End closure that can be attached to a gutter made of plastic The invention relates to an end closure that can be attached to a gutter made of plastic and has an approximately semicircular bottom part made of plastic, the latter having two collars on one side which form a groove between them for grasping the end of the gutter .
The purpose of the invention is to create an end closure that can be easily removed from the usual injection or casting molds, can be easily attached to the open end of a gutter and still closes the end firmly without the aid of other tools and prevents rainwater from flowing out .
The purpose is achieved according to the invention with an end closure that can be attached to a gutter made of plastic in that the width of the groove is greater than the wall thickness of the gutter, and that a bead following the course of the groove is arranged in the groove so that the distance between the bead and the opposite groove wall is smaller than the wall thickness of the gutter. This bead, which can be composed of partial beads, causes the firm adhesion.
The inner gripping wall or the inner collar expediently protrudes further than the outer collar. This makes it easier to insert, because you simply place the gutter and inner collar against each other and then slide the end piece in the direction of the gutter. Out. For manufacturing reasons, the inner gripping wall is conveniently limited on the inside by an outwardly widening cone. The depth of the groove is made before geous smaller than the internally measured height of the inner collar, because in this way the end piece is reinforced at the mainly mechanically stressed point. At the top, the base advantageously has an edge strip which connects the roots of the inner collar wall to one another and in this way prevents the base from tearing open.
So that the end piece described adheres well, the width of the groove is greater than the wall thickness of the gutter, because then the end piece can be pushed on by the entire depth of the groove. Despite the greater width of the groove, the bead ensures that it adheres firmly. The suspension of the elastic plastic, if necessary taking into account the inclined inner wall, ensures easy removal from the mold.
In the drawing, two advantageous examples from implementation for the subject matter of the invention are shown schematically. 1 shows the end view of the gutter piece, FIG. 2 shows the object of FIG. 1 in plan view, partially in section, and FIG. 3 shows a similar representation of another exemplary embodiment.
The end piece shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a base 41 from which both an inner collar 42 and an outer collar 43 protrude on the same side. The groove 44, the width of which is greater than the wall thickness of the gutter, is located between the two collars. The inner collar 42 is conical on the inside at 45 ge staltet. The groove 44 follows the shape of the gutter floor.
The outer collar 43 has on the side of the groove 44 a circumferential bead 46 which reduces the width of the groove so far that a sufficient clamping effect is obtained on the gutter. For example, the width of the groove 44 is 10% larger than the wall thickness of the gutter. In this case, the bead 46 can be made so thick that it is about one third of the total gutter wall thickness. In Fig. 3 the functions of the two collars are reversed. The two collars 52 and 53 extend from the bottom 51 and point in the same direction.
Between them there is a groove 54 of essentially U-shaped cross section. The inner collar 52 again has the conical surface 55 on the inside. This time, however, the bead 56 is attached to the outer side of the inner collar 52.
The embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2 on the one hand and FIG. 3 on the other hand wear upper edge strips 47 and 57, which connect the roots of the collar 42 and 52 with each other and in this way prevent a tear.
