Le dessin annexé représente à titre d'exemple une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention la fig. 1 montre en élévation l'engin poseur trans portant une culée munie de supports extensibles ; la fig. 2 montre à échelle agrandie une culée avec supports télescopiques; Ses fig. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 et 9 représentent les sup ports télescopiques et leurs détails constructifs ; les fig. 10 et Il montrent la culée avec supports déployés ;
Support device for a flying bridge The use of flying bridges transportable by tanks is currently common for modern armies. These bridges are sometimes made up of two foldable parts intended to increase their reach, but in spite of everything, the length of these machines remains quite small. Thus, these insufficient dimensions constitute serious drawbacks when a breach of a width greater than the length of the bridge is encountered, which thereby becomes unusable.
It is therefore essential to create an intermediate support, which is sometimes impossible, in particular when this support must be done by hand and under enemy fire, sometimes even under water.
The present invention relates to a support device for a flying bridge, characterized in that it comprises an abutment comprising a span provided at one end with a base plate and at the other end with at least one support. folding telescopic frame containing an incompressible fluid allows both the length of the support to be adapted to the depth of the breach to be crossed, the support comprising locking flying buttresses and the whole being fitted with an auxiliary pump allowing the length to be rectified. of the telescopic support during use.
This support device can be incorporated <I> porés: </I> a system making it possible to suppress the flow of a fluid from the expandable reservoirs, auxiliary pumps making it possible to vary the length of the supports in order to obtain a mobile bridge element with auxiliary support which can serve as an intermediate support either for other identical elements, or for a deployable bridge of known type, in order to allow the crossing of breaches, watercourses, and of very large width .
The appended drawing represents by way of example an embodiment of the object of the invention, FIG. 1 shows in elevation the trans laying machine carrying an abutment provided with extendable supports; fig. 2 shows on an enlarged scale an abutment with telescopic supports; Its figs. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 represent the telescopic supports and their construction details; figs. 10 and He show the abutment with extended supports;
figs. 12 and 13 represent applications of the device; fig. 14 is a section of the telescopic support with safety device, and.
figs. 15 and 16 are partial sections, on an enlarged scale of this support.
The abutment is formed by a span 1 constructed in the same way as the deployable bridge 2, normally used by a carrier 3. This work is provided with a cone 4 and comprises base plates 5, a decking 6, access ramps 7, all identical to those of deck 2.
The side members 8 of the span 1 are extended at the end opposite the ramps 7 by a stepped part 9. The side members 8 are joined in the unhooked part 9: by corrugated sheet metal platforms 10, themselves covered by other platforms 11 supported by platforms 10 by means of elastic cushions 12 for their adaptation to the loads that they will have to bear.
The platforms I1 are ribbed so that the ribs 13 form protrusions. Cross members 14 are fixed transversely under the recesses 9, and serve as a support for the chairs 15 connected by pins 16 clamped in the sockets 17 by bolts 18. The arrangement of the chairs 15 and the pins 16 is such that a once in place the pins 16 are inclined relative to the horizontal, as well as relative to a transverse plane. These pins 16 serve as journals for the hollow cylinders 20, thanks to bushings 21.
Inside the cylinders 20 slide pistons 22 plugged at their end 23 and whose sliding is sealed with respect to the cylinders 20 by means of seals 24 similar to those used in the cylinders. The pistons 22, together with the cylinders 20, constitute kinds of jacks, the chambers 25 of which communicate with the reservoirs 26 by means of flexible pipes 27, and of teries pipes 28 passing through the stop valves 29.
Inside the pistons 22 are provided tubular ropes 30 pierced with openings 31 which key systems 32 allow to immobilize at variable lengths.
The extensions 30 are terminated by a male sphere 33 serving as a seat for a female sphere 34 reaching a base 35 provided with anchoring stakes 36.
The set of parts 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 constitute telescopic supports 37 which can be extended and folded down capable of supporting the end 38 of the span 1, the other of which end rests on the ground by the base plates 5.
