Die Waschmaschine nach der Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die vollwandig ausgebildete und von keinem Wasserbadmantel umgebene Trommel auf Lagern gelagert ist, die während des Betriebes eine Veränderung der Neigung der Trommelachse gestatten; dass auf einer Stirnseite der Trommel mindestens eine Frischwasserleitung und eine Umlaufwasserleitung in dieselbe einmünden;
Washing machine and method for its operation The invention relates to a washing machine with a rotatably mounted drum driven by an electric motor, which is supplied with the laundry on one end face and leaves the same washed and rinsed on the other end face. In known washing machines of this type, the mostly perforated drum is arranged in a solid jacket in which a water bath is maintained in which the drum is immersed.
The drum, optionally subdivided into several compartments with ring-shaped ribs, has a fixed inclination with respect to the horizontal, so that the laundry is further conveyed in it by gravity. The present invention aims to allow the washing process to be better adapted to the different types of laundry.
The washing machine according to the invention is characterized in that the full-walled drum, which is not surrounded by a water bath jacket, is mounted on bearings which allow the inclination of the drum axis to be changed during operation; that at least one fresh water line and one circulating water line open into the same on one end face of the drum;
that on the other end face of the drum, a container is arranged in which what water can escape from the drum, and that a pump is arranged in the course of the circulating line extending from this container. Preferably, the electric motor is reversible and the drum has one or more ribs which have an axial conveying effect on the laundry, the direction of which depends on the direction of rotation of the motor.
The invention also relates to a method for operating such a washing machine. This method is characterized by the fact that the inclination of the drum axis and / or the direction of rotation of the electric motor are automatically changed at times according to a selectable program.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically, while Figs. 2 and 3 show a detailed variant schematically in longitudinal and cross-section. The washing machine shown in Fig. 1 has a full-walled drum 1 which is provided on the front with two floors 2 and 3, in which an inlet and an outlet opening 4 and 5 is provided for the laundry.
A downwardly inclined, lower end 6 of a laundry supply channel 7 protrudes through the entrance opening 4 a little into the interior of the drum 1, between this end 6 and: the edge of the opening 4 there is a large game. The emerging from the outlet opening 5 laundry passes through a slide 8 or the like. B. in a basket or on a conveyor belt. On the inside of the drum 1 ver runs a helical rib 9, the slope of which is greatly exaggerated in the drawing for the sake of simplicity.
The drum 1 rests near its ends on two support roller bearings 10a and 10b, of which only a single support roller 11a or 11b is shown exactly under Trom mel 1, although of course each bearing extends over a certain part of the lower circumference of the drum 1 extends, with at least one and preferably several support rollers are provided on each side of the drum. The bearing 10a or 10b is mounted on a piston 12a or 12b, which is displaceable in a cylinder 13a or 13b, which stands on a foot 14a or 14b.
By not presented hydraulic means of a known type, the pistons 12a and 12b can be raised and lowered independently and steplessly, as indicated by the double arrows 15a and 15b.
A support 1_6 surrounding the drum 1 in a semicircular (or circular) shape is mounted on the output-side piston 12b, on which an electric motor 17, which may include a reduction gear, is attached, which rotates the drum 1 via pulleys 18 and endless belts 19 . It can be seen that with this arrangement, raising or lowering the piston 12b does not affect the tension of the belts 19.
A fresh water line 20 protrudes through the outlet opening 5 into the drum 1, to be precise approximately up to its center. Another line 21, which is used to guide bleaching agents and acidic agents, also protrudes through the outlet opening 5 into the drum 1, but only slightly; the same applies to a line 22 with which circulating water can be introduced into the drum 1. The circulation line 22 begins at an overflow container 23 arranged on the inlet side, into which an outer flange 24 provided at the inlet end of the drum 1, which z.
B. may consist of one piece with the bottom 2. In the course of the circulation line 22 there is a circulation pump 25 and a flow heater 26.
Between the flange 24 and a wall 28 of the overflow container 23 which is perpendicular to the axis 27 of the drum 1 and which wall is provided with a circular segment-shaped opening for the passage of a corresponding part of the drum, an arc-shaped seal 29 is arranged, which is preferably is attached to the wall 28 so that it does not participate in the movement of loading when the input end of the drum 1 is raised or lowered. However, it would of course also be possible to attach the seal 28 to the flange 24.
The bottom 2 has a ring of output holes 30 through which water located in the drum 1 can overflow into the overflow container 23. The latter has an overflow opening 31 which is connected to a drain line 33 via an overflow line 32. The latter is connected to the circulation line 22 via a drain line 34, with a drain valve 35 being arranged in the course of this drain line 34, through the opening of which the circulating water can be drained.
The drain valve 35 is preferably an electrovalve and electrovalves are also arranged along the lines 20 and 21 in order to be able to control the washing process automatically according to a predetermined, selectable program.
The time it takes for the laundry supplied through the channel 7 to get through the drum 1 to the chute 8 can, depending on the type and degree of soiling of the laundry, adjust the inclination of the drum with the aid of the hydraulic cylinders 13a and 13a 13b can be changed. If the speed of the motor 1.7 can be changed, the cycle time of the laundry can also be influenced by changing it, namely because of the conveying effect of the ribs 9.
