Window sill console The invention relates to a window sill console which is attached exclusively to the lower leg of the window frame. Such consoles should not only be easy to manufacture, but also be easy and quick to assemble, even in cases where the window frame is already hinged.
The console according to the invention is characterized in that one end of the console bracket rests with its upper side directly on the underside of the frame leg and is provided with an element that determines the position of at least one fastening means that is invisible from above and is penetrated or traversed by this fastening means.
Several exemplary embodiments of the invention will then be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1-7 each show an embodiment of a window sill console in side view in the position mounted on the window frame.
The support arm 1 of the illustrated console can be made of sheet metal: a T or L profile rail made of steel, iron or light metal or made of injection molding, the top of the console forming ge through the broad side of a flange 2 of the support arm 1 becomes.
According to Fig. 1-3, a hollow rod or sleeve 4 is attached to the support arm 1 near its fastening end 3 by welding, gluing or screwing, which protrudes transversely to the upper side of the arm and is at least partially penetrated by a fastening screw 5 when the console is mounted whereby their mounting position is determined.
According to FIG. 1, the sleeve 4 is inclined obliquely upwards from the underside of the arm towards the adjacent arm end 3 and, with the lower end face b, forms a support for the screw head 7.
When assembling the console, the part of the sleeve 4 protruding over the upper side of the arm is pushed into the pre-drilled, precisely fitting hole 8, with its upper side on the underside "of the window frame leg 9 Then, the fastening screw 5 is inserted into: the sleeve 4 and screwed tightly in the frame leg 9 in the direction predetermined thereby.
The inclined position of the sleeve 4 facilitates console assembly when the window frame is already attached and also results in good anchoring of the sleeve 4 and screw 5 in the material of the frame leg 9. At the end of the arm 3, a further screw 10 can be inserted from below through the flange 2 the frame leg 9 be screwed to serve as a backup against the other end of the arm, possibly acting from below forces.
According to FIG. 2, the sleeve 4 is perpendicular to the upper side of the arm, but is inserted in the same way into a pre-drilled hole 8 in the frame leg 9 and penetrated by the fastening screw 5 @, as in FIG. 1.
According to Fig. 3: the only on the top of the flange 2 perpendicular to this attached sleeve 4 is provided with an internal thread 11 and is partially penetrated by a screw 12 screwed into this thread from the top of the Rah mankels 9 ago.
In the examples according to FIGS. 1 and 2, instead of a fastening screw with a wood thread, a metal threaded screw could be screwed into a threaded sleeve previously screwed into the elongated bore 8, as this results in an anchoring on a larger scale in the frame leg.
According to Fig. 4, a rod 13 made of square or flat iron is fixed vertically on the top of the arm flange 2 "which is inserted into a matching hole in the frame leg 9 from below during the assembly of the console and through at least one of the front side of the frame fastening screw 14. The entry hole 15 for this screw in the frame leg 9 can be cemented up after assembly. Instead of the screw, an anchoring bolt or pin could also be used.
A round bolt or a hollow rod is also suitable as a rod.
In the exemplary embodiments, in particular for consoles of a lighter design, according to Frtg. 5-7, a screw support 16 is attached near the fastening end 3 of the support arm 1 under the flange 2.
When the console is mounted, this support 16, as well as the flange 2 above it, is traversed by two fastening screws 17, the screw through holes 18 and 19 in these two parts determining the longitudinal direction of the screws. The screw heads 20 are on the underside of the screw support 16,
which is parallel to Fig. 6 to the arm flange 2 and facing away from Fig. 5 and 7 from the adjacent arm end 3 and inclined, and are thereby held at a distance from the flange 2 forming the arm top. In the case of the screw support with an inclined underside, the latter can be stepped according to FIG. 7 into a support surface 21 for the screw heads 20.
The screw support 16 can be used as a bracket, such as. B. in Fig. 5 and 6, made of sheet metal or metal profile, or as a solid body, for. B. as in Fig. 7 made of cast metal or plastic. The screw support 16 can on the support arm 1 .z. B. fastened by welding or gluing or, in particular in the case of solid screw supports, also be fixed by the screws 17 only.
With the element formed in the described as a sleeve 4, rod 13 or screw support 16, the position of the loading fastening means and at the same time the position of the support arm, the console is determined.
