Apparatus for producing photographic reproductions, in particular with subdued daylight and / or artificial light. The invention relates to an apparatus for producing photographic reproductions, in particular in subdued daylight and / or artificial light.
Devices of various designs for the production of photographic reproductions and enlargements are already known in which the enlargement system consists of a light source, a condenser, a negative carrier and a projection lens, from which the image of the transilluminated negative on the scale of the set enlargement is then known comes to the illustration on the copiable material held on a support. Commercially available incandescent lamps and normal chlorine-silver paper for copying were used as the light source.
The disadvantage of this known device when using an incandescent lamp and normal chlorine silver paper is, above all, that the work has to take place constantly in darkened rooms with little red and green light, which leads to increased physical and physical health, especially when working for a long time leads to psychological stress for the persons involved.
In addition, working in the dark room makes it difficult to check whether the correct exposure has been selected and whether the development time has been measured correctly, because the result is only visible after the exposed copies have been fixed. In addition, relatively long exposure, development, fixing and washing times are necessary, the photographic paper used must be relatively strong and its gelatin layer must have a high silver content.
In the meantime, in addition to the standard incandescent lamps, so-called high-pressure mercury lamps for ultraviolet radiation (UV) with a power consumption of 50-500 W have been developed for lighting purposes, which, under certain conditions, are also suitable for use as a light source in magnifying devices. In addition, one has also dealt with the production of photographic copier material for enlargements, which is made sensitive by the treatment of chemical solutions and, because of its low sensitivity to visible light, is also intended to enable enlargement, development in an illuminated instead of a dark room.
However, all these proposals have not found the desired entry in practice, which was mainly due to it, because in the previously known magnifying devices neither the use of high-pressure mercury lamps instead of incandescent lamps nor the use of copy material with low sensitivity to visible light alone and in combination is not yet sufficient to allow photographic reproductions and enlargements in an economic manner with subdued daylight and / or artificial light in the design of the known optical magnification systems.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device for the production of photographic reproductions which, while avoiding the disadvantages of the known devices and methods, with a simple structural design and simple operation, results in an economical, time-saving and cost-saving production of photographic reproductions with subdued daytime and / or artificial light, a high-pressure mercury lamp with UV radiation and a power in the range of 50 watts as well as a copy material based on silver nuclei being used as the light source.
The device is characterized by a high-pressure mercury lamp with UV radiation, which is mounted transversely to the optical axis of the enlargement system and can be adjusted in parallel and centric directions, whereby between the high-pressure mercury lamp and the negative or
Film, a two-part condenser that is permeable to UV rays in the range of approximately 300-400 nm is arranged and a projection lens that is permeable to UV rays in the range of approximately 300-400 nm is provided and the same is arranged for the condenser and the high-pressure mercury lamp,
that their focal point is shown behind the lens plane.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, instead of a two-part condenser consisting of three spherical-plano-convex lenses, a condenser permeable to UV radiation in the range of approximately 300-4.00 nm with two lenses made of normal glass can be arranged.
One of the lenses is planar-spherical and is assigned to the high pressure mercury lamp on the plane side, while the other lens is separated from this lens by an air gap and is made to be spherical and planar-convex and is assigned to the negative on the plane side.
According to the combination set out below, a high-pressure mercury lamp for UV radiation with a low power of only 50 W is preferably used as the light source.
Since both the condenser system and the projection lens are permeable to UV rays in the range of 300-400 nm and, on the other hand, a copy material that is highly sensitive to these UV rays is used, this means that the areas of spectral emission of the high pressure Mercury lamp and the spectral sensitivity of the copy material overlap favorably.
This has the advantage that the high-pressure mercury lamp requires little power consumption, that the enlargement system and the negative do not heat up much, as well as short exposure times during the copying process.
Since a copier material with a steep gradation curve can be used, which is almost completely insensitive to the colors yellow and completely insensitive to orange and red, copying is possible in the work room in dim daylight or incandescent lamp or fluorescent lamps without a filter.