In general, however, you will forego regulating the motor speed, but provide the same with a reversing switch that its direction of rotation, and thus the direction of rotation of the drum 1, can be temporarily reversed, and the laundry then - depending on the inclination of the drum axis - from the Rib 9 is promoted backwards, or with a very strong forward inclination of the drum 1 only moves very slowly forward. If a brief reverse conveyance is desired, the effect of reversing the direction of rotation is supported in that: the drum axis 27 is inclined backwards.
The laundry then passes through the drum in a so-called pilgrimage step.
Detergents are expediently supplied through the channel 7 with the laundry. Program control ensures that the circulating water conveyed by the pump 25 is drained through the drain valve 35 and that sufficient rinsing water is introduced through the line 21 at the appropriate time. Likewise, who also supplied bleach and acidic agents. Furthermore, the temperature of the circulating water is regulated by thermostatic regulation of the flow heater 26 to a value corresponding to the type of laundry.
You can optionally dispense with the height adjustment speed of one or the other of the two bearings 10a and 10b. In general, according to the embodiment shown, you will be content to give the drum axis 27 only small inclinations, it should also be noted that the support rollers 11a, 11b must be made somewhat spherical at their periphery of the maximum inclination.
If you want to provide large inclinations of the drum axis 27, you have to ensure a corresponding pivotability of the drum bearings about axes transverse to the drum 1, especially if these bearings include a relatively large part of the drum periphery or the entire periphery.
Instead of a single rib 9 extending along the entire drum 1, several relatively short ribs can be provided which are inclined to the drum axis 27 in such a way that they have an axial conveying effect on the laundry when the drum 1 rotates exercise.
The drum can also have a section without conveyor ribs. FIG. 2 shows a schematic longitudinal section of such a drum, while FIG. 3 shows a cross section through the same according to line III-111 of FIG. The storage of this drum, also designated by 1, its drive and the line system are the same as in the case of FIG. 1 and therefore not shown. In the course of the circulation line (22, FIG. 1), not shown, there is only the pump (25, FIG. 1) but no water heater.
The heat required to heat the washing liquor is supplied to it by injecting steam into a section 36 of the drum 1 without a conveyor rib. The section 36 is bounded by two annular ribs 37a and 37b and is hen with three longitudinal ribs 38 verses that are slightly lower than the annular ribs 37a and 37b and serve to take the laundry 39 indicated in Figure 3 in rotation.
In the vicinity of the inlet-side annular rib 37a, the drum 1 is provided in section 36 with a ring of steam inlet holes 40 which, as the drum 1 rotates, successively occur in front of a hole 41 which is provided in a semicircular slide 42 which is located on the lower periphery the drum 1 slides and serves to seal the steam supply.
The drum 1 is at the entry holes 40 of a fixed, annular housing 43 vice ben, the between the housing and drum before existing game 44 is large enough to allow the Neigungsän changes of the drum axis 27 as in the case of FIG. Two outer flanges 45 provided on the side of the slide 42 on the drum 1 are sealed at 46 on the housing 43 without preventing small changes in height of the drum 1 with respect to the stationary housing 43.
In order to keep the slide 42 in contact with the drum 1 when the height of the drum 1 changes, and at the same time to prevent it from being entrained in rotation, the slide 42 is fastened to the housing 43 via resilient supports 47.
A steam supply line 48, in the course of which there is a solenoid valve 49, is inserted at the lowest point of the housing 43 via a seal 50 and inserted into the opening 41 of the sliding ring 42 via a further seal 51, but without being firmly connected to the latter to be. The Elek troventil 49, as well as the aforementioned Elektroven valve 35 can of course be of any type, and z.
B. comprise a pneumatically or hydraulically actuated main valve which is controlled by an electrically actuatable control valve. At the top of the housing 43, a steam discharge line 52 is connected to the same.
The steam is preferably supplied in pulses to the washing liquor 53 located in the drum section 36 by thermostatically regulated, brief opening of the valve 49 and heats it up. Since the conveyor ribs 9 are absent in the section 36, the laundry 39 remains in the same for a relatively long time, so that it forms the main washing zone.
Vapors of steam escaping from the hot water 53 pass through the holes 40 on the upper half of the drum periphery into the housing 43 and are sucked off through the line 52 so that they do not condense in the same. Condensation and any water leakage 54 collect in the lower part of the housing 43, to which a return line 55 is connected; in the course of which a pump 56 is located. Like the lines 20-22 of FIG. 1, the line opens into the drum 1 through the opening 5 and is likewise not shown in FIG.
The temperature sensor of the thermostat (not shown), preferably provided for regulating the steam inlet valve 49, can expediently be arranged in the housing 43, and z. B. be immersed in condensation and leakage water 54, the difference between the temperature of this water 54 and that of the washing liquor 53 is empirically taken into account. Instead, the temperature sensor can also be installed in the circulation line 22 (FIG. 1).
Instead of the seal 29 shown in FIG. 1, a labyrinth seal can also be provided between the flange 24 and the container wall 28. Furthermore, it is possible to mount the overflow container 23 on the piston 12a so that it follows the movement of the inlet end of the drum 1, which of course has to be taken into account when designing or connecting the lines 22 and 32. Similarly, the housing 43 of FIG. 2 can also be mounted on a traverse attached to the piston 12a and 12b of FIG. 1, so that it does not experience any change in height with respect to the drum 1.
