Description
Elastic bed and sealing element for glass panes The invention relates to a. elastic bed and sealing element in rod form for glass panes in glazing, especially skylights of buildings, which forms the bed for the pane on the support means or is inserted between two panes for the purpose of keeping the distance.
There are rigid foam rods made of polystyrene known that WUR arranged between two panes of glass parallel and transverse to the rungs in the form of a frame and the purpose of elastic spacing and sealing of the cavity closed by the glass panes.
With a relatively high resistance to deformation, however, such rigid foams have little elastic deformability, so that they do not adapt to the unevenness of the glass panes.
Also known are rubber seals with a core made of a sticky paste-like sealing compound which can be plastically deformed up to the flow limit. In the wall of the rubber hoses there are through-holes through which the sealing compound can exit under pressure and is glued to the glass panes and the support.
In the case of sealing tapes of this type, however, when they are exposed to pressure and heat, the viscosity can decrease to such an extent that the sealing material can flow out completely. For this reason, elastic-plastic hoses of this type are also not easy to keep in stock.
Bed and sealing elements for glass panes are now to be created that can be stored and transported without restriction and that can be relocated permanently in the simplest possible way.
The purpose of the invention is fulfilled by elastic rods, preferably rigid foam rods, which are provided with at least one groove on the support side, in wel che a permanently plastic, sticky sealing compound is embedded tet.
For most applications, this arrangement will be made on two opposite sides of the preferably square rods, so that a tight seal is provided.
An excellent connection with the glass panes and the support can be achieved if the sealant strip protrudes. To protect the protruding sealing compound strip, a cover with removable straps, e.g. B. made of plastic. For this purpose it can also be provided to arrange the side flanks of the rods with grooves for receiving the protruding sealing compound strips of adjacent rods. With suitable dimensions of these channels can u. U. the intended film cover can be dispensed with.
Rubber-elastic materials, but preferably rigid foams, are used as the material for the rods. Silicone pastes, putties, bituminous masses can be used as plastic sealing compounds.
Hard foam rods in particular show the intended effect. When loaded, plastic-elastic compression occurs, in which the sealing compound is pressed out of the channel into the support surface and clings to the glass and other supports. Over time, only the elastic compression has an effect.
The drawing shows two application examples of rigid foam rods made according to the invention and an embodiment of the same.
Fig. 1 is a flat glass skylight, Fig. 2 shows the sectional view of a roof glazing, Fig. 3 shows a bundle of the rigid foam rods according to the invention in a transport arrangement, Fig. 4 is a modification of the embodiment according to Fig. 2 In Fig. 1 the flat roof with 1 , the light opening of the roof with 2 and the frame over this errich ended on the roof with 3, which carries the glass pane 4.
The rigid foam strip 5 designed according to the invention is provided with grooves 5a, in which a plastic sealing material 6, here. PVC paste with silica, embedded as a filler. Due to the contact pressure of the glass pane 4 held with the holding means 7, part of the PVC paste was pressed out of the groove 5a as a result of defor mation of the rigid foam strip 5, so that the rigid foam strip 5 glued to the glass 4 and the support 3a of the curb 3 over the entire bearing surface is.
The roof glazing according to FIG. 2 consists of the rung 11, from which the glass panes 14 and 15 are clamped with the help of the support rail 12 and the screw 13 against the elastic bed 17 of the rung. The rigid foam strip 16 serves as a spacer for the glass panes 14 and 15, as well as for sealing the glass pane cavity 18. Here, 19 denotes the sealing compound strips.
As can be seen in Fig. 3, in addition to rectangular grooves 21 in the rigid foam strips 20 and since Liche grooves 22 can be provided. These are used for storage and transport, the above plastic sealing strips 23 as protection. Then only the outer sealing strips need to be covered with foil strips 24.
The H-shaped metal rail 25, which is arranged in accordance with FIG. 4 and emits the elastic element, has approximately the same effect as the arrangement of the rigid foam strips 16 in FIG. The sealing compound strips 26 are inserted into the molded grooves 25a.