The spectral range used is between approximately 300 and 400 nm. It is therefore narrower than with the previously common magnification systems. This means that color errors in the lens have less of an effect so that cheap objects can be used for projection. Because of the small size of the focal spot produced by the high-pressure mercury lamp and the image of the same below the lens plane, near-axis areas of the lens are preferably used.
This results in low opening errors in the lens and, for this reason, cheap lenses can be used for projection.
Further details of the invention are set forth in the following description of a preferred Ausfüh approximately example, which is shown cally in the drawings. The details that are not absolutely necessary for understanding the invention have also been dispensed with in this context.
1 shows a schematic representation of the optical magnification system with the arrangement of a two-part condenser consisting of three lenses, FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of the optical magnification system with the arrangement of a condenser consisting of two lenses,
3 of the device for photographic reproduction in side view and section, the height-adjustable carrier with the lighting head and magnification system, FIGS. 4-5 a top view and a front view of FIG. 3 with the lighting partly shown in section - and magnification system,
6 -h 8 further representations and sections of a part of the height-adjustable enlargement system with the exchangeable negative carrier and the film transport device, FIG. 9 details of the film transport gripper, FIG. 10 the device arranged on the work table of the support for the copier material for actuating the Film transport,
11-13 a diagram of the electromagnetic shutter control, FIG. 14 an electrical circuit diagram for the high-power mercury overlamp.
According to the optical lighting and magnification system shown schematically in FIG. 1, 1 denotes the high-pressure mercury lamp with a power of 50 W. Between the same and the negative 2 is a two-part condenser which is permeable to UV rays in the range of approximately 300-400 nm and which comprises three spherical-plano-convex lenses 3, 4, 5 made of normal glass.
Of this, the two lenses 3, 4 are combined on the flat side with a small air gap 6 to form a precondenser and the third lens 5, which acts as the main condenser, is separated from this by the air gap 7 and is assigned to the negative 2 on the flat side. A projection objective 8, which is also transparent to UV rays in the range of 300-400 nm, is arranged below the negative 2.
The UV rays generated by the high-pressure mercury lamp 1 are collected by the two-part condenser, consisting of lenses 3, 4, 5, shine through the negative 2 and its image is transferred from the projection lens 8 onto the light-sensitive copy material 9 according to the set magnification projected.
According to the invention, the arrangement of the high pressure mercury lamp 1, the two-part condenser 3-7 and the projection lens 8 is such that the focal point generated by the high pressure mercury lamp 1 is imaged behind the lens plane in the area of the lens 8 near the axis. This results in a slight aperture error in the lens and cheap lenses can be used for projection.
The projection lens 8 is - as the arrow indicates this - for the purpose of focusing in the direction of the optical axis of the magnification system can be displaced, which is also displaceable in its entirety for the purpose of changing the magnification.
According to the optical illumination and magnification system shown schematically in FIG. 2, instead of a two-part condenser consisting of three lenses, a condenser permeable to UV rays in the range of approximately 300-400 nm with two lenses made of normal glass is arranged according to the invention.
Here, one lens 10 is planaspherical and is assigned to the high-pressure mercury lamp 1 on the plane side, while the other lens 5, separated from this lens 10 by an air gap, is made spherically plano-convex and is assigned to the negative 2 on the plane side.
Since in this condenser the beam angle from the high pressure mercury lamp 1 to the plane surface of the aspherical lens facing it is greater than in the system shown in FIG. 1, a correspondingly larger amount of beams can be effective, whereby a corresponding shortening of the Exposure time is reached.
3-10 shows an embodiment of an apparatus for producing photographic reproductions using a lighting and magnification system shown schematically in FIG. The representation is limited to a height-adjustable carrier 1 with the lighting and magnification system. The carrier 11 is guided by a column 12, which is broken off and is attached to the base plate 13.
A curved rail 14 is attached to the column 12, through which the automatic focusing of the projection lens 8 is carried out via the control lever 15, which engages the pin 16 of the lens carrier 18 which is displaceable on the guide 17.
On the upper side of the carrier 1, a bearing 19 is arranged, in which two pivot pins 21 under the action of springs 20 are movable ge leads. Herewith an axis 22 is jointly connected to which the lighting head 24 is pivotably supported by means of hinge 23. In the working position shown in FIG. 3, the end of the hinge 23 of the lighting head 24 is pressed against the bearing 19 by the springs 20.
