Throttle valve The conventional throttle valves, which are installed in lines with a large flow rate, have the major disadvantage that they are easily swept away by the flow and thus suddenly blocked.
At. inlet nozzles equipped with float-controlled throttle valves, to which z. B. the filling hose of a tanker is ruled out, the reaching of the specified level of the fuel oil, gasoline or other liquid tank to be filled causes the sudden shut-off of the throttle valve, and can destroy this and the filling hose, which is undesirable for safety reasons .
Hard liquid hammers when closing the throttle valve are to a certain extent inevitable if no expensive and complicated control units are involved.
The invention relates to a throttle valve in liquid lines. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that one part of the flap has on the circumference a leading-lengthened closing edge emerging from the flap plane, through which a forward one-sided closure can be effected when the flap is still partially open.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the inlet connection of a tank provided with the throttle valve according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section along line II-II in FIG. 1, FIG 3 shows a vertical section through an embodiment variant of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a horizontal section along line IV-IV in FIG. 3,
and FIG. 5 shows a view of the inlet connection with the float-controlled throttle device according to the invention.
According to Fig. 1, 2 and 5, 1 denotes the inlet nozzle, which is mounted in the tank in the usual way. In the inlet port 1, the throttle valve 2 is superimposed with its axis 3 in the bearings 4 and 5 rotatably ge. The axis 3 of the throttle valve 2 is articulated to the swing arm 8 of a float 9 by the lever arm 6 and a link 7. According to Fig. 3 and 5 is in the horizontal position of the float arm 8, the throttle valve 2 in the closed position, while in an inclined position of z. B. about 30 degrees to the horizontal abge lowered floating arm 8, the throttle valve is in its open position.
One of the two halves of the throttle valve divided by the axis 3 has on its circumference a leading, elongated closing edge 10 protruding from the valve plane, which includes an opening angle of approximately 25 with the valve plane. The closing edge 10 runs obliquely with respect to the flap plane and has a spherically cambered outer surface 11 and the free inwardly laid end 12 is rounded.
With normal design of the throttle valve, when the closing movement is initiated by the float, the throttle valve is carried away by the liquid flow during the execution of its closing movement and is forced to prematurely close the inlet connection before the specified level of the tank is reached.
In the case of the throttle valve described, on the other hand, with the closing movement of the throttle valve controlled by the float, the leading closing edge 10, after rotating the valve by approx. 65 degrees, achieves a premature closure by the leading closing edge of one throttle valve half. can be seen in FIG.
As a result, the final half of the throttle valve, selklapp.e, is opposed to a greater liquid pressure than that which acts on the partially open throttle valve half. The torque generated by this one-sided liquid pressure on the throttle valve counteracts the closing movement of the throttle valve and prevents the same from suddenly closing.
The closing movement is now completed more slowly under the increasing buoyancy of the swimmer.
In Fig. 2, a variant of the Dros selklappe is shown, in which the flap half with the leading closing edge is selected smaller by eccentric position of the axis of rotation 3 than the other half of the flap. This embodiment is particularly suitable for high filling pressures when filling a liquid container.
As a result of this leading closing edge, a certain inhibition in the closing movement is achieved during the closing movement of the throttle flap due to the one-sided closure of the same, whereby a sudden closure in the end movement is prevented.
