Fig. 1 einen Grundriss der Vorrichtung zum Verdichten von pulverigem Gut;
Fig. 2 einen Axialschnitt nach Linie II-II in Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 eine Vorderansicht eines Absaugschwertes und
Method and device for compacting powdery material in a container
The invention relates to a method and a device for compacting powdery material in a container. When filling dosed amounts of a powdery material, e.g. B. flour or washing powder, in bags on a packaging machine, it is desirable to compress the loosely filled goods before closing the bag. Until now, this was done by shaking or
Vibrating the bag for a period of time. The bags either ran through a so-called vibrating section of a conveyor belt or, after filling, they were vibrated on site for a certain period of time and then fed to a further station to be closed. The vibrating process thus either required a relatively large amount of space on the machine or an undesirably long period of time, which had an effect on production.
The aim of the invention is to provide a method and a device to compact the pulverulent material faster and better.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that an air-permeable member connected to a suction air source is introduced into the filled material and that the air present in the powdery material is sucked off.
The device for carrying out the method is characterized in that containers with powdery material to be compressed are fed on a conveying device to a suction device which has at least one suction blade which can be inserted into the powdery material of the bag and which is periodically connected to a suction air source. A plurality of suction swords are preferably arranged on a rotating drum which is arranged coaxially to a deflection wheel for the conveying means.
A preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a plan view of the device for compacting powdery material;
FIG. 2 shows an axial section along line II-II in FIG. 1,
Fig. 3 is a front view of a suction sword and
4 shows a schematic representation of the suction and compressed air supply of the device.
On a conveyor chain 1, bags 2 open at the top are fed to a deflecting wheel 3 at regular intervals. The bags 2 are filled with loosely powdered material, e.g. B. filled with flour or washing powder.
A drum 4 is arranged coaxially with the deflection wheel 3 and rotates around the axis 5 at the same speed as the deflection wheel 3. On the circumference of the drum 4, eight guide tracks are arranged parallel to the axis 5, each of which consists of two rods 6 which are firmly connected to the drum 4 at both ends. A carriage 7 is slidably mounted on each pair of rods 6. Each carriage 7 carries a guide roller 8 which engages in a curved path 9. This is connected to the resting foot 10 of the device and extends over the entire circumference of the same. It is shaped such that it gives each slide 7 a lifting movement along the rod pairs 6 during the rotation of the drum 4. A suction sword 12 is mounted on a pivot axis 11 on each slide 7. Its front part 12a, which dips into the powdery material of the bag 2, is permeable to air.
Its interior is connected via a connector 13 to a hose line 14, the other end of which is connected to a connector 15 which opens into a bore 16 of a hub 17. The hub 17 rotates with the drum 4. It is covered by a stationary cover 18 into which a line 19 of a vacuum pump opens. In addition to the line 19, two compressed air lines 20, 21 (see FIG. 1) open into the cover, of which the line 20 is connected to a compressed air source of 0.5 atmospheres and the line 21 is connected to one of approximately 5 atmospheres. The hub 17 forms with the cover 18 a control slide for the temporal distribution of the vacuum and the compressed air on the suction swords during the rotation of the drum 4. The vacuum line 19 opens into a slot 22 arranged in the cover 18, which extends over an angle of slightly more as 90 "extends.
The compressed air lines 20 and 21, on the other hand, open into very small slots so that the compressed air supply to the suction blade, the purpose of which will be explained later, is limited to an angle of a few degrees.
Each suction blade 12 is connected to an arm 23 which extends beyond the pivot axis 11 and which carries a roller 24 at its free end. The suction sword with the arm 23 is normally held in the normal position shown in FIG. 2 by a compression spring 26. It has proven to be useful to give the suction swords a short shaking movement at the beginning of the extension from the powdery material. This is done by a curve piece 25 with a corrugated leading edge, on which the roller 24 runs past.
The suction swords can, as FIG. 3 shows, be provided on part of their side walls with a metal mesh 32 made of very thin wire, a so-called weave. But they can also be made of porous ceramic material. In any case, the pores of the walls should be smaller than the diameter of the particles of the powdery material so that it is not sucked out of the bags.
4 shows schematically the supply of the device with vacuum and compressed air. An electric motor 27 drives a vacuum pump 28 and a compressor 29 at the same time. The vacuum pump is connected to the connection 19 via an air chamber 30. The compressor supplies compressed air at approximately 5 atmospheres and is connected directly to connection 20 and via a pressure reducing valve 31, which reduces the pressure to 0.5 atmospheres, to connection 21.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: When a bag 2 with powdery material enters, the suction phase begins at the same time as a suction sword 12 is lowered, ie. H. the suction blade is connected to the vacuum source. The suction phase is labeled A in FIG. 1 and extends over an angle of rotation of the drum 4 of approximately 115 ". When the suction sword 12 is immersed in the powdery material, a plug of powdery material forms on the porous part of the sword Lifting of the suction sword 12 is released again, the suction sword is given a shaking movement by the curved piece 25, while a short burst of compressed air of 0.5 atm is given into the suction sword at the same time. This phase is designated in Fig. 1 with B and extends only over about 10 angles of rotation.
The suction sword is now raised. If its porous part is above the level of powdery material but is still inside the bag, a short burst of compressed air of 5 atmospheres is given into the suction sword so that any powder adhering to the porous surface of the sword is blown away. This phase is labeled C in Fig. 1 and extends over 10-15 angles of rotation. The suction blade is then raised over the bag and rotated further, whereupon it performs a new work cycle.