From this working position, the lighting head 24 can be swiveled upwards into the position shown in dashed lines according to FIG. 3 and is pressed against the bearing 19 by the upper side surfaces of the hinge 23 by the springs 20. This inventive design thus ensures that the lighting head 24 is held in a non-positive manner in the pivoted position as well as in the working position, the springs 20 being so strong that the lighting head 24 is otherwise necessary in the working position Lock simultaneously presses the spring de pressure plate on the negative 2.
In the foldable lighting head 24, the replaceable high-pressure mercury lamp 1 - as shown in particular in FIGS. 3-5 - is held by two current-conducting contact springs 25 which are in line connection with a choke coil shown in FIG. According to the invention, the contact springs 25 are insulated and attached to an adjusting bolt 26 which is guided in a non-rotatable manner in a clamping sleeve 29 provided with screw thread 27 and cord nut 28 and is adjustable in the axial direction.
The clamping sleeve 29 rests from below with a disk-shaped collar 30, which is secured against rotation by a slot guide 31, on the pot-shaped cover 32, which has an enlarged bore through which the clamping sleeve 29 passes.
This inventive design enables on the one hand an adjustment of the high pressure mercury lamp 1 in the direction of the optical axis and also a central adjustment to the center of the axis of the magnification system, with the front nut 28 firmly screwing the correct position.
Finally, by loosening the front screw 33 with the entire adjustment device of the high-pressure mercury lamp 1, the cup-shaped cover 32 can be lifted off the lighting head 24 for the purpose of cleaning and replacing the condenser.
Between the height-adjustable carrier 11 and the lighting head 24 is - as FIGS. 6-9 show - the replaceable negative carrier 34 for holding and transporting the film 35 to be copied is angeord net. The negative carrier 34 can be inserted and removed by means of the dowel pins 36 in corresponding bores of the carrier 11. Above the negative carrier 34 a replaceable pressure plate 37 with glass disk 38 is provided for pressing and holding the Fil mes 35 flat. The pressure plate 37 is supported by its hinge axis 39 in grooves of the bearings 40 on both sides. On each bearing 40 there is a bolt 42 pivotable about the clamping screw 41.
In the position shown in Fig. 8, the removal of the pressure plate 37 is prevented by the bolt 42 and in the position of the bolt 42 shown in dashed lines, the pressure plate 37 can be removed from the La like 40. At the bottom of the lighting head 24 Be two leaf springs 43 are attached, which act on the pressure plate 37 with the glass 38 and thereby press the film 35 against the position of the negative carrier 34 on.
A longitudinally movable film transport slide 44 is arranged on the lower side of the negative carrier 34, which is guided on both longitudinal edges by shoulder screws 45 and moved back against the stop 47 by a tension spring 46. The film transport slide 44 has control parts 48 which are bent on both sides and which work together with control pins 49 which can be moved perpendicularly thereto, which are passed upward in the negative carrier 34 and abut against the pressure plate 37, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.
A film gripper 50 is also arranged on the film transport slide 44, which - as FIG. 9 shows enlarged - is movably supported between the bearing parts 51 on the La gerstift 52 and engages the perforation of the film 35 with its transport teeth through the compression spring 53.
The Fihntransportschieber 44 finally has a slot 54, in which a coupling pin 55 of the lever 56 engages, which is movable below the height-adjustable carrier 11 to the bearing pin 57 and is moved back by the tension spring 58 in the starting position. With the lever 56 of the Bow denzug 59 is connected, which can be operated by a handle 60 preferably arranged on the base plate 13 since Lich. The handle 60 is fastened to a guided in the side bearing 61 cylindrical slide 62 be, with which the other end of the Bowden cable 59 is firmly a related party, for example by clamping screws 63.
The slide 62 also has an adjustable stop designed as a cord nut 64.