The reservoirs 26 are composed of a bottom 39 and a cap 40 joined in a sealed manner by an extensible ring 41 in the form of a bellows, and constituted by a material capable of withstanding the fluid contained.
The cap 40, which is provided with a filling opening 42, is constantly urged towards the bottom 39 by a system of springs 43. These springs 43 keep the tank full without air and with a certain pressure whatever its position or its position. volume.
Stop valves 29 are normally held in the closed position by springs 44, and their key is connected by a linkage 45 to articulated levers 46 which can oscillate about their axes 47.
When these levers 46 are brought by gravity into their lower position 48 shown in solid lines, the springs 44 are tensioned. 2 by the weight of the levers 46 and the valves 29 are placed in the open position.
When the levers 46 are brought into the erased position 49 shown in dotted lines, the stop rollers 29, urged by opposing springs 44 are hermetically closed.
The telescopic supports 37 are joined to the flying buttresses 51 by ears 52 welded against the cylinders 20 and by pins 53.
The other end of the flying buttresses 51 is provided with a head 54 traversed by an axis 55 about which rollers 56 can rotate.
These rollers 56 are designed to roll inside slides 57 fixed under the span I so as to be oriented in the folding plane of the supports 37.
When supports 37 occupy the position per pendicular to the span shown in fig. 3, the stroke of the buttresses 51 is limited forward by stops 58 against which the rollers 56 come to rest, when the flying buttresses 51 occupy this extreme position their heads 54 are also stuck by stops 59 attached to articulated struts 60 normally retracted by the return springs 61.
These struts 60 are folded down, in the wedging position by the flying buttresses 51, by pistons 62 of the jacks 63, the chambers 64 of which are joined to the pipes 28 by flexible pipes 65.
The end 66 of the flying buttresses 51 is connected to a lifting beam 66 bis by cables or flexible chains 67 passing over return pulleys 68 so that when the lifting beam 66 bis is pushed in the direction of arrow 69, the flying buttresses 51 are returned to their limit position against the stops 58.
The movement of the beam 66 bis is obtained by the thrust of a telescopic cylinder 91 which is part of the mechanism for laying the carrier tank 3.
The jack according to fig. 14 to 16 consists of an upper tube 101 of large diameter provided at its upper part with a collar 102 bolted to a spherical cap 103 forming at its upper part a half-collar 104 connecting the tube 101 to the shaft 105 d 'an inclined support <B> 106 </B> fixed to span 1.
This tube 101 is provided at its lower part with a conical base 107. The tube 108 slides inside the tube 101 with a certain clearance and is provided in its middle with a watertight partition 109, and at its part upper of a stuffing box 110 through which slides the rectified rod of the plunger 111.
The upper part of the plunger 111 ends in a spherical head 112 of the same diameter as the spherical cap 103 of the tube 101. A small diameter inner tube <B> 113 </B> allows the fluid to be introduced at the upper part of the tube. tube 108 above the partition 109 thanks to the nozzle 114 connected to the tube 27.
The lower part of the tube 108 is reinforced by the collar <B> 115 </B> provided with openings <B> 116. </B> A tube of smaller diameter <B> 117 </B> passes through the collar 115 and can slide inside the tube 108 by guiding itself on the reinforcement <B> 118. </B> The tube 117 is provided with openings <B> 119 </B> of the same dimensions as those of the collar 115 so as to be able to hold the tube 117 relative to the tube 108 by passing the flanges 115 and the tube 117 through an appropriate key 120. The lower part of the tube 117 is terminated by the sphere 121 which serves as a support.
The safety device 122 is provided around the tube 108 in order to remedy a leak in the stuffing box 110 or in the supply circuit. It is formed by a collar 123, the upper part 124 of which has the shape of a cone of the same slope and dimensions as the conical base <B> 107 </B> of the tube 101. A hinge 125 on which the levers are journaled 126 connected by the yokes 127 to the flange 123, is provided on a flange 128 depending on the base 107.
