Clamp for connecting pipes The invention relates to a clamp for releasably connecting pipes on the end face, the clamp ends having clamping means.
In pipes, for example for ventilation systems, pneumatic conveying systems for agricultural crops and the like. there is a need to be able to releasably connect individual pipe sections or pipe bends to one another at the end, whereby the connection should be made and released as quickly and easily as possible.
The invention, which is intended to solve this problem, is characterized in that the clip is designed as a flat, flexible band into which several spaced apart, in cross-section V-shaped, inwardly opening channels are pressed.
Such a clamp can be produced very easily and inexpensively and largely adapts to the tubular shape.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a plan view of the clamp in the stretched position, FIG. 2 shows a side view in the bent state, FIG. 3 shows a section through two tubes held together by the clamp, FIG. 4 shows a plan view of the V-shaped inner part .
The clip consists essentially of a flat, hand-bendable metal band 1, for example a slightly resilient steel band. This band 1 has V-shaped impressions at several points spaced apart from one another, so that an inwardly opening channel 2 is formed at these points. In the case of pipes to be connected with a diameter of about 50 cm, five such gutters are preferably provided. The pipes 3 to be connected are each provided at their ends with an angle iron 4, which is placed around the outer circumference of the pipe and connected to the sem.
The two legs of this angle iron, which run parallel to the end face of the tubes 3, lie opposite one another and accommodate a sealing ring 5 between them.
Through the clamp placed over this angle iron 4, the two pipe sections to be connected are drawn against each other through the channel-shaped part, whereby a coupling of these pipes and at the same time a centering of the same takes place. The ends of the band 1 are provided with tensioning means so that these bands can be pulled against each other. At one end of the tape, a tab 6 is welded, in the Ge threaded hole a threaded hook 7 is used. At the other end of the tape there is a pivotably mounted bracket 8, which can be brought to interact with this thread dehaken, the bracket 8 in the closed position behind its dead point.
The parts of the clamps lying between the channels are bent when they are tightened and adapt to any cross-sectional irregularities in the pipes. When not in use, this clip can be stored in the stretched state to save space. The apex edge of the channel runs in a straight line so that the channel part only rests against the angle iron 4 over a short area.
Instead of pipes for the passage of air, this clamp could also be used for pipes in which liquid circulates. This clamp is particularly suitable for pipes over 30 cm in diameter. Since this clamp with its flat sections adapts well to the pipes, it is insensitive to tolerance fluctuations. In addition, this clip can also be used for oval pipes.
