Description
Plate-shaped thermal insulation element The present invention is a plate-shaped thermal insulation element, which z. B. for thermal insulation of components, in particular for use in connection with installation equipment, such as cables, etc. Ver.
The element according to the present invention is characterized in that it is or has such a plate which has longitudinal and transverse grooves on at least one side.
In the accompanying drawings, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown. The insulating element shown in Fig. 1 consists of a plate which is provided on its upper side with U-shaped longitudinal grooves 2 and with transverse grooves 3 running perpendicular thereto. The grooves extend over the entire extent of the plate.
The element according to FIG. 2 corresponds on its upper side to the element according to FIG. 1; it additionally has longitudinal grooves 2 'on its underside and possibly also transverse grooves that cannot be seen in the drawing.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the insulating element consists of a relatively thin material layer 4, which was given a wave shape by deformation in such a way that longitudinal grooves 2 and transverse grooves 3 are present on the upper side. The elevations delimiting the grooves form cusps 5 of approximately the same height, the underside is formed by a network of intersecting groove lower edges.
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 corresponds to that according to FIG. 3. In addition, this embodiment has a cover layer 6 through which the grooves 2 and 3 are closed at the top. Through a bottom layer 7, the entire insulating element together with the top layer 6 is given the shape of a board. This board can be completed to a half or completely closed element by attaching end pieces 8 that have a U shape.
The parts 6, 7 can be glued to the cusps 5 and the lower edges of the grooves, and the part 8 can be glued to the parts 6 and 7. The insulating element is suitable for all insulation purposes but especially for use in floors, ceilings and walls of rooms in which installation facilities are to be isolated, such as water, gas or electrical lines. These lines find place in the grooves of the Ele mentes; this reduces the dimensions of the components to be insulated compared to those of flat insulation elements.
The arrangement of longitudinal and transverse grooves made light the use of the elements in angularly laid th lines, as z. B. in heating pipes of Hei tongues, in particular of radiant heating occurs.
The elements can be made of any insulating material; Synthetic resins are particularly suitable. To increase the insulating capacity, the element can have a heat-reflecting coating.
If the insulation elements have to be fireproof and moisture-proof, glass wool or rock wool can be used with the addition of an adhesive.
By applying a coating z. B. a silicone coating, the components can be made water-repellent and fire-resistant.
