Office chair The present invention relates to an office chair, comprising a seat fixed to a frame and a backrest fixed to a support in an adjustable manner, characterized in that said support can oscillate about a horizontal axis located to the height of said frame, the end of the support located below said axis having a bent part, the end of which is fixed to a spring held by integral means of said frame and normally compressed by said bent portion, against said frame.
The appended drawing represents, by by way of example, an embodiment of the chair according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevation view. Fig. 2, an exploded view.
Fig. 3 shows a detail of the elastic return device of the backrest, and Figs. 4a and 4b show a detail of the device for fixing the backrest to its support.
The chair shown has four legs 1, 2, 3 and 4, formed by flat-oval tubes joined at the lower end of the 'a vertical square tube 5 to form a support inside which penetrates a cylindrical axis 6 supporting a frame- formed of a longitudinal U, iron, welded to axis 6, and at the ends of which are fixed two transverse bars 8 </ B > and 9 on which the seat 10. is screwed
12axis 6 can slide and rotate in the vertical square tube 5.
The height of the seat in relation to the ground can be adjusted by a clamping ring 15 mounted on the axis 6, which abuts on the surface of a plate 12 made up of killing the upper end of the vertical square tube 5.
The clamping ring 15 is secured vertically from bottom to top by a lug 23 integral with the square tube 5 and which comes s' engage in a groove made in the clamping ring 15. The backrest 16 is articulated and fixed in an adjustable manner on a support 17 consisting of an oval-flat bent tube capable of oscillating about an axis 18 mounted between the two side walls of a U 19 iron whose end is cut to pass the support 17.
