Training device for time instrument
Devices for driving the train of an electric watch have already been produced by means of a balance acting on an anchor secured to the escape wheel. In a known device, the anchor wheel is driven, by two lifts of the anchor, by half a tooth at each half oscillation. The anchor wheel must necessarily be kept in a fixed position by a pawl or a brake after each action of these lifts. An attempt has been made to remedy this drawback by making an anchor act cooperating with two wheels meshing with each other.
in this known device the axis of rotation of the anchor is carried by a crank with limited path. The construction of the latter device is complicated and expensive.
The present invention proposes to remedy these drawbacks and relates to a drive device for a time instrument, in particular for an electric watch, comprising an anchor driven by a balance and subjected to the action of return means on limiting members. of its movement, this anchor having means for blocking and driving an escape wheel.
This device is characterized by the fact that this anchor is provided with means for pivoting and rocking its axis and with means for limiting this rocking and this pivoting, the whole being arranged so that said rocking can dep] acer the anchor relative to the plane of the escape wheel.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a top view of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a section along IT-II of FIG.
Fig. 3 is a top view of the second embodiment.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a balance 1, the plate pin 2 of which can engage between the horns 3 of an anchor 4 and which also comprises a dart 5 which engages in the corresponding notch 6 of a small plate.
The anchor 4 is asymmetric and mainly comprises two arms 7 and 8 extending on each side of the escape wheel 9, as well as a pivoting and swinging element of the anchor 10 extending perpendicular to the plane of anchor (fig. 2). In order to reduce the inertia of the anchor, the latter is made of a particularly light material, for example an aluminum alloy or a synthetic material.
Each of the arms 7 and 8 is provided with a beak 11 and 12, respectively, intended to cooperate alternately with the teeth of the escape wheel 9 depending on the position of the anchor. As will be seen below, the spout 11 is the retaining spout and the spout 12 the drive spout.
The anchor 4 is mounted between a frame 13 and a plate 14 (FIG. 2) between which the escape wheel 9 is also pivoted.
The upper end 15 of the pivoting and swinging element of the anchor 10 extending perpendicular to the plane of the anchor can pivot and oscillate in a bearing 16, while in its lower part an oblong opening 17 is provided. in which engages a pivot 18 integral with the frame 13. The opening 17 and the pivot 18 form the members for limiting the sway of the anchor. The members for limiting the pivoting of the anchor consist of a pin 19 integral with the anchor and engaging in a hole 20 made in the frame 13.
The arm 7 of the anchor carries, aligned with the dart 5 and the axis of the pivot 18, a pin 21 against which the end 22 of a U-shaped pulling spring 23 rests, the other end of which 24 presses on another pin secured to the frame 13.
This arrangement makes it possible to have a pulling spring with very little friction.
The movement of the device described so far can be broken down into four positions corresponding to the indices a, b, c, d of the figures.
In the position shown in solid lines in the drawing, the various elements are in position a. The driving spout 12 is engaged between the teeth of the wheel 9. When the plate pin 2 drives the anchor in the direction of the arrow f (driving direction), first of all the pin 19 abuts against the upper part of the opening 20, in position b. During this pivoting movement, the drive spout 12 moves and comes to occupy position b, by advancing the wheel by one tooth.
The balance 1 continuing its movement in the direction of arrow f, the anchor is driven until the oblong opening 17 of the element 10 comes into abutment on the pivot 18, in position c. As the upper part of element 10 can oscillate in the circular opening of bearing 16, moving element 10 from position b to position c causes the anchor to sway, moving the anchor relative to the plan of the wheel 9, as shown in phantom in FIG. 2. In this position c, the retaining spout 11 engages between the teeth of the wheel 9 while the driving spout 12 disengages therefrom, coming to occupy a position outside the plane of the wheel, due to of the anchor sway.
The anchor is maintained in this position for the remainder of the free travel of the balance.
During the return movement of the balance, the plate pin 2 comes into contact and then drives the anchor in the opposite direction of the arrow f, the various elements of the anchor are driven into position d, in which the beak of drive 12 is located above the wheel 9 and in which the retaining spout It is engaged between the teeth of the wheel 9, then in position a in which the drive spout 12 is again in the plane of the wheel 9 and engaged between the teeth of this wheel while the nozzle 11 is in the inactive position: the cycle can thus start again.
This device therefore makes it possible to drive the escapement wheel by one tooth per period of the balance wheel, which makes it possible to reduce the reduction between the escape wheel and the rest of the train, without however creating an imbalance in the isochronism of the balance, since during the dead alternation (positions c and d) we must reverse the anchor and overcome the resistance of the pulling spring.
The device described is especially suitable for balances receiving their driving electric impulse before neutral. In fact, the driving force and the winding of the pulling spring are mainly given before this point. This correspondence between the impulse and the drive also favors the isochronism of the regulating system.
In addition, as we have already seen, the escape wheel is always blocked, since there is always one of the two slats of the anchor engaged in its teeth.
The device shown in FIG. 3 operates on the same principle. The anchor 104 is provided with horns 103 between which engages the plate pin 102 of the balance. The anchor also comprises two nozzles 111 and 112 respectively for retaining and driving the escape wheel 109 and is balanced by a protuberance 107 acting as a counterweight.
The pivoting of the anchor is limited by two pins 119 and 120 fixed to the frame and its swing by an oblong opening 118b made in the board of the anchor and into which penetrates a pin 118 integral with the frame.
The return means consist of a permanent magnet 123 integral with the anchor located between two soft iron pins 122 and 124 connected from below the frame to close the magnetic field, these pins being arranged symmetrically with respect to the passing axis. by the axis of the pin 118 and the axis of rotation of the balance shaft 101.
As a variant, one could provide an anchor of a general shape different from that described, but making it possible to retain the various advantages of the device forming the subject of the invention. For example, the pivoting members of the anchor could consist of a fork integral with the anchor between the teeth of which a pin fixed to the frame engages with play.