The collar 123 is itself suspended from the collar <B> 128 </B> depending on the base, by rods 129 provided with springs 130 which balance the weight of the device 122, the inner part of which has a bore 131 of the same. diameter than the outside of the tube 108. The cone 124 is provided with slots 124a so as to allow it to expand and compress. A rod <B> 132 </B> joined to the threaded nut 133 of a screw 134 makes it possible to engage the cone 124 in the base 107, or to release it.
The operation of the device is explained as follows: For transport, the abutment span 1 seized and lifted by the tanker, is placed on it in the position shown in FIG. 1. In this position, the telescopic supports 37 are folded down and the sliding part forming a piston 22 extended to the maximum.
In this folded down position, the bases 35 are brought back inwards so as not to exceed the width of the span 1, thanks to the inclination of the pins 16.
When the transporter tank places the abutment, it approaches the obstacle in reverse gear. 10 in order to flip the abutment, as if it were a bridge.
By this rotational movement the supports 37 gradually assume the vertical position by rotating around the axes 16.
When the span is in an almost horizontal position, the extension of the telescopic cylinder 91 allows the lifting beam 66 bis to be moved and the flying buttresses in contact with the stops 58. = Y 3 The stop valves 29 are in the open position under the effect of the levers 46 which pull by their weight on the linkage 45 and combat the action of the springs 44. The reservoirs 26 then communicate with the chambers 25 of the cylinders 20, and can receive the chamber fluid 25.
The tank, continuing its folding maneuvers, has the emba ses 35 placed on the bottom of the breach 70, which are supported there by their spheres 33, 34.
The span continues its downward movement by pushing back into its reservoirs 26 the fluid contained in the chambers 20. When the span has reached the desired position, the tank 3 only has to place the other end of the span on the ground. 1 and the abutment is in place with its supports automatically adjusted to the chosen height.
In fact, by placing the span 1 on the ground, the levers 46 are pushed back into the retracted position 49 and no longer exert any traction on the linkages 45 which allows the springs 44 to close the valves 29.
These taps being hermetically closed the incompressible fluid contained in the chambers 20 can no longer flow back into the reservoir 26 hand firmly holds the supports 27 at the chosen length, but at the same time the pressure of the fluid becomes sufficient in the cylinders 63 to overcome the force springs 61 of the struts 60 which come wedge cer the buttresses 51. The supports 37 are thus firmly held in the working position.
During their folding the supports 37 rotating around the axes 16 gradually move away from each other, this because of the inclination of the pins 16. This separation movement allows to obtain a wider support base. than that of span 1, and at the same time tightens the spacer chain 71 which constitutes a tie rod increasing the strength of the assembly.
In the example described, the stop valves 29 are opened or closed by the play of the levers 46 resting or not on the ground, but the same result can be obtained by the forward movement of the spreader 66a which can open the valves 29 by means of a push rod 72, canceling the traction of the springs 73 which close the valves 29.
The rubber cushions 12 can be replaced by sealed containers 74 filled with a suitable fluid fig. 9.
When the bridge is established and must remain in place for a prolonged time, the initial trim is reestablished if necessary following soil compaction, for example.
Thus, if a base 35 has sunk deeper into the ground than another, pressurized fluid is injected into the chamber 20 of the corresponding support through the fitting 75 provided for this use on the pipe 28. This pressurized fluid is injected using a hand pump 76 of known type, which can be removable or permanently attached to the span 1.
Screw tensioners 76,77 are also provided for correcting and stiffening the buttresses 51 and the distance between the gauge 71.
When the abutment span 1 is placed, the carrier tank 3 can cross it and extend it by laying a transportable bridge 2 of the normal type, by resting one end of the bridge on the platforms 11 while the other end will rest on the opposite bank. The effective passable length will then be increased by the length of span 1 (fig. 12).
It is also possible if the obstacle to be crossed is of very large dimension, to lay one after the other, several spans 1 with their supports 37 and to end the bridge thus established by a conventional deployable bridge or a gangway 78 fig. 13.