When the handle 60 is operated, the Bow denzug 59 moves the lever 56 associated therewith according to FIGS. 7 and 8 to the right. Here, its coupling pin 55 takes the film transport slide 44 with it and its film gripper 50 causes the film 35 to be transported image-by-image. At the beginning of this movement, the control parts 48 formed on the film transport slide 44 move the control pins 49 upwards and thereby the pressure plate 37 lifted from the film 35.
The image-wise film transport thus takes place without any clamping effect on the film, which reliably prevents damage that would otherwise be caused to it. The transport movement is limited by a slot-like opening 65 provided on the negative carrier 34, at both ends of which the Filmgrei fer 50 strikes.
When the handle 60 is moved back, the control pins 49 raised by the control parts 48 of the film transport slide 44 slide back again and the pressure plate 37 presses the film 35 against the negative carrier 34. At the same time, the film gripper 50 slides under the film 35 with its beveled teeth during this return movement so that it remains at rest.
Between the lever 56 arranged on the carrier 11 there is a releasable coupling connection through the coupling pin 55, in that the same engages in the slot 54 of the film transport slide 44. This makes it possible to replace the negative carrier 34 with simultaneous uncoupling from the film transport device arranged on the carrier 11.
The negative window provided in the negative carrier 34 and in the pressure plate 37 is dimensioned to a certain format size - for example 24 × 36 mm. According to the invention, the pressure plate 37 is designed in such a way that it can be exchanged with other pressure plates by pivoting the bolts 42, which are, for example, adapted to a negative format of 12 × 18 mm.
In the case of photographic duplication in subdued daylight and / or artificial light, it is necessary that, in addition to the negative to be duplicated, the neighboring part of the film can also be viewed in order to determine whether and which negative will be duplicated during the subsequent work process.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that - as FIGS. 7 and 8 show - on the side of the enlargement system, for example at a distance of two or three negatives, on the negative carrier 34 additionally a round opening 66 or opening 66 corresponding to the negative and in the same way Such an opening is also provided in the film transport slide 45 and in the carrier 11. Below these openings, a 45 inclined game 67 is attached to the carrier 11, through which the overlying the openings 66 film part or negative can be sought.
According to the invention, the light emitted by the high-pressure mercury lamp 1 is also used to illuminate it, which light falls through an opening 68 provided on the bottom of the lighting head 24 onto the film part to be viewed.
It is known that high-pressure mercury lamps are not suitable for direct connection to the mains, but that they require a choke coil as ballast, since these are discharge lamps that have a quartz glass burner in which light is generated by discharge between the two electrons takes place in mercury vapor.
This process requires a start-up time of 4-7 minutes, so that the lamp has to be on for the entire working time and accordingly the UV radiation path for exposing the copy material may only be released for the exposure time required for this. In the device of the invention, this is ensured by an electromagnetically controlled shutter assigned to the projection lens 8. The same consists, as shown in FIGS. 3-11, from the cover wing 68, wel cher in a bearing bushing 69 of the holder 70 pivotally stored bar.
The holder 70 is connected to a bearing part 71 of the lens mount 18 by means of the joint 72. According to the invention, the holder 70 can be pivoted with the cover wing 68 in and out of the beam path of the projection lens 18 and is held in the two setting positions by a leaf spring 73 attached to the bearing part 71. The cover wing 68 has a fork arm 74 in which a coupling pin 76 which can be controlled by the electromagnets 75 engages.
According to the circuit diagram shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, the connections for the mains voltage are denoted by 77. The power line is fed into a regulable timer 78 which controls a relay. The same is provided with a changeover switch 80 which switches the two electromagnets 75 alternately.
The electromagnets 75, which are connected to the transformer 81, actuate the cover wing 68 of the shutter by means of a coupling pin 76 - as shown in FIG. 11 - and move it into and out of the UV beam path of the projection lens B for the purpose of exposure.
With the timer 78 is another switch 82 in power connection, which bypasses the timer 78 and, when actuated, enables permanent triggering of the top wing 68 of the closure.
14 shows a circuit diagram for the high-pressure mercury lamp 1. 77 denotes the connections for the mains voltage, 83 the switch button, 84 the capacitor and 85 the choke coil.
