its upper end position. The symbol 9 is thus visible within the viewfinder image at its upper edge. With the setting close (Fig. 6), the corresponding symbol 8 appears within the viewfinder image at its lower edge.
In both exemplary embodiments, the viewfinder objective lens 4 is held movably. This has the advantage of a large adjustment stroke for parallax compensation. The accuracy requirements for the setting curve 6 for parallax compensation are reduced. In addition, the symbols 8 and 9 can be kept larger.
