Device on a multi-cell accumulator for filling a plurality of cells The invention relates to a device on a multi-cell accumulator for filling a plurality of cells with liquid by means of the simplest possible means in all cells to have the same fill level, which is necessary for the proper functioning of the accumulator is essential to be achieved.
There are different versions of Füllvorrich lines known which aim to facilitate the control of the liquid inflow and the filling level of a multi-cell accumulator. However, these Vorrichtun conditions have the disadvantage that they contain moving parts, such as floats, valves and seals, which are impaired in their function by wear and soiling, and can then no longer fulfill their task. In addition, these devices allow only a limited number of one to three cells to be filled at the same time, with some of the stoppers closing the cells having to be removed and reinserted.
The invention aims to create a filling device that fulfills its task without me mechanically moving parts and allows simultaneous filling of a large number of accumulator cells from a single filling point without the need to remove the stoppers of the individual cells . The waiver of moving parts affects the utilization of hydrostatic laws to which the filling medium is subjected as a result of the line arrangement.
The filling device according to the invention is characterized in that each cell is connected to a space which closes off the cell inlet to the outside and is set up to receive a liquid supply, and the spaces of a plurality of cells are connected to one another and to a common filling point , with a tube protruding into each cell from the top up to the level of the liquid target level, which is in connection with the atmosphere for venting during filling, and the lower end of which, when immersed in the liquid, closes the cell air and thus terminates the Causing filling.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the spaces connected to the central filling point can be enclosed by a filling plug arranged on each cell cover, which is connected via openings in the plug bottom with the cell interior, and through the space can expediently be in the individual cell protruding vent pipe, the upper edge of which rests on the cover of the plug, which is provided with an air outlet opening.
In a further embodiment, the filling point A can advantageously be designed as a container with an overflow pipe arranged within the container, the distance from the lower edge of the filling plug to the upper edge of the overflow pipe being smaller than the total length of the vent pipe, whereby the hydrostatic equilibrium of the in the Columns of liquid that form on the line and in the ventilation pipe when the target level is reached, uniform filling of all cells to a predetermined target level can be achieved without overfilling a cell.
A particular advantage of the invention is that all cells connected to the filling point are filled at the same time, but overflow of the individual cells is excluded, since a special overflow is provided at the filling point itself.
It is also of particular advantage that in a further embodiment of the invention, the cup-like filling container made of preferably transparent material at a height that corresponds to the prescribed level height within the individual cell, can have a marking through which the completion of the filling process can be recognized is when the liquid in the filling container can no longer be observed to sink. The filling container itself can also be arranged from within the accumulator.
An exemplary embodiment of the filling device according to the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing. 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of an accumulator with two filling points for 20 cells each, FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through the filling container and the upper part of a cell with the stopper closing off the cell and the line connecting these parts, FIG 3 a view of the filling container according to arrow direction A.
According to FIG. 2, the filling device has a cup-like filling container 2 made of transparent material with an inlet connector 3 and an outlet connector 4. Inside the container, an overflow pipe 5 is arranged, and a lid 6 with a vent hole closes the container from above. A control mark 7 at the top of the overflow pipe is attached to the container wall.
A distribution line 8 connects the filling container with the filling plugs of the individual cells. Each filling stopper has a stopper bottom 9 screwed into the cell cover with the ventilation pipe 10, which together form a part made of acid-resistant material such as polystyrene or hard PVC or other suitable acid-resistant plastics or plastic copolymers.
In the stopper bottom 9 be there are through-holes 11, the total flow cross-section of which is the same as that of the feed pipe 12 opening into the obe Ren part of the stopper. A cover 13 made of elastic and acid-proof material, e.g. Polyethylene or suitable elastomers by means of a beaded edge which engages over a correspondingly formed beaded edge of the stopper base, turned upside down, whereby an airtight seal of the stopper interior is created.
This cover has a bore 14 for air to exit on the central axis as an extension of the vent pipe.
The height dimensions Hl and H indicate the essential structural parameters for the mode of operation, whereby Hl may be less than or at most equal to H2.
The mode of operation of the filling device is as follows: The liquid first flows directly from the inlet to the outlet nozzle of the cup-like container and through the distribution pipes to the individual filling plugs, where it reaches the cells through the holes in its bottom. The air inside the cell can escape through the vent pipe, but only until the liquid level has risen to the lower edge of the vent pipe and this begins to submerge.
The air cushion that then forms above the liquid level prevents the level from rising further, but transfers the pressure of the liquid column located above the stopper bottom with the effect that the liquid column only rises further in the vent pipe, creating a liquid column of the same height as above Adjusts stopper bottom, which is in hydrostatic equilibrium with the aforementioned liquid column above the stopper bottom.
According to this equilibrium position, the drawing shows that under the condition Hl <H, a level rise up to at most the upper edge of the overflow pipe 5 can take place, but overflow of the liquid at the stopper is excluded. As soon as the liquid can no longer sink in the cup-like filling container, the filling process ends.
